Pharasma |
One of the boisterous toughs next to the Varisians gets up and staggers over to the band, pleading for a song he loves.
He turns and moves back to join his friends, but staggers and falls toward Cordoba.
For Hoktsu and Domo, we use group init. The first person to post an init roll sets it for everyone.
Once init is rolled I'll post the description and start the surprise round. Only Cordoba and Hoktsu have surprise actions... and lucky for Cordoba that is.
The Deceiver |
Cordoba checks the person. He thinks poison but keeps the thought to himself. Fortunately, he himself hasn't eaten a morsel yet. He is prepared in case the fallen man is merely playing possum.
"This man needs help! Send for the doctor!"
And the guys on the other table will blame our group for their companion's distress. Prepare to relieve them of their worries in this life.
Brother Domo |
The Deceiver |
Read it; Init 19 due to Group Initiative rolled by Brother Domo.
The Deceiver notices the envenomed dagger and strikes first with his empty hand, meaning that he hasn't violated the rule of the house.
"I see your dagger!"
Melee Touch Attack 1d20+4=15, Bleeding Touch Damage 1d6=3, Sneak Attack Damage 1d6=4
If the attack hits, the thugs starts to bleed; no save mentioned in the rulebook.

Round 1: Cantina Carnage
Seated on the adjacent mat there appear to be 4 fighters. One of them, the orc (maybe half orc) has the look of a cleric or shaman. Another of the 4, the second half elf among them, has the look of a desert dweller. Also, a black skinned Mwangi man turns toward you... the whites of his eyes are not white at all, but blood red.

It cuts into Cordoba's side... and burns.
DC 11 Fortitude save

The Deceiver |
Melee Touch Attack 1d20+4=23, Bleed Damage 1d6=6
Five foot step to E11.
"Damn you!" Shouts the Deceiver as he clutches at his wound. He then strikes back with his free hand.
Pharasma |
Another arterial spurt sprays out across the floor, Cordoba's assailant starts looking a little pale.
The man with Vass inside him spits out a threat: "Pharasma is a b&%!+, Cordoba, and when I send you to her do me the courtesy of letting her know."
The man (counter 5) at F17 stands and lifts up a heavy flail - the chain rattles as the ball lifts off the floor.
At E17 (counter 2) a wirey man with a slightly elfin face stands, he draws 2 light picks. His cape falls to the floor and he flexes cords of lean muscle and bares his sharpened teeth - his arms, chest and face are covered in snake tattoos.
Domo, Ryor, Aref
Brother Domo |
<Having seen an unarmed man attacked by one that seems crazed, Domo vaults to his feet, moves to G11, and attempts to knock the man (not Cordoba) out.>
"Please, sir, there is no call to attack an unarmed man in such a fashion! Please calm yourself!"
Acrobatics (to vault to his feet as part of his move):1d20+10=24
Attack and damage(nonlethal): 1d20+7=19, 1d6+1=7
Pharasma |
Attack and damage(nonlethal): 1d20+7=19, 1d6+1=7
Domo vaults the mat and drives his palm into the rogue's temple knocking him a few feet back. He snarls at Domo.
Domo:
Aref Sami Shahrokh |
"Draka! Dis is not my fault! I know dese men not a bit! Alak mojady sleaknirim!" Aref points at the greatsword wielding man's weapon while intoning that last part [ooc]Grease on the weapon, DC16 reflex or he drops the weapon. "Surely I cannot be held accountable for dese rabble! Akilara, run my love!"
Vass |
"The man is no more! That is Vass, a fncking demon!"
<Waving his dagger and smiling theatrically.>
"Really Cordoba, you need to get over this superiority complex. We're not much different, you and I."
"And by Iomedae, they shall be banished to their foul domain!"
In a perfect little girl's soprano: "But I don't want to go home yet, daddy."
The Deceiver |
The Deceiver wrote:"I don't need therapy! You do!""Um, sir? I've never fought demons, but I didn't think arguing with them was a very helpful tactic. Perhaps if you knocked the man out, we could remove the demon?"
"What argument?! This is the fncking prelude to the big fat kill!"
For Brother Domo
Aref Sami Shahrokh |
A sheen of oil spreads out over the surface of the greatsword from hilt to tip.
1/2 Elf Psi Warrior. Reflex save vs. grease: 1d20+4=17
The half elf's hands slip on the huge blade for a second, but he gets control over it.
Just give me a couple of hours for the orc and Mwangi, guys
He's gotta make that save each round also or drop it. Not sure if that is on my initiative or his for the follow-up saves though so I'll leave that to you.
