Female Human (Varisian) Bard / 6

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Arianna will pull her rapier and hold until a scorpion comes close enough for her to swing at.

Attack roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Never mind the damage

Initiative 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Jawn will step back and ready his crossbow.

Licktoad GM

Scorpion Attacks:
Targets: 1d9 ⇒ 21d9 ⇒ 81d9 ⇒ 31d9 ⇒ 8
Attack: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (14) - 3 = 111d20 - 3 ⇒ (11) - 3 = 81d20 - 3 ⇒ (7) - 3 = 41d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14
Jawn - attack 11
Arianna - Attack 8

Damage: 1 damage + 1 con damage

Two of the scorpions begin fighting each other, and the other two attack the downed half-orc.

Grim’s turn, then Jawn, Arianna, Augrim.

Female Half-Orc Rogue 1

Grim, finding the situation rather amusing, decides to wait. She prepares her axe though in case any of the scorpions actually start coming after the party.

Ready attack on any scorpions passing through her threatened area.
Greataxe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Jawn simply steps back, his spell having done its work. He makes sure he's out of the way of the others.

Do we have more rooms that we need to clear out?

Licktoad GM

There are plenty of rooms you haven‘t searched, but the door that Grim was trying to lockpick is the Pauper's room.

As a player I know there are rooms left, but the character was outside for most of the upstairs action so I didn't want to act on knowledge he wouldn't have. :)

Licktoad GM

As if in answer to his question, the door directly behind Jawn (area 12) splinters as it is knocked from its hinges.

A man stands behind the broken door - behind him in the corner of the room, an elf with a bad attitude sends an arrow hurtling toward Jawn.

Break Door:
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Surprise Attack:
attack:1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 4 = 16
damage:1d8 ⇒ 3

Jawn:
If I‘m reading your sheet correctly, your AC is currently 14, so that’s a hit

Augrim ducks out of the room and makes to bull rush this new guy 'B' back a square.

Bullrush: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Edit: Wait, I mean he yells to Jawn to move aside and then charges the guy and sinks his axe into his...oh never mind.
Assuming that's good enough to move the guy back five feet, he follows and ends up in the B's current square, F10.

Yes, if he has me flatfooted it is a hit. AC is 14 with mage armor, 17 if he gets dex as well.

When did you cast Mage Armor?

Crud! You are right. I just went back through and I never posted it anywhere.

Hi, folks. I might be out of commission for a bit. Currently sitting in labour and delivery room while my wife sleeps, so can post for now, but will probably have my head ripped off if I try it a few hours from now.

Female Human (Varisian) Bard / 6

Congrats, Augrim.

Licktoad GM

Kudos, sir!

Congratulations! Best wishes for everyone's health!

Licktoad GM

Augrim successfully knocks Jawn's attacker back into the room.

Next up, Jawn, Grim, Arianna

Don't know when Augrim will be back, but I should at least let the rest of you act - sorry for the delay.

I've been back since the evening of the first. I didn't realize you were waiting for me. Sorry.

Licktoad GM

No, it was me - you had already acted; I just wasn't sure when you'd be able to post again - welcome back!

Jawn will step back to G9 and cast Mage Armor on himself.

Female Half-Orc Rogue 1

After Jawn has moved out of the way, Grim charges at B.

Greataxe, charge: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6
Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
AC is 15 for one round.

Sigh.

Her axe catches on the top of the door frame. The loss of momentum causes Grim to miss B by a wide margin.

Licktoad GM

Grim, what square did you intend to land in? I realize I never specified the square that B landed in: E-10. Did you intend to charge to F10?

Map update in the works.

I was going by the previously posted version of the map, so I was thinking G10 where Jawn previously stood. However, since B is farther back, she'll keep going to F10. Charges have to be in a straight line, so she has no other option.

Licktoad GM

Arianna's turn

Female Human (Varisian) Bard / 6

Arianna will exit the room and close the door behind her. "Let's let the scorpions have a little fun for awhile"

Licktoad GM

--- map ---

The elven bowman, forced into close-quarters fighting, draws a shortsword as he shifts to F11. He takes a tentative swing at Grim, but misses.

Attack:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

His dirty companion lunges at Grim with his dagger, missing. He snarls, revealing a mismatched arrangement of broken or missing teeth.

Attack:
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

GM stuff:
1d100 ⇒ 131d100 ⇒ 11

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 91d10 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 71d10 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 71d10 ⇒ 7

Augrim, I believe?

Oh my, this game went completely off my radar. Apologies all.

Augrim will step into the room and swing with his axe.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4; damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

We can see if any of the others are still around and still interested.
