Allegra Gavrospex |
Allegra prays to Torag for the smoke from his Forge and belches it forth, covering the great beast in its noxious fumes. Then she steps forward and swings at it furiously.
Spending a fervor to swift cast Hallucinogenic Smoke and exhaling it, 5 foot step into the air, and full attack.

Fort vs Disintegrate: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (1) + 23 = 24 lol, lucky.
Semore seems to be having trouble, he violently thrusts his spear at the horror but can’t thrust deep enough to do any lasting harm. Ci Ci’s green beam of destruction bores a thin hole in its flesh, but what’s not readily apparent is the hole goes straight through it’s massive bulk. The smoke belched by Allegra dissipates completely as it approaches it’s skin, it remains unaffected. Allegra encounters similar problems as Dervak but finally manages to cut through its hide, the beast’s accumulated wounds is enough to cause it to slam into the bridge below it, destroying the otherwise sturdy structure.
Dervak can change up his actions. I’ll get to the next bit in a bit, we’re not out of init yet.
Theophilus Carter |
"The Denizen of Leng, Weiralai warned me of your treachery. She knows you're here, will she come, I wonder?."
Theophilus wonders exactly what the Beastie meant by this...
Dervak |
Dervak barely has time to register CiCi's spell annihilating the massive beast before Theophilus speaks. The Leng slaver's name clearly puts the warrior on edge.
"Weiralai?? Where is that fiend?"
I am assuming that was what the Hunting Horror said in Draconic.
Dervak looks around.

If you want Dervak to change his actions, I guess Total Defense. With Uncanny Dodge, he keeps his Dodge bonuses even against unseen foes.

You can beat on its corpse if you want to. There was just no point to attacking the horror any more.
With her name intoned three times Weiralai teleports into the room. Her form has been twisted so much that she can no longer conceal her horrific visage under loose clothing. Semore looks at Theophilus with a not so amused expression on his handsome, scarred, acidic face.
You must be f!@$ing kidding me!
Theo just shrugs; making a shooing gesture to the Babau.

Semore then proceeds to tiptoe across the bridge toward the nice Lady.

Dervak carves up a familiar looking moon-beast zombie, but losing rotting flesh does little to slow it down.
Mara slings mud and she easily covers the zombie in thick coats of it but it doesn't appear to slow it down at all. Weiralai swats the bulk of it away. Turns out undead are immune to slowing mud.

The Forbidden Name: 11,175 Studded leather armor with yellow ribbons spilling from each of the joinds, 3/day a character with cleric domains with the rune domain can use her blast rune domain power to mark one of the ribbons rather than a square. Such blast runes last until the next time the cleric prepares spells and cannot benefit from other domain abilities such as spell rune. As a swift action while wearing this armor, the cleric can cause one of the ribbons to lash out and touch an adjacent creature, triggering the blast rune as if the target had entered the warded square. When marking a ribbon with a blast rune, the cleric can instead expend two daily uses of The Forbidden Name’s ability to also apply the benefits of another Rune domain (or subdomain) power such as spell rune or warding rune to the blast rune.
Alternatively, any wearer can expend two daily uses when casting glyph of warding or explosive runes—or three uses when casting greater glyph of warding—on a ribbon to treat it much like a blast rune. As a swift action while wearing the armor, she can trigger the glyph as though she had stepped on it; however, she takes half damage from the effect on a failed Reflex saving throw or no damage if successful.

Geir’s translation of the vile Necronomicon is a staggering 888 pages in length, each individual page is astonishingly thin but somehow does not allow for any bleedthrough of text. Even though Theo is fluent in the language of death, it is difficult to read and understand. But the Hatter, with White Rabbit’s help, muddles through. As Theo reads, the already loose threads of his mind fray even further as he comes to understand the alien contents.

EFFECT
The primary caster uses the Star Stela to call to distant worlds and entities, attuning the stone to those energies and subjecting all creatures within 60 feet to those distant entities’ spying eyes for the ritual’s duration. Once active, a stela’s flattened face glows softly with several yellow, eldritch runes. This ritual has no other effect on its own, but it is an important preliminary step in preparing and performing the path to the black star occult ritual.
Once each of the three Star Stelae are attuned then the Path to the Black Stars must be opened,

EFFECT
The casters draw and stand within a ritual circle, tracing eldritch symbols within the air to attune their current location to Carcosa’s cosmic coordinates. Upon this ritual’s completion, the carved runes on each of the focus stelae glow with eldritch power and shine beams of energy toward the primary caster. These beams cast a circle of sickly yellow light in a 100-foot radius around the caster and teleport all of the targets to a random destination on the distant world that holds Carcosa. Performing this ritual in the same place always transports the targets to the same region of Carcosa.
Theo may also now study each of the 10 chapters of the Necronomicon in further detail, without the need for translation.
Each section provides a benefit and may provoke further risk, in any case it takes another 8 hours to completely study a chapter.
Pages 66–131: These pages consist of the book’s original introduction, and contain a detailed accounting of Alhazred’s wanderings through the deserts of the strange planet far off in the universe, Earth.
Pages 132–257: This section contains information on contacting and interacting with various creatures of the Elder Mythos.
Pages 258–493: The largest and most formidable section of the Necronomicon focuses primarily on the Elder Mythos.
Pages 494–591: A densely written section on magic follows the pages on the Elder Mythos.
Pages 592–641: This highly detailed and extensively illustrated section focuses on the nature of the similarities between humanity and the deep ones.
Pages 642–721: This section of the book switches from a more physical examination of the human condition to a mental one, focusing particularly on methods of transfering the mind of one body to another.
Pages 722–799: Formulae for contacting many of the Great Old Ones and Outer Gods can be found in this section.
Pages 800–863: This section contains information on the Dreamlands, as well as methods to travel to and from that realm.
Pages 864–888: The final section of the Necronomicon notes that, despite this book’s length, more secrets remain untold throughout the universe. Rather than attempt to catalog them all within the remaining pages, the book instead presents information on how the reader can manipulate time and space.
Theophilus Carter |
Theophilus seems to be a bit less Charismatic, wise (although to be fair; that was never really a thing), and a bit excited!
I shall need another 8 hours of study; or more, but, I think that I got it.
He smiles.
The White Rabbit is seen wearing a baby diaper and sucking in a pacifier!
Theo needs another level and some Restorations before we actually do these rituals!
Dervak |
Dervak notices that something is a bit off about Theophilus and, for a change, doesn't chalk it up to the witch's dizzying intellect.
Theo's eyes dart around erratically, and he seems less aware of his surroundings.
Nothing good can come from that book. But it is necessary.
Edit: Dervak will sleep while Theophilus reads - although taking watches just in case something goes wrong.

The time spent researching and resting are eerily quiet.
You realize that you’re standing at the shore of a crystal clear lake. Clear enough that you might as well be staring into the sky. Nothing grows within the lake, no fish or seaweed, and you can see clearly to the bottom, where something stirs. It calls to your mind through invisible filaments, tugging you towards the lake, you can’t help but walk forward, helplessly forced to drown yourself.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Ci Ci sits bolt upright, gasping for breath. "Drowning! I was drowning...in a lake!"
She takes a few moments to calm herself, then tries to reach for her power, and break whatever has a hold on her soul.
"Sunderhexen!" she intones.

Allegra Gavrospex |
Fort DC22: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25
Allegra wakes up gasping for air in a cold sweat. She looks to Ci Ci, in a similar state. "I think...it's clear....where these dreams...are coming from...now."
She leans back and catches her breath. "I'd kill the dammed beast for a good night's sleep at this point. Saving the world is gravy."
