Yay! This was my first PbP too and none have really quite measured up since then. I'm definitely willing to jump right back in.

If we need to do a total reboot, that's cool too. I loved everything about the game. Immersive GMing, excellent party chemistry, and snappy posting. It's hard to find in a PbP game. :D

It's up to you guys, I'm happy wither way and I have been in a RotRL game with a positively wicked GM that I am all too happy to steal ideas from.
I'd have to trawl through the recruitment thread for my original (abysmal) rolled stats... But it would be worth it.
I know Thirzin's player is active; I'm in a Skull & Shackles game with him, run by the same guy who runs the Dragon's Demand game Olivius and I are in (small world, huh?). Good lord, it's 1:30 in the morning and I'm sitting here refreshing this instead of sleeping...

Nope, since it's been eight months since this game was active I am giving you guys a chance to try something new.
I'm planning one starting up a new game thread since I kinda want to start with a clean slate I'll have a link to the current gameplay thread, but if you guys just want to reboot the campaign, I won't bother.
As I said, it's up to you. My job is to make sure you guys are having fun.

Horatio! At least we don't have a Yorick. And Horatio is always prone to getting hit. It's just his nature. Just like Thirzin is prone to drinking...a lot.
I once joked to a friend of mine that Horatio was so named because I rolled horribly poor stats compared to the rest of the party. "And Horatio was the only main character who survived the damn play [Hamlet], so hopefully this means he'll live through the campaign!"
Then my friend pointed out that he'd probably get killed on principle. >.>
But yes, he's a very punchable character. It's fun to play a bastard once in a while.
I just found my old build, and ouch. One stat above 13, and a whole lotta odds. 17 charisma is literally the only thing this poor sod has going for him. >.>

Hey! My main name is Choon, but I'll be Olivius to you. I'm the party's meat shield. I'm going Phalanx Fighter, possibly dipping ranger, then possibly into Stalwart Defender (we'll see)
I hope Pavanna shows up soon. The two of us were building quite a rapport. =(
Phoenix, of the people who are keeping their characters, we have a meat shield fighter (Olivius), a face/knowledge-bot bard (me), a bare-knuckle boxing drunken barbarian (Noro), and a switch-hitter ranger (Thirzin). If Saroune keeps the same character, we have a transmutation specialist wizard. If Pavanna comes back, we have an archaeologist bard. If Victoria comes back, we have an archery-focused paladin.
The biggest hole we had last time around was divine casting.
Lessee here:
-Saroune: Wizard
-Thirzin: Ranger
-Olivius: Fighter
-Horatio: Bard
-Noro: Barbarian
I believe the other two were a witch and a paladin, but I'd have to check.
If no one minds, here's my plan. I'll be starting right after the first wave of goblins. I'll explain what's been going on then drop you right in the middle of it. If anyone objects, I'm willing to entertain other ideas.

you said that you did not need to register to read them but in fact you do need to register. so I never bothered.
He flipped the permissions off for a little while. If you couldn't see them it may have been a caching issue (that's a WAG.) He didn't have them off for very long, so it's possible you just missed the window.

they must have been off a really short time, I posted only 3 days after the intial post. and the first response was about a day and a half after. I was the third response. in the thread, oh well I am here now with Noro so who cares. but still would have liked to read a bit of other's adventures.

Noro - Ah, I probably need to post in the game thread that I found someone. My apologies! I had it open to the public while I was waiting for applicants, but when I selected someone I closed them down again.
I haven't been back to the application thread, I rarely frequent the messageboards here since I host the game on my own forums. Our game over there is "something special" :) I can let you know if someone else drops or if I ever end up adding a sixth.
