Ye will be able to get back to town with no problem. Selling any of the gear wont be an issue, for any of the goblin gear like the dogslicers or horsechoppers they'll even but them as there are some goblins in town.
Feel free to prepare new spells for the next day. Let me know if there any items ye wish to acquire any gear or ask around town about anything.

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

If it's heavy but not valuable stuff you could always put some of it down at the start or end of a level, it wouldn't take long to double back to pick it up. Worst case it gets stolen but if it's just a bedroll, blankets and trail rations thats not the end of the world.

Tik'Klik |

Sorry, I was sick from Thursday to Saturday, then had a RL game Saturday night, and just got able to post today.
Tik'Klik's hand whirs, and lock picks extend from his finger tips, but nobody notices so he just retracts the lock picks. Tik has Trapfinding and Lockpicking skills.
He silently falllows along, his body still damaged from the arrow stickign out of it.

Amadeen Irian |

Amadeen will spend some time making enquiries in town, seeing if there has been any news coming in from afar.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

Amadeen hear's about a recent unexpected return, Loskar Redcape, the half elven 'scavenger of the road' has return to town after an absence of several years. He's been seen in taverns recruiting thugs for his next big heist.
Not quite news from afar but a recent arrival that hasn't been seen in some time.

Tik'Klik |

"Tik'Klik."
Tik, while everyone is selling things, picks up a flask off the shelf that has a black label and sets it on the counter. Leaning forward, his mouth slit opens and gold coins begin to spew out until 20 of them are on the counter in a little pile. Then the golem's chest plate opens and the flask is whisked into it with a dull thunk.
Queue the shop keeper upset that he only got 20 coins instead of 25

Jorin Vinhorn |

Jorin beams as he adds some new weapons to his collection. He's also going to approach the innkeep about storing some of his gear while he's gone. He's willing to pay two copper a day for the equipment to be kept for him.

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

The dull thunk from Tik'klik's chest sounds odd and as the little construct looks down he can see the chest plate hasn't completely closed, the pinch of the crowbar is wedged in there and he's dragged towards the counter firmly. A deft hand pulls out the vial "Unholy Water is twenty five gold pieces, I'll hold onto these as a deposit til you get the other five."
A large half orc gets up and moves over picking Tik'Klik up without further comment from his boss and tosses the diminutive construct outside. A human woman in scale mail looks down at him before stepping over Tik'Klik.
I can have the NPCs do stuff without making rolls too. Not sure if he was trying to steel or just misunderstood the situation but no rolls were made so the NPCs are taking it as a cheeky attempt at conning them at best.

Tik'Klik |

"Tik'Klik!"
The small golem seems upset. "Tik tik ick klik ik ik tik tik klik ick tlick!"

Amadeen Irian |

Amadeen passes on word of Loskar Redcape to the others as she runs into them.
She is busy working up the courage to ask about someone else. Because the answer might be grim.
She enquires about whether Haleen has been seen in the area.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

There is no word of Haleen being seen in this area for about two years, there is a trapper who says he met her about five months back on the banks of the Skunk River in the Greenbelt.
I imagine Tik'klik will get the money and acquire the items. You may want to RP it but nobody else is biting and it's not exactly a big thing.
When ye return to the Emerald Spire do ye want to open that last set of double doors or go down the stairs?

Amadeen Irian |

Two years? It's not much to go on.
"Those double doors look enticing!

Amadeen Irian |

"Myself and Tik should go in the middle. Say with Barek and Darya in front and Jorin taking the rear?"

Tik'Klik |

That's disappointing. :( Always hate to miss RP opportunities. *sigh*
"Tik'Klik?"

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

At the top of the stairs is a locked door... thankfully you can see beams of light around the edges of the door, the are on the far side seems to be free from the cloying darkness found in the rest of the spire so far.
Jorin Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Barek Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Amadeen Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Tik'klik Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Darya Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Grulk Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Goblin Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Amadeen Irian |

Amadeen is busying herself looking for something...ethereal.
If I can smash and tangle strands of fates...perhaps I can instead unsnarl them? Give good luck instead of bad? Hmmm....

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

No more lighting issues
With Darya's help Tik'klik can get the door unlocked. Moving back into position Barek pushes the door open. This strange chamber pulses with the green glow of the column of glass-like crystal that forms the core of the tower. The walls of the room are damaged, and the roof is cracked. The spire in the center juts up, just peaking above the crude ceiling. A bed and a side table sit in the northern half of the room, and archery targets line the southern section of wall.
A combination of daylight and the green glow pours through the doorway into the staircase. As your eyes momentarily adjust you hear a gruff. "So you are the pink skins who've been causing my little friends so much trouble. The sun at it's back you can see two goblins silhouetted and behind them a larger figure, a little bigger than a human male.
The mysterious figure speaks out in
This muscular humanoid is a bugbear, the biggest and strongest of the common goblinoids. Bugbears speak Goblin and Common.
As well as being considerably stronger, healthier and more light footed than the average human, bugbears have an affinity for moving quietly despite their bulk. Combined with their natural darkvision, these qualities add up to a creature very well suited for raids on camp sites in the dead of night.
Bugbears tend to live in small tribal units, with the biggest and meanest of them the tribal leader by default. They tend to have but two goals in life: food and treasure, and a group of adventures would be considered a great source of both.

Amadeen Irian |

Enough thinking, time to act!
Amadeen looks the big guy in the eye and glares. Then starts cackling wildly.
Evil eye (-2 attack rolls) on Grulk (?). Will DC 15. Then cackle to top up the duration. And a 5' step to the side if Jorin needs a path forward.
If save fails, 7 round duration, which goes up to 8 with cackle.
If save succeeds, 1 round duration, which goes up to 2 with cackle.
Current hexes
Grulk:
Evil Eye (-2 attack rolls) for 2/8 rounds

Tik'Klik |

Can't expand the goblin spoiler?
"Tik'Klik?"
The golem looks at it's brown wooden arm, trying to figure out how it's pink skinned...

Tik'Klik |

Tik has the goblin language, that's why I clicked it

Tik'Klik |

Hmm, my profile and my character sheet don't match. Now i have to figure out which it was supposed to be, sylvan or goblin

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

Darya pushes forward and lunges at the closest goblin but the blow is deflected by it's crude, but effective, leather armour.
Amadeen will have to 5ft step and I'm being very generous on line of sight but can get off the hex on Grulk.
Grulk's Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Grulk is unable to resist Amadeen's Eldritch abilities.
Longbow Vs Darya: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 2 - 2 - 4 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 2 = 12
Grulk unleashes an arrow at Darya and laugh's "Your meat will keep us fed for days human!"
The two goblins move up seeking to keep the pressure on Darya and take her down in her weakened state but their exuberance doesn't come close to Grulk's skill.
Goblin 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Goblin 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Jorin Vinhorn |

Jorin runs forward to the doorway, passing Tik and Amadeen as quickly as possible. Seeing the goblins bunching near the door any idea of going for a throwing attack fades from his mind. Seeing Darya badly hurt he shouts.
"Pull back Darya, move past me to Amadeen."
Launching himself at the goblin he aims a kick to his chest
Kick: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Flicking open his fan and holding it outward he prepares for the goblins response.

Tik'Klik |

"Tik'Klik!"
The golem trundles up to the wall, and reaches around to touch Amadeen on the shoulder. Guidance

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

Why is Tik'klik inside the wall? Just going to reposition him so everyone can do their selected actions.
Barek's axe swing goes wide as Jorin catches one of the goblins in the midsection making the little runt cry out in pain. Tik'klik says "Tik'klik"...
Hey Tik'klik, how are you- how are you casting guidance?
Darya
Amadeen

Jorin-Delayed Action

Amadeen Irian |

Seeing the brutal melee up front, Amadeen wonders how long before she'll need to draw the wand again.
"Clear the way!"
But for now, she tugs at the strands of fate around Grulk. And laughs.
Misfortune on Grulk, will save dc 15. Cackle, 5ft step forward if possible.
Save passed, no effect. Save failed, 2 rounds of Misfortune with cackle.
Grulk: Evil Eye (-2 attack rolls) for 8 rounds, maybe Misfortune for 2 rounds.

Kevin O'Rourke 440 |

Darya steps thrusts her spear straight through a goblins head before collapsing onto the ground.
Amadeen tries to lay another hex on Grulk while cackling.
Grulk Will Save DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Grulk grunts in frustration as his arrow flies off on a bizarre course missing Barek. Taking a step back he draws another arrow from his quiver.
Grulk Ranged Attack Vs Barek 1: 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 8 - 2 + 2 = 12
Grulk Ranged Attack Vs Barek 2: 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 8 - 2 + 2 = 18
The goblin makes a half hearted attempt at attacking Barek but despite Darya collapsing is beginning to look nervous, but there's only a perilous jump or down the stairs covered with enemies to use as a means of escape.
Goblin Vs Barek: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Barek
Tik'klik
Jorin
Darya -1 Needs to roll to stabilize.
Amadeen
Grulk: Evil Eye (-2 attack rolls) for 3/9 rounds. Misfortune 1/2
Goblin

Amadeen Irian |

Seeing Darya drop, Amadeen steps up, a wand sliding into her hand. Her goal: get Darya back on her feet. And keeps cackling at intervals throughout.
5ft step south, swift action to draw CLW wand, standard action to heal Darya, move action to Cackle.
Healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 10 charges down to 9.
This is assuming Jorin has moved out of the square south of Amadeen by her turn. If not, I'll drop the Cackle to move 10ft.
Grulk: With Cackle, Evil Eye (-2 attack rolls) for 8 rounds, Misfortune for 2 rounds

Jorin Vinhorn |

Seeing his chance with the space opening up Jorin pulls out one of his nets. Muttering under his breath it seems like he is uttering an incantation.
Against touch AC
throw net: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Barely waiting for the net to finish falling he steps to the side of the goblin, clearing the way for Amadeen to move up.
5' step
