I've lost track of the # rounds left, but the bull strength and bless should have at least 10 rounds left, Giles and Frum should have 30 rounds left on his shields of faith.

Male Elder GM

Zigil:
Alternatively, you could 5' step and coup de grace as a full-round action (automatic critical hit, and they have to make a Fort save or die).

Androgynous Aasimar Cleric 4; Init +0; Darkvision 60; Per +10; AC 19 (flat 19/touch 10/shieldless 17); HP 36; F+6, R +1, W+8

But just before he moves, a little voice reminds her that she could just 5' step to AF38 I forgot about coup de grace! Thanks.

"I ... AM ... NOT ... AN .. ELF!!" 2-handed coup de grace: 1d8 + 3 + 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (7) + 3 = 14. He frowns, wipes some of the orc blood off and says quietly "I'm much more beautiful."

AC -1 for 1 round.

Male Elder GM

Fort save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

The orc expires.

The lizard and its trainer move into position and attack Grodar.

The lizard's jaws clamp onto Grodar, and he can feel a burning in the wound as the reptile holds him fast.

Giles, that is some mighty fine rolling. However, you might want to take another look at the initiative order. And the map.

Giles:
The lizard is at AE35. And the orcs go before you. I'll let you keep those rolls on a cleave including the lizard though. I suspect you will be able to position yourself somewhere in the AF row.

The orc which Eldan damaged, as well as the other one with a weird sword, decide it is gang-up-on-Grodar time.

Because Grodar is being held fast by the lizard, both attacks hit him.

Giles moves in and unleashes a mighty attack, which fells one of the orcs and the lizard, freeing Grodar

If it does not cost movement to hop the barricade Zigil will move through AC37 to AD36.
Otherwise if Zigil can attack without penalty from AC36, Zigil will move to AC36
Otherwise Zigil moves to AD36 and provokes an attack of opportunity

Zigil will attack orc AE36 MW longsword, 1-handed/blessed/vs. orc/flanked: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 18, slashing: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Male Elder GM

It does cost 5' of movement to cross the barrier. Because Ziggy only has 20' speed, she has to use one of the later options. He can attack over the barrier without penalty, and there is a flank with Giles.

Giles and Zigil both wound their foes.

The lizard's trainer howls with fury and steps over to attack Giles with its orc double-axe.

Odd that it hasn't come up yet, but a single orc body does not interfere with movement. Extra bodies in the same square will make it difficult terrain. As yet, I don't think we are doubled up anywhere.

"Well done everyone. Hopefully others have faired as well. I hope the cost of this incursion is not too great. Let me sweep the field to see if we have anything truly valuable."

Eldan casts detect magic and scans the area.

Male Elder GM

It would take quite a while to thoroughly search all of the orc bodies, let alone do anything like remove armour from them, and the party still has a mission to fulfill.

However, a quick scan using detect magic while the rest of the party does some selective searching (each type of combatant) reveals the following...

Ignoring a lot of standard equipment like leather armour and falchions. Potions, wands, and scrolls are magical. Other magic items are specified.

The drummer had well-made chainmail, a well-made battleaxe, a well-made light steel shield, 5 throwing axes, a thunderstone, his drums, a wand, a potion, and 8 scrolls.

The lizard trainer had a magic scabbard, 2 potions, 2 vials of acid, and an orc double-axe.

The bomber had 2 flasks of alchemist's fire, 2 smokesticks, a tanglefoot bag, and a composite shortbow (+3 Str).

The three orcs from the final wave each had a shotel, 3 pilums, a potion, a vial of antitoxin, 2 flasks of alchemist's fire, and 3 gp.

The standard orcs had nothing particularly interesting.

Zigil performs his healing, and Garm staggers back to his feet.

Male Half-orc Brawler 4 Init +1; Per +7; AC 18, T 12, F 16; HP 30/35; F +6, R +6, W +2

"Anyone know what these scrolls and potions do? Might come in handy." Grodar reloads his crossbow, picks up his warhammer, and lights another torch. Assuming we still have a beacon to light. I can't remember if there's one left.

Male Elder GM

Yes, you were on your way to light the beacon at the Hopespring.
Anything else to do here? Are you good to go, or is it banner time?

Male Half-orc Brawler 4 Init +1; Per +7; AC 18, T 12, F 16; HP 30/35; F +6, R +6, W +2

Zigil suggests gathering at least all magic, gold, antitoxins, smokesticks, alchemist's fire flasks, tanglefoot bags, acid vials, and anything easy to take that looks masterwork. If Grodar, Giles, or Frum can use the composite shortbow, take that too.

"Some of this will be immediately useful. We can identify the magic items later. And if we're lucky we can get back before someone else picks over the bodies. Slei, Giles, Eldan, do you want the throwables?"

"Perhaps we should use the banner one more time. It will still leave us one more use." If so, Zigil will make sure everyone is at full HP first.

Male Half-orc Brawler 4 Init +1; Per +7; AC 18, T 12, F 16; HP 30/35; F +6, R +6, W +2

Grodar isn't proficient with the composite shortbow, but the three channel energies get him back to full HP.
