The orc nearest Eldan pursues the elf, but fails to connect on its attack.
One orc clambers over the barricade near Frum, drawing an attack from the guardsman. The sergeant's slash stops the orc from advancing further.
Three other orcs swarm the sergeant.
In spite of the sergeant's defensive mastery, all three orcs strike grievous blows. The sergeant is barely on his feet.
Other orcs advance after recovering from the logs.
The orcs at the upper barricade attack Giles and Ziggy, and one steps forward to attack Slei through the barricade.
Zigil and Giles are badly wounded, while Slei ducks below the rail of the barricade.
The orc in the smoke recovers.
Grodar attacks the drummer through the barricade and connects once, yet the skald still does not fall.
Zigil attacks the nearest orc (1-handed) for and then moves to AF43, hoping everyone survives long enough for her to channel energy.
Zigil strikes down the badly wounded orc.
"Take heart! This is not the day Trunau falls!"

Eldan takes a 5' step back to AE41, centres himself and concentrates briefly on his ring, activating the arcane bond, recalling yet another Stone Call. Casting the spell, he aims it at AE30 to get the most Orcs. "Hold on just a little longer Sergeant!"

"I was wrong before. That Pearl of Power looks better on you, Eldan...."
Rocks pound down, and a half-dozen of the threatening orcs fall.
The drummer backs away from Grodar, and with a last-ditch effort casts a spell at the brawler.
The effort takes up the last of the skald's orcish frenzy, and he collapses to the ground. The other orcs sag visibly without the enraging drumbeat spurring them on.
Giles swings at one orc (9) and hopes the force of his swing carries into a second orc (13).
Thwap!
Giles will step over the body of the fallen orc in front of him if possible. (5'step)
"Made room for ya Slei."
Giles fells two of the orcs beside him.
Slei steps up to AA-44 and stabs at the orc.
Slei nips in and punctures the orc with her rapier, but it tenaciously stays on its feet.

Frum continues to fight defensively, strikes at the least wounded orc, then steps back towards the rest of the defenders.
Though he misses his attack, he defiantly calls out, "Still four for me and four for Giles! The elf wizard got seven, and the elf priest two! What're you doing, Grodar??"
The orcs continue to pursue the sergeant, and strike at him with their falchions. Frum uses his defensive expertise to his advantage.
Another attacks Eldan, but misses miserably.
And the final orc resists the choking smoke and strikes at Slei.
The halfling nimbly dodges the blow by stepping back.
Zigil casts cure light wounds, holding the charge. He moves to Frum (I think he can do so without taking an attack of opportunity) and releases the spell HP.
Eldan steps to AF40 and unleashes colour spray on the Orcs engaged with the Sergeant.

The orc nearest Eldan collapses to the ground.
Grodar moves to AC-40 and swings at the orc. Even though he misses, he is now flanking the orc.
"Grodar, you're swinging like an elf! Remember your bull strength!"

"Hah! He wishes he could swing like an elf!"
Giles attacks his remaining orc.
Slei will run up to flank the orc Giles is fighting and poke it with her rapier.
Slei manages to get in and damage the orc, but then is inhaling the harsh smoke.
A refreshed Sergeant Frum slashes at the standing orc and drops it.
The orc at the upper barricade makes one last successful attack against Giles, then falls.
The remaining orc stubbornly pursues Eldan, but is still unsuccessful in its assault.
"Five!"
Grodar punches the orc twice.
Grodar steps up and lands a pair of solid blows, but the orc is still up.
Zigil steps to AD39 (to give Frum a flanking position he can reach in 20') and attacks with the for .
An orc enters through the portcullis, with a 6 foot long lizard on a lead. She barks a command in orcish and releases the reptile. Their progress is slowed by the stones all over the battlefield.
In order to help his comrades put the Orc down faster, Eldan will Total Defence, thus maintaining the flank. "My spells are nearly exhausted. Put this one down quickly."
Giles moves in to attack the orc threatening the tender spellcaster.
Giles gives the orc a grievous wound, but it barely stays on its feet.
Another trio of orcs comes in through the smashed gate. They are carrying strange-looking curved swords and javelins.
Slei is only able to move this round, as she is retching on the stinky smoke.
Frum steps back to flank the conscious orc with Giles, and strikes it down.
He grins at Giles.
"Still counts as mine!"
"Looks like this is the last of them coming through!"
If at least two of the approaching orcs are wearing chain mail, Zigil will move to AE38 and ready a heat metal spell, to be cast on the first two of them that move to within 30'.
Otherwise, will cast shield of faith on Frum.
All of the orcs are wearing leather armour.
Slei will move to AD45.
The lizard and its trainer advance towards the lower barricade. Rocks skitter under their feet, slowing them down, but vanish after they pass.
Eldan says, "Someone please put that Orc down before the spell wears off," gesturing at the unconscious Orc and then casts force missile at the lizard handler.
Without the stones impeding their movement, the heavier looking orcs advance on the defenders.
Giles advances on the nearest non-sleeping orc and takes a swing.
"Guess my injuries are affecting my swing. Hmph."
(Do we get +1 for higher ground against orcs below us)
At first, it appears that Giles' swing will be well wide, but somehow it deflects at the last second and chops deeply into the orc.
