"We want the ring the mites stole back, we are willing to help you get rid of the shaman if you promise to leave in peace with us in this kingdom."
Lynore picks up the map and gives a once over while waiting on the kobold to think over the offer.
"That big chief talk, I help you regardless for saving me."

Stanton motions for the map before telling the group.
"That's the local area, that cave entrance must be where the sootscales live."
Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3
"Sounds good, we will need to go there next, but lets finish exploring this cave."
As you continue down the tunnel you come to a damp room that is haphazardly clustered with broken beds, chairs, wagon wheels, and an assortment ofworn tattered, dingy, and broken objects pilfered or salvaged from big folk. A row of bookcases stands crookedly propped against the far wall. The shelves filled with bits of bone, featers, and dried centipede legs. Old window frames cracked and splintered hand upon the wall like works of fine art.
You see 6 mites lounging around the room. Two pitifully attempt to play a folk some on a stringed instrument, two more are jeering and throwing rocks at the musicians. The last two lie under a sheet trying to read a book with torn pages. As you enter all 6 rise and begin to attack.

Lynore finds 6 daggers, a badly broken mandolin, a ripped apart book in pretty bad shape. In a tin on the stage where the musicans were you find 3 copper, 2 centipede legs, and what looks like a wolf tooth.
As with every part of this infernal cave the tunnel continues into the distance.
as the group has continues following the unexplored tunnels going to assume the group continues with that...
The group comes to a cavern with a wet-looking floor that is crisscrossed by several shallow trenches. Each trench contains trickles of purtrid-looking fluid. Six foul mounds of compost and dung lie heaped about the room, each studded with small spherical eggs.
As the group walks around a mound you notice a single mite sitting on a small stool in front of a large wooden bowl filed with a foul-smelling paste. Three centipedes about the size of a human feed on the contents of the bowl. The centipedes quickly notice you hissing before they begin the advance. The lone mite stands with a start and begins to back away from the group.

"Yuck! Lets keep going."
The group leaves the hatchery and comes back to the workshop they first entered at the start of the cave complex. Mikmek stops the group and asks what they are going to do now.
"Must get statue back to Big Chief before we all turnz yellow and diez."
Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3
"For your help, I want to give you some equipment and help you deliver this statue. If you believe we would be safe with you? We can help get rid of the shaman, but first we should rest."
"With Chief you safe, with Shaman... Mikmek don believe so."
The group sets up camp in the mouth of the cave, they hear some chittering from inside the cave on occasion, likely a missed centipede or two, but don't encounter anything.
Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3
"Mikmek, here have a sling and a short sword. These should do you well, and lead on to your camp."
Mikmek happily takes the equipment before starting to scurry towards the kobold camp.

Mikmek makes good time leading the group across the plains. He happily chats away the hours as the gruop makes the trek. He explains taht soon they will come across a river and on the other side will be the village.
The group crests a hill a few hours before midday and can see that they finally have come to the river. As the come to a stop their mounts begin to become skittish as if they smell something.
