Doom Comes to Dustpawn

Dalviss Crenn, ex-adventurer and proprietor of the Mineshaft Inn of Dustpawn (in eastern Isger, near the Drumish border) has sent an invitation to each of you, asking for aid. A meteor recently crashed somewhere in the hills, several miles to the south of Dustpawn, but Dalviss believes it to be a ship from the far reaches of space. The townsfolk scoff at his theory, and to save himself further ridicule, and get to the truth of the matter, Dalviss has turned to you to find the crash site.
Ok, I think we're just waiting on an action from Blue and we're all set for round 4.

Hi folks. The rate of posting during this mine encounter is not working. If we continue this way (at this one round (at best) per day) we aren't ever going to get out of the mine. Combat is obviously one of the things that bogs down games, whether IRL or PbP...with that in mind, we need to step up our game. If we all do that, It'll make the game more fun for everyone.
Once again: if people know they will be busy or are going to be away from the board please put up a note in discussion so we're aware and can Bot your character.

Gii, you can't from your current position. Alar can barely see her around the corner. When you can move to B:4, you might be able to see her then.
btw guys, she looks fairly wounded to Alar (who passes that along to Bart via their link) (who then can share that with the group), so she might not come out from around the corner.

It's kind of a clusterf+*! trying to get into that hallway.
I'll wait to see what some of the other folks do before I decide on an action, but it'll probably be trying to get to her and try diplomacy, or help out someone else do so.

Hey all! Sorry for the delay, weekends are usually good for me but today is a hit or miss. I'll definitely be able to get a post up sometime before evening, but don't let me hold things up. Bart will freely share what Alar tells him with the rest of the group, and if you need to bot him to get things going, he and Alar will both refrain from any violent responses.

It seems to me like she's just trying to keep us the hell away from her. In which case just leaving her be might not be an awful plan. It could, however, come back to bite us in the ass.

I don't think she'd demurely let us try and use them on her. I don't have a problem trying it, but it's likely going to be a little more difficult than pulling one out and reading it at her. There's also the chance that she isn't like Leeara at all, and we'd just end up wasting the scroll.

It's a possibility. A cult that worships dark and creepy things arrives when a ship lands? But if she's from the ship and she was cursed, it's also possible that not all of the ships inhabitants were evil. We don't even know what kind of ship it is... soooo many questions!

You all know (well perhaps Linndell doesn't in game -- not definitively, yet) how Leeara was cursed/poisoned and altered and by whom. (btw, You could bring him up to speed at some point in downtime rp or as you're travelling.)
You have the elf-bat-woman who exhibits similar, yet more pronounced alterations/afflictions to Leeara, and who lives in the mines worked by the so-called prospectors.
You have the townsfolk who are acting peculiarly -- with ticks that don't entirely make sense. Some people from town have disappeared since the crash.
You have Blue and Gii who aren't acting as usual/feeling well since last night (in game).
You have an apparent cultist group staying in town and apparently working the only viable mines in Dustpawn.
What is the common denominator? Is it just all coincidence or is there a definitive explanation? How could a town succumb to such a malady, if it is one? How could it be perpetrated, if indeed there is something ominous going on?
Just some points and questions to help you with the problem-solving. :)

Just a quick question. Did Paul have that magic shortsword? If that is party loot, could i use it? It is better than my sword, if it is the one i am thinking of that is.

@Linndell: Yes, Paul has the +2 sword. Once Paul officially exits the game, Linn may have the sword. Or did you want the sword now because I'd have to play that out? Let me know, please.

My vote is follow if that wasn't clear. The orb/cultists are the priority over the mine with the information that we have.

Bart is following. At this point it's clear, at least to him and Alar, that she's a victim, and if she has some idea of whats going on we might be able to help her/protect her.
