Retconned Uran's attack. Also adjusted damage numbers. Let's say Rakdon is yanked away from the grapple.

Sarainy's arrows barely pierce the piecemeal automaton, shredding bits of errant metal from its frame.

Rakdon fires glowy (blue?) missiles of arcane energy at the gray blob. It seems mostly unaffected by the attacks and continues to lurch towards the suspended elf.

Uran's blade hits the (red) scrapbot but does nothing against its tough shell.

The scrapbots again swing their deadly rotary saws at Thera and Uran. Thera is cut in the stomach by the dirty, rusted metal, but Uran dodges with his gnomish sprightly movements. The slime moves underneath Rakdon and lashes out with a shiny metallic tendril. It holds onto his leg, preventing him from escaping the trash hole.

Okay so I think I figured out what I can do with the rope. In theory all I can do is give Rakdon a +2 from aiding other to escape the grapple, or I kill the ooze. I think I'll take option #2

"Things too strong Rakdon! I'm coming down! Well, you know what they say about monkeys right?"

Releasing Rakdon and drawing her shield in one smooth motion, Linpul thumps her chest with the free hand for her chitinous exoskeleton. As the exoskeleton disappears so does Linpul... down the hole. As she falls, she curls into a defensive position so when she landed she could roll with the shield to her front.

So... because I fell, I am now prone. My AC surprisingly goes up, except for touch which drops to 11. AC is now 21/11 T/19 FF. To the ooze all of these go up by +2 to 23/13/21. Also damage can go up if anybody casts any buffs as I'm relatively low in the initiative count.

Seeing that perhaps the situation is more dire than first anticipated, attempts to inspire her comrades with the divine wisdom of Sarenrae.

Her melodic notes quickly form and wind around in the air, the words themselves trailing off as solid symbols of celestial script.

I'm really before Lipul, but I cast Bulls Str on her You now have +4 to your strength score, so that last hit you just did is now 24 to hit and 7 dmg hit. Then maybe Sarainy's bonuses if they apply. Since it seems to ignore magic missile, and almost nothing is resistant to force dmg, I need to do something else

This spell wards a creature from attacks by technological objects and creatures of the robot subtype, and protects against mental control from technological sources. It creates a magical barrier around the subject at a distance of 1 foot. The barrier moves with the subject and has two major effects.

First, the target gains a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saving throws. Both of these bonuses apply against attacks made or effects caused by technological objects and creatures with the robot subtype.

Second, the target immediately receives another saving throw (if one was allowed to begin with) against any technological effects that exercise mental control over the creature, including the effects of pharmaceuticals such as torpinal. The target gains a +2 morale bonus on this saving throw, using the same DC as the original effect. If the target succeeds at this save, such effects are suppressed for the duration of this spell. The effects resume when the duration of this spell expires. While under the effects of this spell, the target is immune to any new attempts to exercise mental control over her using technological means.

Though Thera's hands glow with robot-killing magic, her strikes against the construct miss. A strange electrical pulse fires from the pistol in Lendaro's hand, but strikes the ceiling.

The ooze unwraps its gray tendril from Rakdon and lashes out at Linpul, the new arrival. Its tendril taps against Linpul's shield before recoiling back into itself. The two scrapbots' blades stop spinning and making noise. They swing out with their other metal hands, instead. The first one slams Uran with its rusted metal, the other misses Thera completely.

The pain from the scrapbots attack quickly comes and goes as Thera heals the wound almost as soon as it happens. Noding his head to her suggestion, Uran takes a step back, breaking contact with the creature and then take another step to give Tetsuda room to take his place. Once away from the robots flailing arms, Uran lines up a shot and fires at the mechanical beast.

Tetsuda, who had been clicking and buzzing his wings at Uran as he was unable to actually protect the other smaller person, clicks his mandibles together with what can only be heard as approval. The beetle lunges forward with his mandibles spread, ready to chew up some robot.

The red haired gnome shouts up the hole after hearing the doctor.

"I'm doing okay I guess. This thing is really squishy, kinda gross, probably worse for you than the food in the gangs hideout, but nothing I can't handle, although if somebody could maybe figure out what it is that would help."


Linpul strikes the ooze. It doesn't bother striking her as she stands.

Lendaro's shot blasts apart the scrapbot's shoulder, sending strange technological gizmos and rusted metal across the other room. Thera finishes off the (blue) scrapbot with a quick, sharp strike before also slamming the other with her fist.

Uran's blast punches a hole through one of the scrapyard robot's three feet. Tetsuda rips into cords, circuits and metal, tearing off a large chunk from the remaining bot. Its head starts to move and look in different directions, often times away from the group.

Hearing Linpul, Sarainy takes a moment to look down the hole and try to identify the ooze creature.

The magical runes of celestial still dance in the air around Sarainy, their soft melody thrumming in the background.

Dr Lendaro sighs - giving up on determining whether Linpul requires assistance or not.. from her unsimple comments. He stows his timeworn pistol, and draws his flintlock. After willing an adamantine round into the chamber, he fires at the remaining scrapbot... He smiles contentedly with the kick and bang of "old faithful".

Thera crushes the robot's face with her bare fist. Following this attack are two shots from Lendaro and Uran, puncturing its core. The robot sinks sadly to the ground.

Similarly, after Linpul strikes the ooze, an arrow streaks past Rakdon clinging onto the rope, and past the gnome into the gray ooze. It stops moving and forms a puddle of goo covering Linpul's feet.

The gnome's posture changes from a fighting stance to a more relaxed pose that showed her clear curiosity with the creature. Resting her shield on the ground, Linpul sits on her haunches and pokes the puddle.

"What a strange creature, slime is everywhere in this cave, and I mean every... IT'S IN MY HAIR! Honestly, I'm going to say this is not a good start to my morning. I haven't had a shower in Gods know how long, and I have slime, IN MY HAIR! Can anybody wash it out when I get up there?"

Gnomes always seem to be so fantastic when expressing themselves, yet always caught up in whimsy... The Doctor seems annoyed.

"Good Doctor, Linpul did say it was nothing she couldn't handle, and that she was okay. Perhaps you didn't hear her, in the bustle of combat? Don't worry, myself and Rakdon had her back too and would have called for aid had the situation worsened."

Sarainy takes a moment and smiles at him with sincerity, "It's nice to know we have each others backs; and care greatly about each other on the battlefield."

Using her Prestidigitation spell, she sets it to work cleaning Linpul's hair using the water provided by Thera.

"I have to say, as much as travel and adventure is exciting, it sure makes you miss the little things like a nice bath house."

Bowing her head in prayer Sarainy welcomes the moment of peace despite no need for healing. "Desna favours those who do travel. Do many of your people worship the Great Dreamer, Solaria?"

Still bug-eyed from his psionic modifications, Dr Lendaro blinks at Sarainy - unsure at first to what she is referring. "Hmm? Oh yes... no matter."

Before the water get's dumped on her, Linpul pulls the small band out of her hair that was keeping it in a ponytail. After the prestidigitation and impromptu shower she shivers a bit now looking like a wet dog with a lot of hair.

"Well, it might be a power cable. And if that's true, then that generator out there is more than valuable. We can recharge devices like lasers, batteries, chainsaws, etc. Well as long as the device can be run from a generator. Chainblade... oh drek. Either it's a magical spiked chain, or it's a chainsaw."

Trying to wring out some of the water, Linpul ties her ponytail up again, albeit a bit more sloppily and in haste.

"Are you okay Dr? I know I took a big risk plunging down the hole, but I can take it. I wouldn't have risked it if Rakdon wasn't down in the hole. Actually I only bumped myself when I fell down the hole. You know how ten feet is like two humans, it's somewhere around three to four of me."

A flight of metal stairs descends along the other edge of a partially buried metal structure here. A door allows access into the structure from a landing below, while brilliant lights cast illumination out to the south, into a large, damp cave. Far below, a pool of foul green fluid bubbles and smokes.

Looking behind her, Linpul looks over at the green goop and shudders.

"Kind of an icky option, but there seems to be a side passage over there. Maybe the Dr and myself can sneak over and see what lies beyond if we don't like what's beyond the door?"


Solaria sees a hallway that bends to the right. There are three doors, one of which has a keycard reader with green light.

Solaria comes out of her trance, "It's a hallway, three doors, before it bears right, I think it safe enough to go through. One door has a key card with a green light, do you think we try that first."

As she retraces the activity of her friends whilst she remained trance like, he body stiffens as she hears echoes of Linpul talking. "That green stuff, dos anyone know what it is? Let's just fight those we need to, not any strange things that might exist down here. Wasn't that sloppy thing you fought upstairs enough Linpul?" Solaria looks concerned at Linpul's question.
