I should be in the bottom tower now, 4*4 is enough, isn´t it? Shoot someone with your crossbow OSric.
Pai Song will sneak up the stairs and cast charm on the shaman.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

![]() |

I think Osric needs to see a map to know his options....the choices are run to wake up Slypher, heal someone, or shoot someone with a crossbow. Feel free to jump in with your thoughts here, lads and lasses.
IMHO. Jostrum and Sorin sre doing a fair job picking off goblins from the tower. I think Slypher will need help

![]() |

Jostrum's shot clinks off the ramparts with a solid thud. Pai is able to enter the tower and can now see the Goblin warrior coming down the stairs and the Shaman 50' above her.
I know its hard without a map, I am working on that. Over the weekend I managed to erase the master files for the map! Crit fail on my part. Pai- its 10' to move into the tower and get to the bottom of the stairs. 10' from you is a sleeping Slypher; 40' from you is a goblin with a drawn sword; 50' from you is the Shaman. The Charm Person spell doesn't have range on the Shaman.
Osric- you are the top tower, next to the barred door. You can try to break it down (strength check) or move to the bottom tower. 40' to get to the door to the bottom tower if you wish.
Sham Percp: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Gob Perc: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Pai as you move into the tower, staying close to the wall and hiding in the shadows, the goblins above don't seem to notice you entering.

![]() |

Then i sneak forward and as soon as the warrior or the shaman come into range i cast charm on one of them. Or both if i have the time.

![]() |

Osric will move toward Slypher, hoping to shake the Magus awake. He will attempt to stay in cover to some degree as he does this. He will also use the agile feet bonus for this (first time today) gaining the ability to ignore difficult terrain.

![]() |

Are there still gobs on the top of the tower to shoot at? If so Sorin will take another shot.
Sorin winces as the arrow from the tower nicks his leg.
Well that won't be the first injury that I get on this trip! he thinks as he nocks another arrown and looses at the tower.

Pai continues to use the shadows of the tower to hide her advance they don't still don't see you. Oscric dashes across the snow to Slypher is and is able to wake him up. Besides yawning, he doesn't appear to be otherwise injured.
Sorin fires again at the lone Goblin in the top tower and misses.
Top Tower- Goblin on the ramparts. Other is dead.
Bottom Tower- Goblin on the ramparts. Other is in the stairs. Shaman is in the stairs. Those in the stairs can't be seen those outside the tower.
Stairs:
Slypher, Osric are at 0'
Pai 10' hidden
Goblin Warrior 40'
Shaman 50'
Pai Charm has a range of 25', FYI.
Alonzo, your turn.

![]() |

Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)。 So this means on level 2 it has 30 ft range? Sorry this is my first caster since 15 years or so, i´m not so familiar with spells etc.

Osric. Good question. I've been thinking the best way to do this and still don't know the answer. For now I am keeping track at home of wounds. During the next map update, I'll put health bars on everyone. Since the actual wounds are shown with the dice roller, I won't use the same mechanics that we use in our other PbP games.
Pai. Players new to Pathfinder and Roleplaying in general are always welcome at my table. I didn't see any of the comments about your spell as being picking on you. More like friendly advice to clarify a rule or give advice on potential actions. That being said, I won't tolerate picking on less experienced players at my table. If you feel like that is happening please let me know.
With that out of the way, lets move on and kill some Goblins!
Current HP totals by my count:
Jostrum 9/11, Pai 7/11, Sorin 12/14, Oscric 1/9, remainder at full

No offense taken, don´t worry! I´m playing PF already since beginning and D&D before, only never played a caster or PFS before^^. I think it´s real cool so far.

Alonzo, not risking ruining his gun, delays and keeps his eyes on the goblins.
The Goblin on the top tower draws his bow again, aimed at Sorin
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
But the arrow falls harmlessly into the snow.
In the bottom tower, the goblin in the ramparts fires his bow on Jostrum.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 Concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 25 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
This arrow finds the rangers arm, digging deep into the flesh and muscle.
The goblin warrior also in the bottom tower moves up unknowingly into Pai's threatening area!
Pai steps up and whispers arcane words at the goblin.
Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4.
The goblin stops his attack and just stares at the gnome, blinking.
The fire at the top of the bottom tower starts to build energy. Flames are whipping to the sky and smoke starts to raise high into the clouds.
Slypher's Turn.

![]() |

Why does it seem that amatures always seem to start fires...Slypher seemed like he had a good handle on things, now I am not too certain. Sorin thinks as he watches the goblin's arrow get caught by the wind and land nearly 10' away.
"Pretty poor shot there gobbo, let me see if I can do better.", he mutters, loosing an arrow back toward the tower.

Pai wonders herself where the fire came from, searching for a way to extinguish it quickly before it spreads further...nonetheless she asks the goblin to protect her and keep the evil shaman from harming her and what his name is and that of the shaman and why they are here and attacking them.
Slypher don´t harm this Goblin, he is under my controll!

![]() |

No the one down here by me, but it would be good to take the other alive!
Seriously, where did that fire come from? There was a goblin lighting a torch, but we didn´t hear of it again, did we?

![]() |

I'm pretty sure the goblin shaman lit the torch, and the goblin shaman used burning hands at me, and the goblin shaman is doing just fine. That's why I'm headed up top--to take care of... yes you guessed it, the goblin shaman. :D
And I don't think it's a "torch" like a wooden stick with an oil rag, but rather, a signal beacon torch.

![]() |

Slypher is able to doge most of the flame erupting from the Shamans fingers, the heat still deals some damage to the Magus.
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1, take half.
Sorins arrow is true and finds the goblin peaking his head between the ramparts. The arrow digs deep, but doesn't kill the menace.
Oscric reaches out casts holy light on Jostrum, healing him of all of his wounds.
Jostrum, Pai, Alonzo can go.
Spellcraft check to see what the fire is from the Shaman.
It is a signal fire on top of the tower. You still have "some" time before its smoke can be seen very far. Who they are signaling too is another question.
Correction- Osric has only taken 1 point of damage after healing himself.

![]() |

Sorry Jostrum, missed that action.
Concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 80
Jostrum's arrow sings through the air and finds the head of the goblin on the south tower. Its lifeless form slumps against the ramparts.
Pai and one of charmed goblin run down to the bottom of the southern tower and collect a few soiled and stained blankets. While not in great shape, they will likely put out the fire.

![]() |

Seeing no further missiles coming from the towers, Sorin moves back towards the goblins.
"Shut up you lot. The first one of you to step out of line doesn't get fed!"
Intimidate 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

![]() |

Waiting on Alonzo's turn- who will delay keeping the goblins under control.
Slypher, she is on top of the steps. If you want to bull rush her off the tower, you'll need to move her 15' (steps=5' move, then 10' off the tower)
Oscric and Sorin- those are fine actions, just out of turn. You may use those rolls for your next action when it comes if you like.
Only one enemy goblin remains an active threat, one on the top tower. He fires at Sorin again.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
But the arrow again, falters in the wind and doesn't find its mark.
The goblin in the bottom tower remains charmed by Pai (you may continue to control him, this goblin as the red dot by him).
Slypher's turn.

![]() |

very well then. seems impractical. let's try this.
Slypher advances towards the shaman and attempts to take her feet out from under her.
Trip: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
provokes, assuming the shaman threatens in some way

![]() |

As Sorin walks back towards the goblins, the arrow from the final goblin archer arcs over him and plunks a few feet away. Sorin turns back, drawing an arrow, just in time to see Jostrum's arrow zing at the tower.
I can't see the gobbo, but that was well shot...I think he took him.

![]() |

As Slypher closes with the Shaman he realizes that she isn't armed with anything but a crossbow (which isn't loaded). She stabs at Slypher with the bow but he slings it away with a slap. The Shaman falls to the ground, now prone.
On her turn she reaches into her jacket and throws a bottle to the bottom of the tower. As the bottle hits, it explodes in a ball of flame!
But the goblin's aim is off and nobody is harmed from the Alchemical Fire. The attack does provoke from Slypher (if he is armed).
Pai is able to get to the top of the stairs but her way is blocked by the Goblin Shaman (she still threatens in her position). Pai still a standard or move action left. Your charmed goblin follows you.
Jostrum's arrow finds the last goblin on the top tower. Its limp form slumps against the ramparts, dead.
No problem Alonzo, I hope that all is well!
South Tower: you guys are on a stair, 5' wide, 50' long. 50' is the highest, 0' the lowest.
Shaman 50', Slypher 45', Lore 40', Goblin (charmed) 35', Osric 0'.
The signal fire is still burning, and is gaining momentum. Though for game purposes it is not fully "lit."
Initiative Order: NPC1 (one charmed left, plust your Goblin charges), Slypher, NPC2, Jostrum, Pai, Sorin, Osric, Alonzo
Sorin, Osric and Alonzo go.

As the fallen goblin shaman throws the flask, Slypher seizes the opportunity to strike.
