Paul Antairis |

Hey guys -
So I think I have to take a little break from things for a bit; hopefully I won't be gone too long.
Ayreth; I'm still eager to RP with you and Paul for the night, but I'm not sure when that will be.
However, given that the GM is going to be out for the evening in any case, I'm hoping that a small delay is not going to be a problem for you (or anyone else). Still, if you'd like to get the ball rolling on the Social RP thread, when I'm able to I'll have a response to you.
And guys, I hope you have a good night and enjoy things and I hope I'm able to rejoin things soon.

Please remember that the GMs have asked us to keep as much 'ooc' stuff over here as is reasonable, as opposed to the gameplay thread.
I may throw a little something on the alt thread, though I don't want to steer too hard and derail what you are trying to do.

GM Right Hand of Doom |

Sorry for my lack of posting today (hurt my neck and back and couldn't sit at my desk for any length of time).
Paul, if you can't get your post up by tomorrow, don't worry, you may retcon it on the alt thread. This includes anything you may have undertaken with Ayreth. Again, if the evening tasks were numerous, please just jot them down in point form and we can go through them that way -- saves time for all. Thanks. :) (And yes, any discussion points can be posted here. Let's keep the alt thread just for in-game stuff (secondary rp and side quests).)
I'll be back on the boards tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.
Addendum: Noted that with Gii's healing channel and Bart's spell on Alar, everyone in party is back to full HP before they retire for the night.

![]() |

That sucks. Hope you feel better soon.

GM Right Hand of Doom |

@A: Thanks, kindly. The pain killers are helping, so I can sit and type today (until I get drowsy from them haha).
To all: In the future, would you rather the GMs roll your saves for you to expedite the process or would you be happier rolling your own when we ask? I have heard that people like to make their own save rolls and that's fine. We just want to make the process better for everyone. Thanks. :)

![]() |

No preference here.

Doctor Gii |

As you have seen from my own rolls, I am very much okay with you rolling my saves in the future. >_<
-e-
Also, what time would dawn be? Because Gii would have woken with the sun rising and started his morning prayer and obedience.

Blue Heron |

I'm okay with you rolling. In combat I like rolling myself, but out of combat, whatever streams things is usually better.

Sometimes it's hard not to look at spoilers. Argh!
/stares longingly

Bartholomew Grayson |

Thank you for rolling for me. I apologize, I was at work. It seems every other week I'm going to be getting forty hours and I honestly can't complain because its good money. I shall be posting shortly!

Paul Antairis |

Ayreth - there's a post on the Social Thread for actions during the night that needs your attention -
GM - I noticed you just tagged in for post 666 on the Discussion Thread; spooky... ;)
Also, per our discussion earlier I added a second “Theme Song” for my character with a video that may help explain his personality a bit better than the other did (the video works a bit better than the actual song; so it helps to watch it instead of just the music). It should be on his sheet, I hope you enjoy it.

Paul Antairis |

@Paul: Ah yes, 666. Indeed. ;) btw, I put up something for you on the alt thread. Thanks. I will go and have a listen to the second theme song.
Edit: Nice. Haha. Very Paul. ;)
Glad you liked the video :)
Meantime, I didn't see a dot by Ayreth on the thread - is she linked to it formally? If so - I'll wait for her response before I take my next action.
By the way - via the second thread, how did my Diplomacy Check work out ;)

Bartholomew Grayson |

And posted! Spoiled a good bit of my post for DM's eyes. Anyone else is free to read, but I wrote what everyone else would know out in character out in the open.

Good times, Bart - looks like the Dice gods are backing us both today...
Meanwhile, am I the only person in this group that lives in The States? It's like 4:30 AM here and yet I see more action now then any other time of day :)
Oh well - I think I need to crash. I'll check more in the morning, though :)

To all: Once Paul is back on the board and reads the alt board, we can then finalise the retcon from the previous night and he and Ayreth can disclose anything they have discovered with the group during breakfast. Thanks for your patience.
*********************************************************************
Also, we understand players will go at different paces in games. We do not mind the occasional side quest to gain information to aid the group (if it fits into the overall story). However, it is not going to be a regular on-going exercise because the main story needs to run and be played out and it makes little sense to have little groups here and there working on separate projects for the majority of the time. (Plus, it's even more work for the GMs to run the main thread as well as secondary quests.) I don't want the group left idle while a few people undertake tasks.
You are an adventuring party and need to find a way to work TOGETHER as you have a number of mysteries in play in Dustpawn.
Use rp to discuss things. You also have access to the discussion board to toss up ideas and plans and see how the whole group feels about them. We/the GMs would rather you didn't split the party and to work on the mysteries together. If any one of you do not like the direction tasks/activities are taking, then please speak up (in and out of game). We want to see everyone enjoy the game and be able to move forward together.
Thanks, kindly.

Paul Antairis |

Paul and Linndell, are you going to proceed with going to Sahriah Fastleaf's home?
Yes indeed. Sorry, I had a long day at work and I wasn't feeling good and had to sleep when I got home.
I'll have something up soon.
GM - Question: Right now the only one in my party that followed Paul to help the girl was Linndall - I'm assuming that the others could come and help as well, given that the house is only 300 feet away but I don't know if they're able to; but I assume they can.
I don't want to assume, can they come and help, too?

Paul Antairis |

The others may join you and Linndell as you make your way to Sahriah's house.
Perhaps one of you could invite the others along and tell the group why you are going to find the Halfling ...
In other words, rp it out, please.
GM - I already did that with the doc (Gii).
Gii knows the entire story; including Paul's concerns and worries for the girl.
Also, his companions know completely that he's worried and concerned, this is why Linndell followed Paul to begin with.
I don't know what else to do at this time that Paul hasn't already done but I'm open to any suggestions.

Paul Antairis |

GM - I will wait until my companions post on both boards.
At this time I'm hoping that Ayreth may talk Paul out of hasty action; in-game Paul would do what he would do - but out of game I'm not looking to cause complications - if she talks him out of it, he'll do what she asks.
For now Paul is ready to speak to the Halfling, but I will wait for the others to act.
Have a good night all, and I hope to see you soon.

Funny, I posted my response before seeing this. But yeah, you realize Ayreth thinks Paul is a psychopath now, right?

It's alright, Paul has his own opinions about Ayreth, too; but for some reason he feels compelled to listen her "request", so for now I'm hoping that he doesn't come off as too much of a basterd ;)
Meantime, it's close to 5:00 AM here, so for now I'm going to crash out. Have a good night!

GM Right Hand of Doom |

Okay, it looks like the party back at the inn, around the breakfast table, have decided that checking out Nesher Mine is the way to go. In that vein, is there anything you guys need to purchase? Anything to prep? Paul and Linndell are currently at Sahriah Fastleaf's home ... You could join them there if you'd like ... and there are other stores in town ...

Bartholomew Grayson |

Bart is almost broke thanks to his Mithral chain shirt and Alar's belt! I might be for picking up Paul and Linndell first rather then waiting for them to come back though. What do you guys think?

![]() |

I don't think Paul indicated where he was going.
Edit: Oops, thanks for the correction. =)

GM Right Hand of Doom |

Paul did say (via a private word to Gii) that he wanted to make sure the halfing gal wasn't like Leeara and close to turning and perhaps attacking someone in the streets on her way home.
Dalviss is still at the table with you. Paul asked him for directions to the Halfing's house. So, Gii has some knowledge of Paul's intentions and you guys can ask Dalviss if he knows more. ;)
