Quartle will go with an Antidote Kit. Thanks!

Just as a heads up - I made a post about increasing the functionality of the Class/Level field to make it easier for PbP's. By all means favorite it, stop on by and comment and spread the link. Would make things much better for all of us... Maybe not the coders though... ;)

I will be traveling tomorrow light posting

Rameth the Delver |

still here, just nothing to add atm, and super busy weekend of work

As I was looking through spells this morning, I realized I can start use Masterwork Transformation next level. I can cast that on ppls gear if they want for the material cost of the spell.

Very nice!

I will be traveling and attending a week long conference out of the country from Saturday to the following sunday, if this is a game I play in please bot as needed. If I am the gm then have no fear i am not vanishing. I will try to post once in the morning and once at night.

Hey guys, I just picked up The Dragon's Demand module and am really stoked to run it (hopefully). Anyone interested can go ahead and check out the recruitment thread

I think I will need two replacement for my "red hand of doom" campaing. You have been pretty consistent posting, so if you are interested here are the character creation rules

It is a module from 3.5 AD&D. The great thing about those 3.5 modules is it takes very little effort to convert them to pathfinder. I usually don't even do anything... just adjust skill check DCs a little bit and use the pathfinder bestiary. Some of those third edition modules are just great! (Like the sunless citadel ;p).
Interestingly, it was written by James Jacobs!

Quartle |

I'm also already in a Red Hand of Doom game so will have to pass on that one.
I'll have to see if I have time for a concept for Dragon's Demand. That one is sanctioned for PFS Play. I've run Part 1 for our PFS group.
If you're registered as a PFS player, you're registered as a PFS GM. If not, all it really takes is activating your account.
You don't have to change a thing about the way you want to run it to give people PFS credit. You can run it as a "home" game and people still get the chronicles. I'd have to check the rules on that one to see if you get all four chronicles or only the first three.

DajellyMan |

I didn't see Dragon's Demand listed under the sanctioned modules page? But maybe I'm not looking at the right place... Ah well. I have always wanted to start GMing pathfinder society games, but I just have never taken the time to sit down and figure out how that whole thing works (I guess it's because I don't know if they'll let me smoke and drink while I do it? Do I do it at home? I don't know!).

Quartle |

We started at home, then moved to a game store and now we have the best arrangement of all - a brewpub!
Anyway, the info on sanctioned play for DD is on the module page here. (Just above Product Availability)
Covers Levels 1-7.
Here's the section on how you run it as a home game, but still get PFS credit...like Mini is doing for Runelords.
Alternatively, you may play the entirety of The
Dragon’s Demand, afterward receiving credit for playing
the sanctioned portions of the adventure as if you had
played a pregenerated character. In this case, GMs
running the module are not bound to the rules of the
Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign (such as
20-point buy, unavailability of hero points, etc.) when
running the campaign or the sanctioned portion of the
adventure. Pathfinder Society characters and characters
playing through this alternative format may not play in
the same adventure.

DajellyMan |

So, we just play through with non PFS characters and it is treated as if they had done the adventure with pregens, meaning they can use give experience to a PFS after they reach the level of the pregen or something like that... but how do I prove all this? Is there a log or after we finish I just email someone saying everyone did it and then they can apply XP to a pfs character?

DajellyMan |

So someone could just sit at home and fill out those sheets... that seems wonky.
Well, as of right now each group supposedly has four players, though I have only heard from a couple of them. I guess it wouldn't hurt to throw a 5th in them, though there is something so nice about being able to run a module without adjusting any stat blocks or CRs ;p

Linkified!

Darque Naia |

Huh. Remember I was born the year DnD released young whippersnapper. You and your highfalutin teckanogickal doodads can get offa my treant!
(Also I just learned that if I select it all, then CTRL-click it will offer the go to address option. Takes a lot more effort than just clicking. Maybe if I HAD a more than one-button mouse I would, but I don't. I blame it being a Mac.)

Darque Naia |

Anybody tracking XP? From my memory, after the first bunch of rats, we leveled, then returned to the Mayor (XP there?), then bypassed Ird and his horde (XP?), slew three drow at the door (XP?), and then this latest bunch of rats (250 xp).

Rameth the Delver |

I'm tracking it in my prifile

Quartle |

I agree with you Mini that the reporting could use a little improvement. I fill in so many of them I'm used to it now.
It is an honor system. Technically, people could just print our chronicle sheets and fake their entire progression. Kind of defeats the purpose though.
If your games are full, I can sit out DajellyMan, but if you would like or need more players, just let me know.

DajellyMan |

Unfortunately it is kinda full, sorry guys! If I had known all this PFS stuff I would have put one of you in each group so everyone could get society credit for it! But next campaign I start up (which may be soon, depending how a couple of mine play out), I would love to do something for PFS credit, as I have never GM'd one before and would love to get that in my portfolio :) Thanks for all your help though, I learned a lot, and will definitely be coming to you for help with it regardless (trying to get a weekly PFS thing going at our local game shop).

Quartle |

Sounds good. If you need advice, let me know. One thing I would advise is if you grow larger than one table, start using Warhorn to muster games. Much easier than trying to do it on the fly each week.
