As Lynore tries to cross the 2nd time one of the roots is loose and she tumbles. As she begins her tumble she thinks to herself... that was too lose for it to be natural.

Lynore takes a nasty tumble into the pit, and all you can hear is a slight moan and then a grunt.


Dram pulls out a rope from his pack and lowers it down to help pull Lynore up.


As Lynore hits the bottom of the chasm bumping and bashing herself on the various roots on the way down a Huge centipede with two whip like tendrils that trash at the end of it's tail comes hissing out of it's hiding place.

It thrashes into the roots at the bottom of the chasm before whipping it's tail at the prone Lynore. The tendril fall just short, the roots seem to be holding back the centipede and for the moment keep it from being able to savage Lynore.

Stanton takes aim at the Centipede with his bow and lets fly.

Stanton's arrow can't help but find the centipede as it takes up most of the chasm. It lets out a roar of pain, but seems undettered. Mikmek slides down the cliff to stand guard in front of Lynore. Weaponless but resolute to help those who saved him.


The centipede is only able to move a little through the roots again whipping it's tail this time at Mikmek who is a little closer but again fails to make any contact. You can tell that the centipede is now in range with hits tail and will soon be in range with it's jaws.

The centipede doesn't even react to the pretty colors spraying forth from Lynore.

It continues to trash about moving closer to the group, lashing out at the kobold with it's fangs and Lynore with it's tail.

The centipede realizing it has no where to go lashes out at Dram with his dangerous jaws and Mikmek with his tail.

Mikmek attemps to club the Centipede to death with an improvised root club that he swings with both hands, his attack is equal parts surprising and successful as the Centipede shudders and falls over twitching.

The excitable little kobold does a dance on the corpse of the centipede.

Lynore looks down on the little kobold and hands him a knife. "You have earned this back, I thank you."

Lynore searches the centipede for any type of loot, and also looks around to see if there is anything down here like a passage or anything. Going to take my time to do it.


Dram channels divine energy into the area healing anyone of any minor injuries they may have sustained.

Digging through the accumulated filth Lynore finds a greatsword made of silver of superior craftsmanship. 350 gp in loose coin and jewels and 4 arrows made of a shiny iron substance. Mikmek confirms they are cold iron they use them on the mites, they must have thrown them in the pit to keep them away from them. No tunnels out are in evidence. Now that you know to look out for roots you can see several more that are obvious traps to cause you to fall into the chasm.

Lynore decides to take her time and climb up and out in an area away from the roots.

Taking 10 to get out, so 12, hopefully that is enough to climb out


Making the assumption the entire group does the same

The group is now on the other side of the chasm. Stanton claims the greatsword happily replacing his previous weapon. Their doesn't appear to be any welcoming commitee despite the noise from the last 2 fights. It could be the burrow is used to activity such as the toruture and the bizaree caltrop game, or it could be a trap.
