Sorry guys. I had a busy weekend and an even busier Monday. I'll be moving us on as soon as I can, but seeing as I probably will have to push some time off that was approved back, it may be slow for a bit.
yeah, after my 2-3 month hiatus I'm certainly not about to complain about you slowing down a little bit. (honestly it might be kind of helpful- I'm still just slammed with school work on top of my job and family)

Eh, not really, probably going to have another vacation day back that I got to use before the end of the year since we've got a client wanting us to do something that really isn't a good idea.

It's December, and my younger sister couldn't be more excited.
She's also telling me that I can't do what I was going to do for our mom since I was going to get one of our grandmothers the same thing.
There are times I hate this month.
Three birthdays on top of Christmas. I've got most of the Christmas sorted. I still need two more presents, but I know what to get one and the other, well, I'm not going to be able to do what I was planning on, so back to the drawing board.
I'll see. I need to make time to get back into drawing, otherwise I'm never going to do what I was going to do. Plan B is basically pray for divine inspiration and hope she likes Plan C if it doesn't come.
Then on top of this, I've been disgusted by how low people can stoop on several levels and the bad mood's making it harder than normal to get into a good rhythm for writing. I want to write something good for the Shattered Star game and I want to work on my novel but I can't seem to focus on it enough to actually do the wordsmithing.
I hate politics and politicians. I really, really do.
I feel your December pain... we have 5 Christmas celebrations (my mom’s side of the family; my dad’s side of the family; my wife’s dad’s family; her mom’s family; and her step-dad’s family), plus we have 6 birthdays in December (including my wife’s). Thankfully, my wife loves doing the shopping for all that (except herself) because it’s also the end of the semester and one of the busiest months of the year at work.
I think I'd be gray by now in your shoes. That's a lot.
I'm actually doing better than I normally do. I've got 2 Christmas presents and 1 birthday present left. Most of the time, it's the 20th and I still don't have a clue.
Sorry for the rant above. Just my frustrations at a system that seems more concerned with lining pockets and puffing egos than doing what's best for the country/state.
As some one whose birthday is in December I gotta say I love the month - tis the season of giving after all :)
For me the biggest pain isn't the gift selection or buying - I'm normally pretty creative on that front... its the damned wrapping... As a sausage fingered brute with a low DEX I normally create some very tatty efforts...

Like I said, I normally don't talk about politics and stuff like that. It's not something I enjoy, and it's also one of those things that guaranteed to get someone's temper flaring.
On the Christmas side of things. It's more that I've made some poor decisions where money is concerned in the past and I'm paying for them now. I admit that it's my fault. It's just that December is the one month that I always seem to be running out of money for stuff and I don't want to be relying on family to bail me out. It's just a big source of stress for me, and I don't handle that well.
Sorry for the venting last night. I promise that I wasn't drunk or anything, except tired. I was that. I really just need to stop worrying so much. :)
@Nate: If it makes you feel better. I'm not even thirty yet and I've got some silver in my hair if you look close enough. My great-grandmother on my mother's father's side of the family was gray by the time she was thirty-five, so there's a history there. At least I won't go bald like my dad's side of the family. :P

As far as the money situation goes. I'm slowly starting to get on top of things. As I said, I did it to myself.
Thanks for understanding, though now I got a new thing to mope about. Auburn beat Alabama in the Iron Bowl then lost to Georgia in the SEC championship. I mean, if you're going to knock us out of the running for it, at least win the dang game!
Blech! I've been sick for SO long. First a cold and then a bout of flu, both nasty. I have barely even thought about Christmas yet. I'm actually moving this month and now way behind on getting things ready for it.
As a big middle finger to how stressful this month is going to be, I've spent the last couple of days sprawled on the bed binge-watching Dark. Very excllent! If you watch it go with subtitles, the english dubbing is not good.

Just a wee heads up gang - me and the missus are heading off to Dubai for the festives with my bro-in-law and family from this Wednesday.
I'm not back until the 30th of Dec, and while I hope to post if/when I can, I've no idea on how often I'll manage
I'll hopefully get some posting done tomorrow, but we've a busy run-up until the flight Wednesday so wanted to give everyone the heads up now.
