Domo's eyes go wide as Akilara bends over backward. "Wow! She might even be more limber than Master Ping!"

One of the boisterous toughs next to the Varisians gets up and staggers over to the band, pleading for a song he loves.

He turns and moves back to join his friends, but staggers and falls toward Cordoba.

For Hoktsu and Domo, we use group init. The first person to post an init roll sets it for everyone.

Once init is rolled I'll post the description and start the surprise round. Only Cordoba and Hoktsu have surprise actions... and lucky for Cordoba that is.

>>>>>MAP<<<<<

AK is Akilara
B denotes the musicians.
P denotes patrons.
The toughs all have numbers.

FREEBIRD!

Smoke on the Water.

Cordoba checks the person. He thinks poison but keeps the thought to himself. Fortunately, he himself hasn't eaten a morsel yet. He is prepared in case the fallen man is merely playing possum.

"This man needs help! Send for the doctor!"

And the guys on the other table will blame our group for their companion's distress. Prepare to relieve them of their worries in this life.

He fell toward you staggering, Cordoba, read your spoiler last page. He's not on the ground, just crouched low enough to drive his envenomed dagger into your side.

You guys are going to regret it if I have to roll init. I'm feeling really unlucky right now.

I assume you just need a straight d20 roll for initiative?

1d20=12

Domo has a +4 to Initiative, Dex 18.

Male Gnome Druid 3

'Oh boy , fight time !'
Hotsumisso begins to incant a Summon Nature's Ally II

Pharasma , there was no mention of a dagger in your spoiler

Read it; Init 19 due to Group Initiative rolled by Brother Domo.

The Deceiver notices the envenomed dagger and strikes first with his empty hand, meaning that he hasn't violated the rule of the house.

"I see your dagger!"

Melee Touch Attack 1d20+4=15, Bleeding Touch Damage 1d6=3, Sneak Attack Damage 1d6=4

If the attack hits, the thugs starts to bleed; no save mentioned in the rulebook.

Surprise Round

I'll put their numbers and classes in when you start to figure out what's going on.

I've got the would be assassin, then Cordoba, then Hoktsu. Everyone else is surprised.

Hold on, got a meeting here at work.

The Deceiver wrote:

Roger that. He tried to sneak attack you but you got the perception on him, so nobody gets their sneak.

No sneak attack damage. Anyways, the rest of the patrons should attack the other guys, otherwise we're screwed. Enjoy the meeting ;D

You have 7, they have 6. Draka might jump in, too, but I never rolled him up, I wonder if he has some PC class... monk maybe, lol. The meeting was soul destroying.

The rogue lashes out at Cordoba with a punching dagger but finds only empty air: Punching dagger: 1d20+6=12, damage: 1d4+1=2

Cordoba:

Spoiler:
His eyes flare with flames...

The rogue cackles at The Deceiver: "Welcome to Katheer, Cordoba. Hahaha ahahHAHAHAHhaha!"

The Deceiver wrote:

Melee Touch Attack 1d20+4=15, Bleeding Touch Damage 1d6=3, Sneak Attack Damage 1d6=4

Cordoba reaches out at the rogue's neck and a gout of blood sprays forth across the food and drinks.

Hoktsumisso next. Then Round 1.

"Vass!!!"

Male Gnome Druid 3

As stated , Hoktsumisso will begin to incant a Summon Nature's Ally II

By gosh, you see it now.

Round 1: Cantina Carnage

Seated on the adjacent mat there appear to be 4 fighters. One of them, the orc (maybe half orc) has the look of a cleric or shaman. Another of the 4, the second half elf among them, has the look of a desert dweller. Also, a black skinned Mwangi man turns toward you... the whites of his eyes are not white at all, but blood red.

23 Human Rogue (counter 6)
22 Half Elf Psi Warrior (counter 1)
19 The Deceiver: Init +7 (DEX 16)
18 Human (counter 5)
17 Half Elf (counter 2)
16 Brother Domo: Init +4 (DEX 18)

>>>>>MAP<<<<<

The rogue (G12) lashes out again with the punching dagger.

Punching dagger: 1d20+6=19, damage: 1d4+1=4

It cuts into Cordoba's side... and burns.

DC 11 Fortitude save

Cordoba, if you fail:

Spoiler:
Primary effect is 1d6 CON -
Damage: 1d6=6

A half elf throws off his cloak (#1 @ F19) and narrows his eyes into slits. He seems to be gathering some kind of energy... his skin ripples with a strange power as he flashes out a greatsword with blinding speed.

"Aref! By Sarenrae! Why does this happen when you are here?!?"

<Fumbles for something in his pockets.>

Fort Save 1d20+3=23

Melee Touch Attack 1d20+4=23, Bleed Damage 1d6=6

Five foot step to E11.

"Damn you!" Shouts the Deceiver as he clutches at his wound. He then strikes back with his free hand.

Another arterial spurt sprays out across the floor, Cordoba's assailant starts looking a little pale.

The man with Vass inside him spits out a threat: "Pharasma is a b&%!+, Cordoba, and when I send you to her do me the courtesy of letting her know."

The man (counter 5) at F17 stands and lifts up a heavy flail - the chain rattles as the ball lifts off the floor.

At E17 (counter 2) a wirey man with a slightly elfin face stands, he draws 2 light picks. His cape falls to the floor and he flexes cords of lean muscle and bares his sharpened teeth - his arms, chest and face are covered in snake tattoos.

Domo, Ryor, Aref

"Blasphemy!!!"

<Ryor stands and draws his longsword. He turns to face the tattooed barbarian.>

"Uh-oh."

"ROSHAAAANNN! TROUBLE!"

"Strike him!"

<Having seen an unarmed man attacked by one that seems crazed, Domo vaults to his feet, moves to G11, and attempts to knock the man (not Cordoba) out.>

"Please, sir, there is no call to attack an unarmed man in such a fashion! Please calm yourself!"

Acrobatics (to vault to his feet as part of his move):1d20+10=24

Attack and damage(nonlethal): 1d20+7=19, 1d6+1=7

Brother Domo, you'll like Vass. But not in a good way.

Brother Domo wrote:

Domo vaults the mat and drives his palm into the rogue's temple knocking him a few feet back. He snarls at Domo.

Domo:

Spoiler:
There is something seriously wrong with this man. His eyes, glowing red, seem to burn into you.

Aref

<turning briefly to Cordoba, keeping his eye on the possessed man>

"This man, sir, he is not right, is he?"

Aref points at the greatsword wielding man's weapon while intoning that last part [ooc]Grease on the weapon, DC16 reflex or he drops the weapon. "Surely I cannot be held accountable for dese rabble! "Really Cordoba, you need to get over this superiority complex. We're not much different, you and I."

Rackham Pulsifer wrote:

In a perfect little girl's soprano: "But I don't want to go home yet, daddy."

"Where is that blasted ring!"

"ROSHAAAAANNNNN!"

A sheen of oil spreads out over the surface of the greatsword from hilt to tip.

1/2 Elf Psi Warrior. Reflex save vs. grease: 1d20+4=17

The half elf's hands slip on the huge blade for a second, but he gets control over it.

Just give me a couple of hours for the orc and Mwangi, guys

"What argument?! This is the fncking prelude to the big fat kill!"

For Brother Domo

Spoiler:
Kruelaid enjoys the verbal sparring.

For Brother Domo:

Spoiler:
Not to mention that the verbal sparring is Vass's trademark. Before they evicted him from Ryor he would stand around while they fought and mock them.

I also love a good line. The Master Ping line was awesome, BTW.

The orc stands and grasps a battleaxe. He intones "Rovagug korasumo ghaska..." In the reflection of his blade you see a visage of pure horror reflected, yet not there.

The Mwangi stands and mutters quietly... a shimmering red aura takes shape around him.

Syd, Hoktsu, Pulsifer, Jon.... You guys can go in any order.

He's gotta make that save each round also or drop it. Not sure if that is on my initiative or his for the follow-up saves though so I'll leave that to you.

Rules be damned, I'll do it every round before his action, it'll be easier for me to remember.

"Ahaaah!"

<Draka finds what he was looking for. Hands shaking he removes on of his many rings and replaces it with the one in his pocket.>
