"Osric, throw some food to our little green friends here, just to shut them up. Not a full meal, we can worry about that later." Slypher begins, turning to Pai, "Pai, you look like the sneaky sort. See if you can get up to the towers and get some more information. It's possible they were used recently but since abandoned. If you can, just peek inside and see if there's any sign of life. And try not to get noticed."
He turns back to Sorin. "You can handle a bow I assume, since you carry one. Go with Jostrum and follow Pai at a distance. Take up a strategic position where you can offer her cover if something violent bursts out of that tower. I'll stay here with Osric and Alonzo to make sure our charge doesn't go getting into any trouble."

Uh ok, let´s see what i can do about that.
Getting off the skis, Pai tries to get some cover, then slowly and sneakily advances towards the right tower.

Jostrum go to stand behind the rock Pai just left, keeping a wary eye out for trouble. Every so often glancing over his shoulder to check on the goblins.

The only sound that is made while Pai moves forward is the howling of the wind as it whips through the mountain pass. Suddenly, all hell breaks loose. Jostrum can see 5 goblin heads pop up from the towers letting loos a hail of arrows (from short bows) at Pai.

Three of the arrows sail well wide of the crouching Gnome and the one bolt smacks into the rock beside her. However one arrow sails true and sinks into her arm.

NPC1's Turn, the Goblins
The Goblins on top of the towers notch their bows again and fire, this time splitting between Pai and Jostrum.
@Pai from the "top tower" Goblin 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Goblin 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
@Jostrum from the "bottom tower" Goblin 3: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Goblin 4: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
But all the shots miss their mark.
Seeing the fighting begin, the Goblin prisoners start to hoot and hollar, eager to get into the fry. Speaking in common - "We kills those bad gobbos. We kill before they chop you up and eats you for snack!" They start to move as a group closer to the tower.

"Pai, get out of there! Jostrum! Sorin! Return fire!" Slypher shouts as he runs towards Pai. "Alonzo, you're with me!"
"Osric, tend to Pai and watch those goblins! Pai, stay with Osric."
I'm assuming the towers have doors... otherwise, I'm not going to run at them. If they do, that's 90ft of movement for my turn and done.
Also, how many goblins are on each tower top?
DrGabe

Slypher makes great hast to the (Top) tower and quickly notices that there is a door present, but not what he expected. The door doesn't match the stone towers, instead it looks of hastily made goblin wares. He is, however, safe from the arrows above for the time being.
Meanwhile, on top of the (bottom) tower, the crossbow wielding goblin dressed in audacious headgear (one might classify her has a shaman) moves to light a torch. Only her shadowy figure can be seen, doing something on top of the tower.
The top tower has two goblins, the bottom tower also has two goblins and one shaman. That you can see!
Due to the limitations of playing on a message board and not face to face: The rest of the party may go as you please. I don't have a problem with conditional orders and I will generally place you in the most friendly position possible. The exact order that you go in doesn't matter since all by Slypher go before the NPC's next turn.

Do I get partial concealment behind the rock ?
Sorin vos Naran

Sorin grimaces as he watches the wind whip the gobbo's arrows off target.
This isn't going to be easy. That wind is vicious! he thinks as the arrows fall around Jostrum.
Sorin moves closer attempting to get within 60' of the tower before he takes aim and looses his arrow at the top of the tower.

With a Thunderous noise that startles even the experienced adventurer Alonzos pistol spits forth a gout of flame.

Alonzo, while I admire the effort, your attack is going to be at like -10 for range increments with a pistol. You're not going to hit anything. Might as well stay where you are and focus on keeping the goblins in line.
Jostrum Finderwell

That Goblin, the Shaman will get 50% concealment. You may keep that target or change to another if you wish. Yes, you have 20% concealement behind that rock.
I guess go ahead and switch to another goblin

Sorin moves a bit closer and unloosens an arrow that narrowly hits one of the Goblins. Fortunately for Sorin it strikes the beast right in the throat and drops off of the tower and lands in the snow with a solid thump.
Pai dashes to the tower just in time to dart out of the way of the falling goblin.
Meanwhile in the "bottom" tower, Jostrum unleashes an arrow at a Goblin, striking him in the chest. You can see the very wounded Goblin drop out of sight, but clearly not dead.
Alonzo, sorry about missing you in the Initiative order! You are at the top!! However, from where you are, you are 3 range increments away from the closest Goblin, its a -6 modifier to your attack. Do you still wish to do this?
Alonzo Silver tongue

ninja'ed by GM lol yes I will still fire for the reasons below. if I hit I hit. diversionary is all the attack was ment to do.
Wasnt ment to hit lol its more of for the noise that a pistol would make. also while they dont know it cant hit them it can still make them want to duck allowing some ppl to get closer quicker
DrGabe

Alonzo's shot with the pistol is off the mark. Makes a loud noise and the bullet slams into the tower harmlessly. However, the noise seems to only encourage your Goblin captives more, causing them to squeal with delight.

Alonzo's words seem to resonate with the Goblins. Using food as a motivator they seem content to watch the battle from here. Though their eyes are starting to fill with bloodlust, they are wanting to enter the fray!
The remaining goblins (one on each tower) notch their bows and launch toward Osric.
Goblin1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

How far is it to the tower top? Can i reach someone with my spells? 30 feet?

Sorin grins as his first arrow goes home.
Judged that one right! The wind carried it right in to the runt's chest!

With the ease of long practice, Sorin removes another arrow from the quiver, nocks it and when the wind is right, looses it against the second goblin in the tower.
The arrow passes straight through a space in the battlements, but the goblin, seeing Sorin draw, ducked away and the arrow passed over the tower, harmlessly.

Slypher turns and runs as fast as he can towards the southern tower, not even stopping to open the door. His strength and momentum smash the door into a thousand pieces and he enters into the bottom of the tower.
Inside there is a set of stairs that spiral 50 feet to the top of the tower. Inside he sees a wounded goblin armed with a sword descending the stairs. At the top, he can now see the Shaman who appears to be casting a spell.
Jostrum's arrow strikes another in the arm, with a yelp the Goblins yells but stays on his feet.
Pai finds that the door to the northern tower is barred from the inside, no lock is noticed.
Osric is able to dash to the saftey of the Northern tower. Sorin's arrow falls well short of the mark.
Osric, you still have a standard action left. You may cast a heal spell if you wish. Pai, since Slypher went to the southern/bottom tower you can still try to open the top/northern tower door if you wish. The tops of the tower are 50' high.
Pai. Oscric, can finish their turns. Alonzo, go.

I would like to charm that goblin shaman or antoher goblin for interogation. So i go after Slypher and yell:
Don´t kill or attack him!
DrGabe

Slypher goes stiff and then falls to the ground motionless. Pai can't make out the spell (since she can't see the Shaman) however, the snorring coming from Slypher gives her some great clues.
The remaining goblins on the turrent (one on each) fire.
Goblin attacking Sorin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Goblin attacking Jostrum: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 Concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 95Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Each goblin finds their target, causing more blood to flow.
The prisoners plead with Alonzo to enter into the fight. The point out that you are not doing so well and that a few more warriors (like them) would turn the tide. But they stay put, for now.
Jostrum, you can't see the Shaman as she has left the turett and descended down the stairs. A map will be showing up tomorrow. It is the PC's turn (except Slypher).
