ok thanks. yeah i don't have my physical book here so i'm having to use my pdf... it just doesn't work quite as well for me.

Do you have room for an additional character? either an ranged fighter(bowman/men-at-arms) or a cleric?

I've got some ideas about family relationships and such for the characters. I'll throw some out there later today and you can see what you think, so that you can iron out your backgrounds a little better.

If I am one of the ones that was selected my idea is to play a bastard son of the minor noble lord who was sent away to be forgotten. Returning under the guise of a chronicler/minstrel. Kind of a Jon Snow feel.

Well I'm just dropping my two cents but if you want low magic game try playing E6 which is interesting and keeps your game low-magic.

This is a link for Kingdom Rules that might prove interesting at least for your consideration. I'm currently using this rules and they work pretty well for me, as mass combat well it all depends on how you handle it.
