Do we have a wand of cure light wounds? Can be super beneficial for healing between fights as I'm sure you are aware.

Spear of Purity does sound cool! Consecrate isn't a bad thing to have a scroll of, should the need arise and we not have opportunity to rest. Agreed with Gentle Repose and Ghostbane Dirge. Maybe not a bad place to start?

Can we maybe pickup some more restoration scrolls..just in case!! Oh, and how much can you get if you sell something..1/2 price? Thinking of maybe upgrading my rifle to +2 possibly...if I have enough money that is!!

A scroll of Delay Poison or two might be useful as well. One of those spells you really want to cast "Right now." but hate to have sat prepared for entire campaigns.

Either way, I'm done now in town and happy to head back to finish these Lords of Rust!

Solaria will create a wand of CLW on the day we stay in Torch, making it in the temple if there is one.

If we stay one more day, then she can make 4 scrolls ... 2xLesser restoration, 1xDelay Poison, 1xGentle Repose

If we travel, Solaria can spend 2 hrs per night making scrolls, each scroll taking 4hrs to write, so 2 days travel for a scroll. She will make the scrolls in the order... Ghostbane Dirge, Delay poison, Ghostbane Dirge, Protection from Technology, Consecrate, Spear of Purity. On days that Solaria is unable to spend the whole day making scrolls, she will spend 2 hrs as a minimum making scrolls, 4hrs if possible.

Traveling back should take 2 days, so originally travelling to Torch was 2 days. Solaria can figure out how many scrolls that is.

When you are ready to return, you leave the blacksmithing town behind and return to the squalor of Scrapwall.

Anything you would like to do in Scrapwall before proceeding to the Arena?

Solaria spends time by herself on the journey from Scrapwall, she is seen scribbling on a parchment, concentrating on her prayers and writing the holy words.

Once in Torch, she begs her leave from her friends, after the initial introduction back into Torch. She makes her way to to the chapel, where she uses it's facilities to give her respects to Desna, and working to make a holy wand of healing. The next day, she continues to work with her parchments.

She repeats the process on her way back to Scrapwall.

You reach your base, the Smiler HQ and spend the day preparing for the battle at the arena.

"That we do. Don't worry, we have no intentions of falling before them," Sarainy says to the ratfolk. "We have a promise to fulfill."

Eager to continue, Sarainy reminds the group of what she found out about the Lords of Rust.

Helskarg- a troll with a autograpnel gun. Has two ogre slaves.

Nalakai - an orc cleric of Hellion

Kulgara - an orc with a magic chain-blade, #1 now that Meyanda is gone

Draigs - an ettin that uses spiked chains

Zagmaander - a mysterious creature that most have not seen. Called the Blood Ghost.

Hellion - the Lord of Rust, leader of the Lords of Rust. A god or fiend. Only the leaders have seen him in person. Wrathful, arrogant, insane, powerful.

The ratfolk shows his sharp teeth, then says, "Fights to the death, for hon-er, I mean Scrapworth. Helskarg is the big troll boss of the arena. Usually she cheats. Good luck dealing with her. Obviously no one's one against her."

He turns to Sarainy, "Yeah, yeah. Everyone thinks that they ain't gonna lose. But you know what, sister? They're all dead. Less than scrap."

"So if we know who we might fight, we should prepare accordingly" says Solaria. "Do we know the strengths and weaknesses of our foes? What do we need to defeat a troll and his two ogres? And what is this autograpnel gun? What can it do?" Is there a chance we can discover more about our challenges to be fully prepared, let us not walk in uninformed for a fight we have not equipped ourselves for?" the cleric warns. "What do you know of trolls, ettins. For we have encountered orcs before and know of their strength, and should be prepared to fight such evil creatures."

Solaria urges caution and seeks to infiltrate the arena, to see what they face before they take on the Lords of Rust head on.

Dr Lendaro crosses his arms, cocks his head, and addresses the ratkin before he and his jeering rodent buddies move on. "That is quite an accusation toward Helskarg. If this Helskarg by your word cheats, I infer there must be one or more rules. Enlighten me, if you would.. on how these fights are meant to play out. "The Good Doctor is a man of renowned healing ability and numerous other talents, gaining his favour would surely be of benefit to you and your gang."

Stuff Sarainy knows:

Doesn't know what an autograpnel gun is.
She recalls basic stuff about ettins, trolls, ogres and orcs, including ettins have two heads and are ambidextrous, trolls regenerate unless they are hit with acid or fire, ogres and orcs are fierce creatures.

"Well, there ain't no rules. I guess you just kill each other, or run out of the arena. I meant the numbers, actually. Usually its the same number on both sides, but Helskarg likes to add extra to her side. No one really complains, of course."

The ratfolk takes a quick step back away from the doctor. "Wait a sec. You want to stick your medlance in me. I don't go for that sort of thing, pal."

Everyone ready?

Ready as I will ever be...I suppose!

You head to the scrapmaster's arena in the morning.

About a thousand seats are almost filled with orcs, ratfolk and assorted scrappers. Some of them wear some gang sign, either the Lord's of Rust claw, or the Redtooth Raider's redfang.

An enormous battlefield sprawls here-a fighting arena that measures several hundred feet in diameter, ringed by mounds of junk and refuse stacked in tiers for seating. The ring has an arched opening in its westernmost end to allow access to the arena, while against the eastern side, a large metallic structure akin to a squat tower protrudes form the hard-packed earth. A wooden stairway wraps around the tower’s sides, and a twenty foot-tall stage protrudes from its western façade, overlooking the arena below.

A large platform stands a large figure. She carries a rifle meant for two hands in one of her claws.

The troll Helskarg shouts atop her nest, "Who dares challenge the mighty Lords of Rust? Enter the arena and gain your scrapworth!"

Is casting spells like Heroism at this point allowed? I'd intended to pre-buff before we arrived, but obviously we cut ahead to already in the pit!

If so, I'd like to cast Heroism on Thera as we are outside, which will give;

Buff: Heroism - The target gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks. Duration 50 minutes.

Stepping up with the rest of the party, Sarainy whispers a prayer to Sarenrae, "Blessed be the light, may none walk in darkness."

Thera seems confident... that's reassuring, seeing her so determined and willful gives me courage that we can do this, Sarainy thinks to herself.

"Challengers? Weak looking things, hardly worth my time! But I will make an exception." Kulgara roars.

The troll leaps down from her high platform and crashes to the ground, making a loud noise as the earth breaks beneath her. Two ogres enter the arena from the stairs far to the north, each wielding a greatclub. A handful of orcs jump from the stands and join the arena also, the claw of Hellion drawn on their armor.

You are about 100 feet from any of the enemies.

Everyone's turn. Sarainy can cast Heroism before the battle.

"I'll buy the first of us to land the killing blow on one of the Lords of Rust as much food and drink as they can bear," she says quietly so only the party may hear her, adding "Should we get out of here with our heads that is."

Grinning fully now, she puffs out her chest and stands tall.

Well if we are going to stand in epic combat...

Speaking loudly she addresses all assembled in the stadium, "Let those of Scrapwall know that we stand here ready to fight and die, against these Lords of Rust, for the freedom of all. You have been living your lives in fear of these brutes - who crush your spirits with tyranny and keep you subjectated with bloodshed."

"Your gangs and feuds keep these so called Lords to stand over you, so that you may remain weak while they strong," Letting bardic magic infuse her words, she continues "Fight not against your brothers and relatives, and fight now in a proper way against these oppressors. We already have destroyed the vile Smilers - surely of this you know. We mean to continue our mission most righteous, and slay all who would commit such vile atrocities."

Sarainy turns to address the Lords of Rust themselves.

"You call yourself Lords, rulers of Scrapwall by the will of your might alone. We more mighty say, that ends, today."

Basically I'm just posting any potential attacks of opportunity, with combat reflexes I have 2, so if I get charged for calling out an orc I will probably hit one then maybe slay an orc with 35 damage. I know 2 of them have direct lines to charge me with.
