I've always thought that AC was mostly a waste of time on wizards. They can never really get it high enough to make a difference. Conversely, too high an AC on a character (like 26 at 1st level) is mostly a waste. A nat 20 is a nat 20, after all.
Anything that grant a percentage chance to miss outright is usually the way to go, imho.

At this point I'm opting for the metric crapton of HP method.

I think she barely puts me in Medium load at this point lol.

I noticed it now. I will have to review the cast of npcs. It appears we have a noble and a thief, but I will have to see if we have an elf. When I made my elf joke, I thought the noble resented it. Then I just assumed the injured lady was an elf. I will have to review and make a clarifying post.
Neile Vass
Horgus Gwerm - rotund human male. Noble. Not injured, spare superficially.
Aravashnial - male elf. Arcane talents. Arrogant. Blinded/no eyes.
Anevia Tirablade - female human. Called a thief by Horgus. Broken leg.
Does that help?
Tchirash Suntouched
Hoping that Anevia will be able to walk/limp/crutch on her own, since if Bimbur is stealthing along, he's moving 1/2 speed, which equates to 10'/round. It should be slow enough going I hope.
DM-Salsa
She can, but I figure it's been about four hours since you guys started. She's walking on a broken leg and even with leaning Aravashnial, she's bound to be in a lot of pain after that long. I was giving you guys the option of resting for a bit then moving on, but Karas offered to carry her, and well...
Don't worry though, I believe that you should have plenty of time before you have to fight again to put her down safely. >:D

Okay, found out that my mom was in an accident this morning, and spent some time with her tonight.
Unfortunately, that means I haven't done anything to prepare the next encounter. I'll try to get the ball rolling tomorrow night.
Sorry if this is dragging for everybody. I'll be trying to pick up the pace at least a little.
Karas Argentus
That is a perfectly acceptable reason man. Hope everything is ok.

She's okay. just sore. Some idiot was trying to make a turn going too fast and the road was slick. The car is probably totaled, which makes four cars under her name in less than eight years. (My sister totaled the car before this, a tree fell on my first car, my sister totaled her first car, and now this.)
I sent her a bouquet of flowers to cheer her up after I found out. I also visited for a little while. Turns out that wasn't the only bouquet she got. Like I said, she's fine, just sore.

Well, shaken but safe is a good outcome, all things considered. I'm beginning to think your family is somehow cursed, after the run of car write-offs and computercides.
Me, I'm just sitting here wondering why in the nine hells I decided to work with children. I'm only twenty-four, and I think I'm going grey from stress. My fiance thinks my hair's falling out, and I'm inclined to believe him.

I'm an SSO (School Support Officer). I'm basically a teacher's aide, I guess you'd call it. I'm mainly doing one-on-one work with a very complicated seven-year-old - keeping him on task, building confidence, helping him develop positive relationships. Lots of different factors, very complicated background, and he's a really sweet kid when he's on task.
The teacher's trying to control the class, but it's the hardest one in the school. I'm trying to help her, but since I'm being paid to work with this one student, I can't do too much else. It's rough, but all I can do is tough it out, because frankly, I'm damn sick of being on welfare.

Sneaky little dwarf... :)
So, Karas is a demonblood rage animal with a "mother" who loved him and has him on a course towards being a better person. While Rakeesh is an angelblood stoic with a "father" (of sorts) who has him on a path to certain destruction.
Karas, if we can get the banter right, this could be the best "rivalry"!
Karas Argentus
Right?! lol the polar opposite thing is fun :)
Neile Vass
I'm trying to go for River Tam-esque comments, mixed in with a lot of the tricks I picked up when I was writing poetry. Hence a lot of repetition of words and sounds, and the occasional sing-song tone.
And boy, is it ever fun to write! :D
Karas Argentus
I was wondering why the dialogue felt familiar! You're doing a great job :)
Neile Vass
Aww, you're making me blush ;-) I'm trying not to just copy the character, so if it seems just familiar enough, I guess I should stop worrying.

And a surly dwarf that will grumble to them to just 'do their jobs'.

I'll be right there too, I think, with a crazy girl on my shoulder and an amused look on my face.

This party is awesome :)

Salsa is laughing. That can't be good.

I almost feel bad for what I have planned for this encounter.
Almost.
I'm also loving all the dynamics that are cropping up. Keep it up, I love the roleplay that happens in these games.
Tchirash Suntouched
Grumbly Dwarf, Grumbly Shoanti, Crazy Girl "I talk to dead people", Rage Monster Demonspawn with a Silver Dragon matron, fallen angel hellbent on destroying himself, and Tchirash trying to keep them all from either a) going off the deep end, b) killing each other, or c) killing her. FUN TIMES!!
Rakeesh Sah Tarna
Salsa, I can practically see you steepling your fingers behind the screen!
You never pair a sinister laugh with steepled fingers! That's just bad villainy! You always want to pair the steepled fingers with a sinister catch phrase. You pair the sinister laugh with mustache twirling!
It helps if you've just kidnapped Nell and tied her to the train tracks for some reason... :{)
Neile Vass
Neile doesn't want to kill anyone. Gong off the deep end, well, that's entirely likely. Especially if she ever gets to 4 influence with a spirit and effectively loses control...
Rakeesh, where do fluffy white cats enter into the equation?

For that, you'll need a oversized, high-backed chair to slowly turn around in...
Rakeesh Sah Tarna
With a signet ring that has the moniker of your evil organization, preferably in black, so it stands out against the white fur.
Nice!
You could also use a hideous, deforming scar to contrast the soft cuteness of the kitty. Lots of potential villainous accessories with the kitty option.
Unfortunately, with the kitty, you have to leave off the mustache. Nothing ruins a nemesis confrontation like having Mr. Schnookums batting at your face...
DM-Salsa
I should record some of my evil laughs and post them somewhere for you guys to have.
Alas for my villainous image, I am more of a dog person than a cat person.
Still, you did give me an idea. (And as Ronnie and Choon will tell you, that's a dangerous, dangerous thing to do.)

Turning our own ideas against us? CLASSIC VILLAINY!
Plus, few things are more menacing than dogs, if they're being led by a politically ambitious pig!

Four legs good, two legs bad!
