Oscric doesn't recognize the figure to be any god that he knows. Perhaps it is another really old one?
Aasif can't find anything particularly interesting about this figure except that his eyes are inlaid with small orange jewels. These garnets would likely be easily removed from the figure and would hold quite a value to any merchant.
Slypher strikes his staff against the statue before anyone can stop him. But as loudly as he bangs and yells, the silence isn't broken. He dents his staff in a few places, but the stone statue stands loud defiance. Essentially nothing happens when you try to attack it.

You are able to grab the garnet gems as they easily prey off of the statue. They are not magical but fit nicely in your pocket!
You start to move out of the room, and as you exit you start to hear Slypher and Sorin gibbering almost incoherently. This hallway is about 20' long before it enters into the next room.
Sorin vos Naran

"Well, whatever that was, I am glad its stuck in that room. I bet the statue is the source of the silence. You know...that would be a nice place to take a nap. Wouldn't have to listen to your snoring." Sorin says to Slypher with a grin as they move into the next room.

As you enter the next room, you find a 50'x50' room. A large stone dais in this chamber supports a great sarcophagus. The lid, once carved in the image of a sleeping ancient warrior, is cracked into two pieces and lies askew.
The bodies of several dead adventurers lie crumpled on the floor.
Slypher Xen
|
"I don't like this at all. Let's make Aasif loot the bodies and then get out of here." Slypher says, scanning the area for threats.
Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
Aasif
|
Aasif nods: [/b]"The most helpful Aasif will of course be of assistance! Searching and finding the most glittering riches!"[/b]
He will look for traps, and if he's convinced that it is save, he'll approach the dead adventurers, though wearily incase that they are some undead monstrosities.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
Pai Song
|
Pai Song was standing right behind you all the time, secretly filled with terror because she could not speak and therefore not cast any spell, what is one of her worst nightmares. Her face shows great relief as all leave the zone of silence.
What is that? she exclaims as she sees the dead bodies. So much wasted potential! Perhaps they left useful things for us?
Sorin vos Naran
|
"Seriously, more undead? What is it with this place?" Sorin complains.
"Slypher, what do you think, block their way so they can't get to the rest of the party?" he asks, shifting his grip on his greatsword as he eyes the undead's approach.
Aasif
|
Aasif hastens forward and massages the ankles of Sorin, to give him a sure step and better aim with his weapon.
aid another: 1d20 ⇒ 11
"A most invigorating ankle-massage for you, my friend!"

Undead 1: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Undead 2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Aasif: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Osric: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Slypher: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Pai: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Sorin: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Jostrum: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Initiative Order: Sorin, Undead 1, Pai, Slypher, Aasif, Jostrum, Undead 2, Osric.
I have orders for Pai and Aasif, unless I hear differently I'll use those as actions on your turn.

I am assuming that they cannot get past us unless we break up the formation. If they can flank us, Sorin will charge forward and attack. If Slypher and Sorin can hold them back, then he will stand shoulder to shoulder with Slypher and block them. He will ready an attack for the moment an enemy steps into range. Sorry, I must be looking in the wrong place for the map.
Readied attack or charge, as appropriate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Osric knows that the smaller monsters are zombies while the larger one is a more advanced undead. They are called Wights. They come into being when a great warrior dies violently and his spirit is filled with a horrible necromantic version of magic.
Sorry lads for the shoddy character placement. They map was re-drawn and posted. FYI- the zombies don't animate until you get within 20'. Play on!

Sorin charges forward, his mighty swing missing the undead foes. The two zombies swing back at the warrior, with a slow furry.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 for Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
One of the Zombie's smashes Sorin with a large fist!
The other zombie moves forward to Slypher. Its lumbering form moves close, but he can't do more than that.
Pai lets a blast of energy out of her hand, but it hits only the ruined stones of the sarcophagus.
Initiative Order: Sorin, Undead 1, Pai, Slypher, Aasif, Jostrum, Undead 2, Osric.
Jostrum Finderwell

Moving closer, Jostrum draws his bow back and fires at the wight.
Attack, PBS: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5
Move fifteen feet to the left, avoiding AoO.
Slypher Xen
|
Slypher draws his dagger and takes a swing at the zombie before him.
Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Landing the hit, he steps lightly to one side to get a better angle.
5-foot step to back-to-back Sorin if I can.
