She looks mostly fine. Just a couple of things I noted. First, you have an extra point left for ability scores - probably easiest just to bump CON to 11. Your array, before racial adjustments, was 14, 16, 12, 11, 14, 7 right?
The only other thing that I caught was that your CMB should be +3: +2 STR, +1 BAB; your CMD should be 17: +2 STR, +4 DEX, +1 BAB.
Everything else looks accounted for.

Whoa! What? No, that's too many sheep.
Oh, hey. Sorry about that. Work exploded in my face the second half of last week and this past weekend was the early holiday weekend celebrations with the family. Things should be back to normal now. I hope. Let me get over to the Gameplay thread and get the gears moving again.

Hey folks, just wanted to give you a quick update of things. With the holiday season in full swing right now, I won't be too surprised if posting is a little slow for the next week. Some personal issues I was having on the home front a couple months ago may be resurfacing again. I'll know in the next day or two and try to keep you informed, but should I go silent for a while, that'll be the reason.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Festivus season!

I'll see what I can do about stepping the pace up. However, playing him at the con will also mean that he won't be eligible to come back to the play-by-post for part three as he will be outside the level one tier of the First Steps series. If the gang decides to keep playing beyond the First Step, you'd of course be welcome to jump back in.
While we're on the topic of cons, is anyone happen to be headed to TotalCon, in the Boston area, at the end of next month?

Well I certainly appreciate you not lodging an arrow in the eyesockets of any of my party members, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid happening. ::thumbs up!::
I would hate for anyone to construe my hesitation as anything other than being careful for everyone else's sake. Clearly I'm being too careful.
Also I apologize for not fort saving, I guess? You specified the squares one would need to be in for that, and I wasn't in one of them. My bad.

No worries, there aren't rules for accidentally shooting your team members in Pathfinder. And for the record, I won't ever put fellow party members eyes out when taking control of a player's character - I leave that to the players to do all on their own :P
I had to stop and think about the Fortitude save for a moment. Although you were correctly standing in a square that didn't require it, shooting into the room would have required you to look inside and thus subjected you to the blinding light. Of course, firing with your eyes closed would have netted the same results as failing the save anyways.

I'm here! Been here the whole time. I just tend to lie in wait until I see what the meatier damage doers are doing. I mean, let's be honest, here, play-by-posts weren't built for speed. I understand that Tanrov is intent on getting leveled before a con, though, so I understand the fire under his ass.
I apologize if/when I'm slow to reply- sometimes there's a delay of many hours- sometimes a whole day- with my RSS reader, sometimes my five year old is sucking up all my free time (as well she should.) Etc, etc.

Although I haven't set any hard and fast rules about posting, I do generally like to see the party posting every day. This doesn't mean every player needs to post every day, but as long as there's activity from the party as a whole, I know the game is still kicking and I'm happy. Two or three consecutive days without a single post gets me nervous as I've seen many a game flat-line after the frequency of posts slows down. However, I'm guilty of being a little slow to post at times as work and life forever plot to get in the way, so I don't hold it against anyone.
Don't worry about the order of your posts in combat too much either. While I generally play things out in initiative order, sometimes I'll fudge things around too to speed things up. For example: if Andrazi acts before Tanrov but Tanrov posts first and his action will finish off the opponent, I'll just skip right to Tanrov.

Just wanted to give y'all a heads up that I'll be heading out of town on Thursday for a long weekend in Massachusetts (headed to TotalCon if any of you are in the Northeast US and planning to attend). Not sure what my Internet access will be like - I'm assuming the hotel will have some sort of Wi-Fi - but my schedule will certainly be full. I'll do my best to get a post or two in while away, but don't be surprised if you don't hear from me between Thursday and Sunday.
DM_the Loreweaver |
Hey folks, I know my own posting got a bit spotty there for a while, but I'm trying to make a more conscious effort to post daily (usually around my EST lunch hour). To help me keep things moving, I'd like to see some more regular posts from you guys. I can certainly NPC some actions to keep things happening, but I don't want to feel like I'm dragging you along either. This is the last part of the series and I'd like to try and finish strong.
If you have an questions or concerns, let me know here or in a PM.

Hey everybody. I hope you all had a nice long holiday weekend (I'm assuming yer all in the U.S.). Just wanted to throw you a heads up that I'll be out of town starting Thursday and won't return until Sunday. I'll do what I can to post and keep things moving along, but can't make any promises.
DM_the Loreweaver |
So, that pretty much concludes the First Steps series. I hope you all had fun with it. I'll work on getting Chronicles out to each of you next week. Being that this was the first PbP that I've conducted, I wouldn't mind any feedback you guys might have. You can either leave it here in the discussion group, or send me a private message.
DM_the Loreweaver |
Okay guys, I just sent out the last of the chronicle sheets. You should now have all three chronicle sheets for the entire First Step series. Please let me know if you're missing any of the paperwork or did not receive the chronicle for part three.
I'm going to leave the campaign open through the weekend before closing it up shop.
