Alexand, though very tired (exhausted you might say), shrugs and seems to be apathetic on the matter.


You press on and visit down the other tunnel were the skeleton came from. Here there are more tombs and also another one of the glowing spheres. But watching over it is a stone soldier. The stone statue draws it's weapon as you arrive and moves to place itself between you and the glowing sphere.

How Many Spells does he get off before the golem engages? If it stands there until we attack, Hrungnir will engage after he has finished buffing


It doesn't engage until you approach or attack it first

You search the room and find a tomb with a greataxe on it. It radiates magic and the inscription on the handle reads "trollbane"

You return to the room were you fought the skeleton ambush and go the only way forward and find a large stone door held shut by a powerful magical ward. There are two slots in the door that seem to match the size of the orb you saw previously.

You put two and two together and go gather the two orbs and put them in the slots in the door and the doors open.

Revealing one final chamber.

A large room with manners banners and statues. In the centre a sarcophagus. A beam of light is coming down from above. You look up and can see the sky it seems the ceiling of this chamber partially collapsed. You notice a rope that still hangs down from above.

A knight sits on the sarcophagus wearing matching the description of the one who murdered the adventurers in town. He is looking at a broken blade with a sad expression.

"More graverobbers? Does nobody respect the dead anymore?" he says as you enter.

He is a variant of a sword wight as such he channels negative energy into his blade dealing energy drain on a hit. 1 level per hit dc 18 save.

energy drain:

his attack saps a living opponent’s vital energy and happens automatically when a melee or ranged attack hits. Each successful energy drain bestows one or more negative levels (the creature’s description specifies how many). If an attack that includes an energy drain scores a critical hit, it bestows twice the listed number of negative levels. Unless otherwise specified in the creature’s description, a draining creature gains 5 temporary hit points for each negative level it bestows on an opponent. These temporary hit points last for a maximum of 1 hour. Negative levels remain until 24 hours have passed or until they are removed with a spell such as restoration. If a negative level is not removed before 24 hours have passed, the affected creature must attempt a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 the draining creature’s racial HD + the draining creature’s Cha modifier; the exact DC is given in the creature’s descriptive text).
