The monstrous polyp accumulates wounds from sharing each of your pain (minus Dervak) and both Dervak and Allegra give it a mighty chop preventing it from further harassing you. Its tentacles still twitch for a good while but doesn't hurt you further.
Kaklatath returns and leads you into the ajar doors:
Within is an immense gallery, dozens of broad columns reverberate with a sickening chorus of whistling wind that echoes and clashes with itself. Deep fissures from an earthquake mar the wall's structure.
Kaklatath closes her eyes and turns around, concentration clear on her face. She explains after several minutes, "These are the Inner Seals, the psychic resonance prevents the polyps from communing with the King in Yellow and keeps them slumbering. Luckily there is enough energy left in them that if we can repair the walls physically the seals will reestablish themselves."
Stone shape or similar magic that can reshape existing stone works. There may be other methods.

After examining the chamber Mara said, "I'm going to meditate for some divine reparative prayers." She sat down with her ancestor dolls and immersed herself in quiet contemplation for a few minutes.

One will do it. If you wanted to try something like stone to mud and then mud to stone it would take multiple castings.
Dervak |
Dervak has taken 10 NL and 14 lethal damage.
Dervak ends his rage (3 rounds used), catches his breath, and makes sure the Flying Polyp is dead.

When she was finished meditating, Mara consulted with Kaklatath, and performed the ritual to repair the seals, "Daddy, we must prevent the flying polyps from plaguing this city!"
Casting Stone Shape.
Once it was done, she turned to her companions, "I will need to rest and regain spells before we attempt to vanquish the evil in the lake. Unless several of you already have the means to fight and breathe underwater."
Mara has the slots let to memorize two Ride the Waves spells, while rememorizing one Blessing of Fervor. She also has one use of Haste left.
Dervak |
"I have some magic to do that," says Dervak.
Picked up Ride the Waves as one of his 4th-level spells known, but may swap it out next level given that Mara has so many more spell slots than he does.

Theophilus begins to clean off his attire. The Gentleman even receives a new handkerchief from the White Rabbit. He straightens his hat.

He closes his blue eyes, gives a thumbs up to The White Rabbit, and he begins spinning around and around and around (I could keep going but you get the idea) and around (just in case the point was not made. Some people are a bit stubborn) and around (that last one was for me!).
The White Rabbit stops him in a random direction by kicking him in the chin!

Theo seemingly carelessly picks his way through the maze and unerringly leads you to the warrens with innumerable broken cyro-pods. While the Leng ghouls have left their legacy remains, dead Yithians, most of them tortured to death, remain. Kaklatath seems undisturbed by this fact and sheds no tears for her fallen brethren. After leaving her to her new pod you continue to explore the undercity. Turns out there’s only one path forward, lol.
You walk for 5 minutes:
The walls of this 50ft tall chamber jut and pivot at jarring angles, and no inscriptions or furnishings remain to suggest what purpose this space once served. The floor is a riot of cracks and larger crevices, some wide enough to swallow a horse. A vertical shaft in the ceiling ascends 60ft more and to the surface.

They're not terribly powerful, but might prove helpful in the right situation."
Auto ID with max ranks in spellcraft. The horn is equivalent to a Bronze Horn of Valhalla.

Dervak peers over Mara's shoulder at the horn.

So now we can summon a genie and also summon warriors."

Dervak |
"A dragon?"
There is some excitement in Dervak's voice.
He gets prepared for trouble, as Mara says.
Dervak casts Fly on himself and rages, using Dex-rage and applying the effects of Shield.

This is fine Dervak. So close Theo even with your faux hero point.
The creature flies straight upwards and bellows at Theo,
Weiralai is the denizen of Leng who, within the scope of the adventure, you first encountered in Lowl's mansion. You defeated her but she can only truly be killed within the Plateau of Leng. Later while within the Dreamlands she kidnapped the King in Yellow, a dream splinter of Lowls and took him to the moon-beasts prison, on the moon of course. Dervak, after recovering his memories, rememberes being sold to Weiralai by Savin and then sold into the service of Lowls.

"Ethereal? What can we do about that?"

Round 3 come out of delay. Once Seymore, against all odds, makes the eldritch abomination manifest, Dervak sees his chance. He steps forward and attacks.
I realize I had the wrong feat as the prerequisite for Staggering Critical. It should be Critical Focus, which is actually of no use to Dervak except as a prerequisite, but Staggering Critical should be good if it lands. Using Fortune hex and Destined Strike 3 of 5 on the tertiary.

Fortune Hex: 1d20 + 15 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 15 + 8 = 42
Damage: 2d6 + 31 ⇒ (6, 5) + 31 = 42
Autoconfirmed Crit Damage: 2d6 + 31 ⇒ (5, 5) + 31 = 41
Also, staggered 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 rounds, DC 23 Fort to reduce that to 1 round. Unless it is immune to crits.
Gore: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40
Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 That does count as magical due to Arcane Strike, if it matters.
Dervak's first few swings are rushed and imprecise, but with Mara's and his own abilities to twist probabilities, he lands a telling blow on the monstrosity. Hopefully.
