"The spring is just outside the gate, but the beacon is at the end of the road beside Clamor. You folks follow your mission, I hafta stay here at my post."

Frum shakes his head. "See! No elf!"
Frum steps into a hazardous position to try to finish off the trainer, and succeeds admirably.
He grins. "Sorry bout the steal, Giles. Hah!" "Rogue! Look at all the chance we gave you to sneak attack!"
Frum closes with the closest orc and swings his greatsword.
"Grodar! Quit jumpin around! You distracted me!"
Frum bypasses the unconscious orc for now, and attacks the one Giles wounded, sending it tumbling to the ground.
"Seven!" "One of you elfs get the unconscious one!"
Frum steps back to flank the conscious orc with Giles, and strikes it down.
He grins at Giles.
"Looks like this is the last of them coming through!"
"Five!"
"Hah! He wishes he could swing like an elf!"
Frum continues to fight defensively, strikes at the least wounded orc, then steps back towards the rest of the defenders.
Though he misses his attack, he defiantly calls out, "Still four for me and four for Giles! The elf wizard got seven, and the elf priest two! What're you doing, Grodar??"
Frum tries to stem the tide, using his greatsword as a whirling barrier while attacking one of the non-wounded orcs.
"Grodar, fall back and take out that drummer!" Frum steps over into the breach in the barricade and waits for the oncoming orcs.
"NOW!!" Frum chops through the rope on his end.
"Grodar, what are you doing? We have to be ready here! I'm sure Giles and the cleric can handle one drummer!" Frum stays ready to chop the rope.
"On second thought... Grodar! Meet me at the other logs!"
"Four!" "Fall back to the second barricade!"
"Get ready. More are coming." Frum moves past Grodar to be near the south logs, and to clear the central path. His greatsword is ready for the next orc.
"You've got that one, Grodar." Frum steps to the side and swings at the orc threatening Slei from atop the logs.
"Two."
"One." "Giles, you sure?"
Frum swigs from one of the flasks that Rabus gave the group and shudders. "Grodar, you should leave that torch your carrying near the boulder." "Get ready."
"Is the Inner Quarter secure? Maybe the thief should help rearguard. And we want Grodar up front where we can keep an eye on him."
"Ohhhh... My head! What did you do?" "Well, I suppose some hair of the dog will help. Unless you have some soothe syrup." |
