Tera Flinders
Just a heads up, I won't be posting Friday or Saturday. My younger cousin is graduating from college. :)
Zache Kovachi
I'm sorry for my absence. A few things have come up that have made it difficult for me to maintain focus and get into character. My ex-boyfriend has continued harassing me, including sending a string of rather explicit messages on Sunday (which was Mother's Day, into the bargain!), and it's escalated to the point where I'm about to involve the police.
On a lighter note, I've also been getting ready for my first solo overseas trip, which brings its own set of stresses. I'm trying to get my head back in the game, but right now, I'm scattered and not feeling particularly safe, so I'd appreciate your patience.

Very full day here. I may not be able to post. Apologies, please bot me if needed.
Zache, so sorry to hear that.
Zache Kovachi
I might end up just sitting this scene out. Or I'll be back to posting in a couple of days. Who knows.
DM Nate
Sorry, I though I made that post last night... i suspect it's typed up and unsent on my home PC...
Tera Flinders
No worries. I'm just trying to keep in the habit of posting.
DM Nate
I would like to post 1/day but I've been trying to wait for more than 1-2 people to post between my posts so nobody gets left behind (plus once in a while a type posts than forget to hit send).
Kaelaah
Apologies for slow couple of days posting - I've been travelling with work and have had little to no internet (and then just too tired when I have gotn home to do more than read!!! Normal service shall be resumed today... the only travelling shall be to go and grab mucho coffee ;)
Roakkad Shrikkir-tsha
My parents' home burned down today :(. You may not hear from me for a few days as we sort things out. Thanks for your patience!
Kaede Mayumi
I wish you and them the best of luck recovering from this. Losing a source of memories like that has to be heartbreaking. Do they know that caused the fire?
Tera Flinders
Same here.
Tera Flinders
I can't tell you why, but for whatever reason, Tera needed to punch him and beat him down with words, nice big words that she breaks out to make people feel dumb.
I couldn't picture it any other way, and I'm not sure how this is going to resolve. I'd pictured Tera coming up right after he turned back to Ameiko, but Sal and Kaede beat me to it while I was typing. I'm okay with retconning Tera's actions, but honestly, the girl's patience has run out and given her view on tyrants, I can't imagine her sitting this out.
Sorry Kaede, didn't mean to steal your thunder. :)
Salomae Amsel
Hopefully this does not come across as Sal trying to steal thunder either, but I do think it's showing a lot of character insight for each of the three ladies here. Sal does tend to feel that family disputes aren't her business but she didn't appreciate her and her friends being slurred for no reason and with little to no provocation.
Tera Flinders
Now I have this image of Sal, Kaede, and Tera all looming over Lonjiku as he realizes just how much trouble he's in.
Kaelaah
My parents' home burned down today :(. You may not hear from me for a few days as we sort things out. Thanks for your patience!
How terrible - I hope that they have friends and family who can rally around them at such an awful time... take all the time you need, we'll see you when we see you...
Tera Flinders
You know, given what I normally play, Lonjiku should be thankful that it was Tera that punched him. It probably hurt her worse than it did him, considering his hard head.
Tera Flinders
No worries. Take all the time you need.
Kaede Mayumi
Okay, I'm having a heck of a time trying to post here, because I know enough about the setting to know that you've changed it alot. I don't want to post, only to find out that the things I think are facts and common knowledge are wrong, thus nullifying most of what I said.
Kaelaah
Same here, happy to wait until we get some inkling as to how the situation with Tera will progress before taking further actions...
FYI, I will be on holiday with my two boys (and swathes of extended family) from tomorrow through until Saturday... By all accounts there is no wi-fi where we are staying and therefore I am unlikely to be posting until the weekend... Please feel free to GMPC Kaelaah where appropriate.
Rojava Brishen
I fully support your no apologies stand Tera! If I had a TARDIS I'd drop by and bust you out of the joint. Thelma and Louise Live!
Salomae Amsel
Was Roakkad's question about being homesick directed at Sal? I'm pretty sure yes, but I wanted to double-check before I work on a post hehe. Speaking of posts, I'm heading to work in a few minutes so I probably won't have a chance to write a proper post until later tonight or possibly tomorrow morning.
Rojava Brishen
@Salome: It's uncanny. You're from Nybor, so am I mostly. You have a twin who is unmarked, so do I (although when we needed a replacement she was retconned and joined the party).
What is your opinion of mushrooms as a food?
Salomae Amsel
Hmmm...I think Sal would appreciate the 'earthy' flavor of mushrooms. Her player, however, faithfully picks them off of every pizza ever ;)
Re: twins - Hey, in Sal's first (or was it second?) incarnation for a Mummy's Mask game her sister was dead due to ghoulification and the guilt and trauma left Sal with a thirst for vengeance against the undead as well as something of an unconscious death wish. I generally don't make characters who are damaged right out of the gate but every so often I'll get the idea/urge...
Rojava Brishen
Rojava thinks mushrooms are AMAZING.
Rojava's always had an identical twin. First time around the two were created by a friend of mine and me to play the Hollow's Last Hope/Kobald King series set in Andoran. Ro was a Milani worshipping Wobbly-type folk singer with a big mouth who wanted to organize lumber workers against the Consortium. Her sister Francesca was a fighter who tried to keep Ro out of trouble. That only lasted for a couple of weeks though. They were likely going to wind up face down in a river anyway...
I brought her back solo with the sister as a background character for this, but when we needed a replacement my friend came on board as Fran, who had kept her mark (Sarenrae) more secret and, lacking Ro's behavior problems, had not been shipped off to the cathedral.
Yeah, it was the best we could do to explain her sudden appearance and two siblings marked by different deities :-/
Gotta keep the old dream alive though. Eventually Rojava will run for Mayor of Sandpoint (and win dammit!). THAT will mark the end of aristocratic privilege in Sandpoint. Even if that has to happen in an epilogue. Or she'll wind up face down in a different river. :p

I have returned from warm and distant shores,
And shall be working back into the game!
Tera Flinders
Woot! Ronnie's back!
How was your trip?
Zache Kovachi
The slopes of Colorado saw me well:
I rafted on the Gunnison, saw deer,
Bought tacky souvenirs for family,
And can't wait to return another time!
Photos incoming, once I've settled in.
Tera Flinders
And I'm just going to assume that everyone shows up at Tera's door.
Also, glad to hear you had fun on your trip, Ronnie. :D

hey all- i'm having surgery tomorrow. its a minimally invasive procedure to fix some problems with my septum and sinuses. the upside is that i'll have a lot more down time over the next week or so (so i'll likely be posting a bit more); the downside is that I'll be super high on prescription painkillers, so i apologize in advance if any of my posts are nonsense.
