...
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn

DM-Salsa |

And we're all equally alone? Well, that's...interesting.
Not exactly, Asuriel's got a set of triplets on her hands. :D

DM-Salsa |

Eh, more or less. Olivius and Saroune are together, but everyone else is pretty much alone with an NPC.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

Gotta say, this is a twist I did not see coming. That was good. Well done.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

An hour! And a glitchy stylus pen destroyed it!
*cries forever*

My supermarket’s Christmas Club Night started at 4p.m. and goes until 10p.m. closing. Barely room to move, let alone think. Will compose post when I can.

DM-Salsa |

Yikes. Hope things turn out okay. Take your time. I'm still waiting on everyone else. :D

Noro Kas |

BTW there is another RotRL game recruiting, and one of the applicants is one of Noro's very first ever adventuring companions.
he submitted the same character that Noro adventured with the first time I created her.
I just have to submit to that game, even if I don't get in, it is nice to have the chance to adventure with one of Noro's very first adventuring companions.

DM-Salsa |

Okay, me and Ronnie have been working on something behind the scenes for a little while (About 2 months.) It was to establish some things that are going to be in play after book 1 is over (only a few more encounters and we're through!)
I had a lot of fun doing it, and I think Ronnie did as well, so hopefully it's a fun read. :D
Horatio's Adventure in Magnimar
I also want to take a moment and tell you guys that I appreciate you sticking with me for the past two and a half years. I've had a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the adventure ahead. I hope you guys are as well. If it wasn't for you being so awesome, this probably would have fizzled a long time ago.
Thanks you! and I hope you guys are ready for another two and a half years.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

It was fun! Though please keep in mind, your characters will know none of this, since it hasn't been spoken of at all.
Salsa, I hope to be around a long time yet. This game's been through good times and bad, and you've all been awesome. Love and hugs all round. :D

Pavanna Alazario |

Where's everyone else? Just busy?
Well, erm, see:

... and I spent most of today trying to catalogue, organise, and perhaps redress the devastation left in the wake of the ravening horde of locusts Christmas-Club shoppers. I’ll try to put something together tomorrow. :-/

Well, this should be interesting....
... reads... >:(
To borrow terminology I’ve seen used in reference to Pokémon games....
Pavanna uses Hugs! on Nuala
It’s somewhat effective
Pavanna uses Headbutt! on Alouette, Ulysses and Paris
It’s moderately effective
I f$+%ing hate bullies. >:(
It also reminds me of some vague ideas I had about Pavanna’s life in Magnimar that I really should run by you, Salsa — I don’t know if they might ever become even vaguely plot-relevant, but they might add some colour and context to her history with the city and some NPCs.

Assuming World of Warships doesn’t suck out my brain and/or soul in that timeframe, I’ll still be here. ;-D

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

That exercise made me realize just how much of Horatio's personality I'm still trying to pin down. It was fun, and it'll get better if / when the group gets to Magnimar. (I'm picturing Jaynestown-style paranoia and bad disguises.)
Poor Nuala, though. Spoony never even got a chance to apologize.

DM-Salsa |

@Pavanna: Sorry, I was just wondering what happened to everyone. I know it's a busy time of year, but sometimes I can't help myself. If you have some things that you want to run by me, go ahead. I'd really enjoy that. I do have to say I was worried when I saw the frowny face. I'm just glad it wasn't directed at me. You may or may not have a chance to meet them yourself. ;)
@everyone: If you have something that you want to run by me or something that you'd like to play out, feel free to PM me. As I said, I had a lot of fun doing this with Ronnie and I'd love to do it again.
The funny thing is, I had started to write it out myself, then I thought it'd be better to get Ronnie involved because she knows Horatio better than I do. :D
Also, I hope things aren't too hectic for you guys this Christmas season. I won't be taking a break, but I'm not going to be pushing things much until the new year.

Noro Kas |

I am at a lost a little as to how to respond at the moment. considering I believe Noro is still in the "nightmare" and not in the best of shape right now.
is Noro clothed?

DM-Salsa |

Yep, she's still clothed. She's in the outfit she was wearing when she came down the stairs.

RIP, Ruby. You were the best dog I ever knew.

Noro Kas |

I think we have hashed out almost everything about Noro already. in fact it has become integral to the entire party by now.

Noro Kas |

since we are dealing with nightmares.
this scene freaked me out the first time a saw it, and it still does

Oh no! What happened? ;_; I'm sorry to hear that you lost your dog.

That was creepy, like be good in a Carrion Crown game creepy.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

I don't know what happened. Yesterday she was all bug eyes and dumb grins and headbutts, and today she was lying crumpled on the back verandah covered in flies. Mum suspects it was a heart attack - Cavvies are predisposed to them, and she was getting oldish (well, nine). I'd had little Ruby-Charles since I was sixteen, and she's left some big furry boots to fill.

Noro Kas |

sent ya a PM.
I am unsure right now if Noro will be any use to the party after this.
she will need a couple of years in between books to get it together, then a couple more years to build back up to what she was before.

DM-Salsa |

@Ronnie: I wish I could send you a puppy via PM, but we haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Thirzin Bronzebeard |

Not sure what's going on with Noro since I haven't been reading her spoilers, but is there any way that Thirzin can help? He's been pretty reserved with the group, but he's always had respect for Noro and her pain makes him have a protective/fatherly streak I didn't expect him to have.

DM-Salsa |

Short version: something I had planned and am now putting into motion apparently is going to have a PC breaking Impact, as in either Noro is gone for the rest of the adventure since things are starting to fall like dominoes, or she's going to not be Noro anymore.
I just feel really stupid and I'm a bit upset at myself because of it. I don't know if there's anything anyone can do, but I'm going to be talking with Ed to see if there's some way to pull Noro back from the edge without having to just toss my hands in the air and say screw it, forget that ever happened.

Noro Kas |

Thirzin: at the moment, you are the only one I really hope can find Noro right now.
there is just too much going on right now with Noro and Thirzin is the best suited (at least in her mind) to help.
I hope that makes any sense at all. (also I sent Salsa a possible solution or at least a temporary one)

Noro Kas |

warning.... If Noro gets out of this and has the chance to beat Tsuto to a pulp, I may get a little graphic in what she will do to him.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

Well, the way technology is going, maybe one day we'll be able to 3D-print puppies. That would be neat. For now, I've just been hugging my sister's cocker spaniel instead, but it just isn't the same.

Pavanna Alazario |

I hope that RP post works okay. I originally thought Pavanna might end her/Ping’s torment by biting out her own tongue, like I once saw someone do in an episode of Sons of Anarchy, but I thought that might not send quite the same clear message to her captors.
More [hugs] for you and the loss of Ruby, Ronnie. I had to have my Border Collie put down a few years ago, and it just destroyed me for the next week or so. (I’m such a loner that he was somewhere between a kid brother and a son to me, and when the vet put that syringe of blue liquid went into his foreleg, I felt like a gorram murderer.) By the sound of it, Ruby’s passing was equally fast and peaceful, at least.
FWIW, I’ve always taken the poem and myth of the Rainbow Bridge as some comfort.

Noro Kas |

man what is going on lately..
first Noro is getting raped/man handled by her arch nemesis
then I find out my Father-in-law is in the hospital after blacking out with heart problems
and then the embarrassment of trying to take my son's to dinner and my card being declined.
and to make matters even worse Ronnie looses a beloved pet. (I love animals...sometimes more than humans)

DM-Salsa |

:C
On the bright side, Noro can turn Tsuto into a pulp and a grease stain whenever she wants now.
But dang, that's a rough day even without the whole GM putting my character through hell thing.

Noro Kas |

I do realize that , what I am wrestling with at the moment, is what would truly be in character for her.
facing Tsuto has always been her weakness, in the past she would freeze up, fearful of him. He has always been her kryptonite (so-to-speak)
deep down inside she wants to beat him to a pulp, but some where in her mind there lies that terrified little girl that only Tsuto knows how to bring out (and exploit).
but it has never been physical until now (not counting their first encounter)
This may be the time she faces her fears. confronts them head on. and beats them to a pulp. or at least brings him lots of pain.
