End Turn

There is a long pause before Eyero speaks, [b]I had hoped that Belisous would not join the others against me. If she too is to fight me, I cannot hope to succeed completely.

I do nothing this turn.

I'm not sure if killing thousands all over the world, ruining crops and live stock with acid rain, etc etc for just 13 points is fair. I mean, if we brush over the ramifications and make it mostly for show, sure, but it sounds like major devastation for very little cost.

Again, IMO

Mhmm, I've been debating with myself if it seems fair, and I'm still not sure. Our was meant as for show.

Technically, thousands could be as few as 2K each. Four thousand is still a lot, but not over the scope of an entire world. I was thinking that hundreds seemed like too few, but I guess that could still be up to 2700 total.
I have no problem making it less if you other folks would prefer it that way. Games should be fun and fair for everyone. :)

Power: 3d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1, 1) + 3 + 2 = 13

Eyero laughs as Belisous rains fire on his people. That is truly wonderful. But it could use a but more flair, don't you think?
With that statement, time seems to slow. Just a moment before impact Eyero sprinkles some of his blood on the falling object, then stands back to watch.
The meteor crashes into the earth--Tunnels and caverns collapse--Undead creatures re-die, and cities are destroyed.
. . .
And earth and dust are thrown up into the atmosphere. There they mix with the god's black blood, becoming corrupted, poisonous. This compound falls like acid rain across the entire planet. Thousands die to the sickness. Thousands more to starvation due to the destruction of their crops. In the following months as the disease spreads, hundreds more give up and take their own lives in the hope of avoiding the pain that inevitably precedes the sickness.
The god of death smiles, pleased with his work. He turns to the others. Every action you take against me--every strike you make in the name of freedom or goodness will be turned against you to the destruction of those pitiful mortals you hold dear. A pause, Perhaps we can come to an agreement. I get freedom over a limited domain and do not seek conquest outside of that.

I figure a catastrophe of that scale probably costs more than ten points. Since I'm not completely getting rid of anything I feel it's okay to spend thirteen and call it good. Maybe one of those is my avatar's create race ability, since I have no intention of using that.

I think it's safe to say that anyone who hasn't gone at this point forfeits their turn. I'll wait for someone to second that before going.

Eyero raises his eyebrow as Dyrm sends out the dreamers. His tone is somehow both mocking and sincere, Dyrm, my friend, why do you do this? I was under the impression you enjoyed a bit of conflict.
Power 2:2: 5d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 4, 4) + 2 + 1 = 20 I just can't seem to roll above average. Oh well
Sighing, I suppose with this turn of events, I shall merely have to raise more armies to do battle. He removes his bone knife from his robe again; opening his mouth, he cuts his tongue, then spits the blood upon the Urdei. Corrupt civ: -2 now
In the frenzy of their god's blood, more undead are called to arms. Tens of thousands gather underground preparing for war. Raise four more armies, one with avatar
Finally, The Corrupter turns his gaze on Twinstar. He spits again, and unease breaks out among the city. The people, peviously so pure and good, experience a spree of crime--Minor by the standards of the world--but significant considering how secure he people have become with their safety. Corrupt Twinstar. If I remember correctly the angels are at +4, so then Twinstar is at +3. Cursed do-gooders.

2 points left

After nearly a millenia of his silence, the gods begin wondering where Eyero has gone. St first they cannot find him, but eventually Karmesh notes a subdued aura of darkness around the caverns that were Eyero's first creation--the Tyrant has been carefully concealing his actions from the others, and what they find horrifies (most of) them.
Four large cities (Ormeld, Crasus, Leolden, and Marshaun) have been built by the undead. Within these have gathered great armies of soldiers who never die of natural causes. These are all led by a monstrous beast--A dragon larger than any other, given unlife and incredible power. Its name is Irthun, and it is cruel and merciless.

Eyero looks up as the others become aware of him. He smiles. You have but a few years to prepare for war. This world will be mine!

Create avatar, build four cities, raise army in each city (one of those with the avatar), advance technology in necromancy, terrifying warfare (tactics designed to demoralized and frighten enemies), and weapon enchanting. 3 points left. I don't have access to the map until later today, so I can add stuff then or someone else can add them for me. Just wanted to finally take my turn.

power, turns 7 8 9: 9d6 + 17 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 3, 3, 6, 5, 3, 4) + 17 = 54
work now. Will post during my break, and then will update the map tomorrow.

Karmesh wrote:
Eyero, do you have any plans we should incorporate into the next rounds, in case you're absent?

I would like to create an avatar, and I have plans too build a city in the caves, which could be retconned later if you guys are okay with that.

On the other hands, Eyero has no problem stocking lots of power. He is sure to do something devastating with it later.

power: 3d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 1, 6) + 9 = 17
Probably going to be absent for a bit. I want to take advantage of the few days off work I have. Move on however far you go without me.

I had kind of been hoping you guys would let everyone who did for the next few thousand years rot. That was Eyero's first mistake, I didn't think about you all acting so soon.
I hope that out if character no one is bothered by what I did, and I apologize if they are, I did not mean my turn to be frustrating but I see now that it might have been.

Eyero's method of creation makes me wonder what he did to lose his eye.
Anyway, I hooe you all like my fifth round action. :)

power: 3d6 + 30 ⇒ (3, 2, 6) + 30 = 41

That is much better. Now I can do as I have desired.

The Lord of Undeath draws a jagged bone dagger from his robes. With a swift movement he opens a long gash in what remains of his left hand. Black blood splatters across the world, falling like acid from the skies. Wherever it touches, the ground boils. A moment later creatures begin to emerge from under earth and stone--Risen bodies from every intelligent race. Some are swathed in rotting flesh, others only bare bones. All of them are hideous.
Create sub-race from all other races in perpetuity--The Urdei. Any creature who wishes to can choose to live on in undeath, rather than moving to the afterlife. What's that? There is no afterlife? Hmm...
With a scream of pain, Eyero wields the blade a second time, this time sawing the skin and muscle away from his bone. Howling again, he breaks off his forearm, leaving the shredded mass of flesh hanging. After grinding the bone to powder with another instrument, Eyero flings it through the air, where it spreads and vanishes.
Event: create afterlife. Every creature that dies goes to a place of eternal torment, more horrific than any words or pictures can describe. Until another god changes things, the only way to avoid this is to accept the gift of immortality.

Eyero looks on these creations with glee, then stops, thinking. Even the undead cannot avoid fate forever. They will each be destroyed eventually. I had better provide them a better place to rest. He looks at Atresse, But the creation of a pleasant afterlife needs fuel from someone of purer heart than I. Atresse, may I take some of yours? He chuckles, not waiting for an answer. Why do I even ask? We all know I'm going to take it anyway. He lunges. Blood spurts. The wound heals instantly, but the true damage is already done. With a grin Eyero fashions a second resting place for the deceased.
[/ooc]Event: create Paradise of the Damned. Any undead creature who has served Eyero to his satisfaction ends up here rather than elsewhere. Each individual lives their own personal perfect reality. Murderers are just as happy here as saints.[/ooc]

Hmm. I wonder... Eyero draws at the power of the universe, pulling it into himself.
Power: 3d6 + 22 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) + 22 = 30
He sighs That was disappointing. I shall wait.
same offer as last turn.

Very nice! I had something similar in mind with Karmesh, but I will go a slightly different route now. We don't really have an underworld/deity of the dead right now, do we? I think the whole concept of what happens to the mortal races in death is somewhat important for the later ages, anyone with some ideas?

I have an idea. *mwahahaha!*

that is pretty much the coolest idea I have seen so far... Undead trees; dang. Well done. :)

Massive gather power: 5d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 4, 4) + 1 + 1 = 22

Hmm; I see nothing that needs doing.
He thinks for a moment Perhaps someone would like to make a deal? The use of my power now in exchange for theirs later?
Making an open offer to give my power to someone else in exchange for taking an equal amount at a ti,e of my choosing (or they can pay me back before if they wish, either parts at a time or in full. This is for whoever wants to take it first--You don't have to take it all, just as much as you want, and any left over can be taken by anyone else)

I'm totally going to start with this. Been busy myself starting working nights and today being the first year anniversary with my girlfriend, but that should all call down now.

Wow, I'm going to have to write some stuff up when I have time, even though Eyero would never give that information up himself.
He would be kind of amused that some if the gods still haven't caught on that all of his undead will be intelligent. At least the ones that he creates directly.

Despite what many of you seem to think, I have no quarrel with the living. They are merely not as efficient of servants. If those of the mortal races willing accept and follow the laws I give them, then I will offer my protection to them as well--And the promise of immortality after they do pass.

Might as well do stuff with round 2 since I have access now.

I suppose I had best add to this. Not let you all shape the world I will eventually rule.
Eyero pulls the fingers off of his left ground, and throws them down upon the land. The severed digits begin to writhe and twist. The flesh falls off and the bone sloughs away, leaving behind... Worms. These giant monstrosities begin burrowing in the earth, carving immense passages in the stone, the clay, and the dirt before vanishing from the sight of even the gods. Change landscape of four hexes to include massive cave systems.
Next, he comes in close to the land--And exhales a mighty breath of noxious gas into these new caverns. All of the animals and vegetation sickens and dies within a few moments of being touched by these fumes. Soon nothing alive remains in the area. Change climate to Totally Uninhabitable (poison that acts through contact, ingestion, and wounds and kills almost instantly. No save. you'd need a radiation suit to live here)
He stands again and looks over his work. Yes, yes. That will do nicely. His fingers are still missing.

Note that only the caverns are lethal. The land above is untouched.

"Advancement is good, striving to be stronger, better, to survive, always survive..." Nyakushuur murmurs to Eyero. "I sense darkness in you, and strength, but how can you be without the spark of life to feed you?"

you* had. Grr.

Eyero chuckles at the goddess' naivete. It is quite simple really. Those without life do not need to feed. For that reason, among others, survival really is a rather low goal to set; so much better when you don't have to worry about that problem at all.

Wow, try to change up your sleep schedule for your new job, and suddenly tons of posts.

I was also planning on making an actual race. Reproduction would happen through the necromancers that the race has.

Ideas from others are definitely welcome! In character though, Eyero would never go for that. His thing is having immortal servants whose wills he can dominate if he has to.

Goes to look up Shadow of the Colossus...

Power: 3d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 5, 4) + 9 = 21

Power: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3) = 9
The Corruptor looks over the void of the world, pondering. He awaits the first acts of creation from the others.
pass

Oop. Just so everyone knows, my phone won't let me see google docs. I should have access to a real computer at some point most days, but some days I won't. It's fine listing my turn at times, that fits Eyero's personality to go under radar now and then, but figured I'd let you know so you're all aware. Don't wait up for me when I can't make it.
@GM Would it be possible to state actions in advance incase I'm gone? ie "Raise armies at cities 1 and 2, Move army in mountains towards city 4"?

The Necromancer listens patiently to the Twins, then shrugs slightly. War is a tool to correct those servants who do not do as they are told, just as volcanoes and floods and whirlwinds. War is merely the tool I prefer.

Eyero laughs in return. But of course, Great Masked One. I don't have time to tell all of my servants what to do--That would defeat their purpose.
Turning to Almas, The undead are not abominations. Not any more than any other race of free-willed creatures. That they use the bodies of deceased beings does not mean anything other than that they recycle what nature has given them--Just as certain animals will take the discarded shells of other animals to use as their own. Why, the undead aren't even parasites! They do nothing to harm the creature they inhabit; so do not condemn them as unnatural or wicked. They just are.

My previous post was supposed to say daring* them. Dumb autocorrect.

The Lord of Undeath raises his good eye to look at the others. Only a fool would wish for mortal servants. Those that never feed, never sleep... Never die... Are so much more effective. He looks at each god in turn, saying them to contradict him.
