Thom.
Thom cuts his eyes between the abomination, the group, and Lucius. "This is taking time we may not have."
He looks over to Turook, giving the scout's blade a concerned look.
I say with Ross's absence, we pull the trigger. I can't think of anything useful to ask, and every question eats away at the buffs we've already spent. I'm not sure of how to resolve this without a fight, and we can't exactly just walk away and leave this guy "alive" in here.
Turook
The creature laughs disgustingly. "I have been gifted with power from Kabriri, and I am, amongst other things, a ghoul. Your cowardly attack while I rested would not kill me, it would but sting."
"We'll just have to see about that!" Turook growls, bringing his mighty blade to bear once more.

Of course. Dunno if he counts as helpless at this point, but that's most certainly a miss.

Why is that an auto-crit? Bless makes criticals auto-confirm, not auto-crit.
Yup. My bad. Carry on.
Thom.
As the fight heats back up, Thom moves forward, calling on one of the rare gifts of his new divine role.
Move closer to the ghoul-thing. Then activate Ragathiel's 'Touched by Divinity' trait power to use True Strike.

Your combined efforts drop the creature into a quivering pile, the look of surprise on his face visible as your own mythical power cuts through him.
You find, after searching his disgusting body, a wand of hold person (10 charges), unholy water (3), a +1 breastplate, a heavy steel shield, a +1 battle aspergillum, a holy symbol of Kabriri, powdered silver worth 250 gp, and a key.
Saoirse Palelight
Saoirse shakes her head and lets the three men deal with the creature, turning towards Lucius once she sees the creature fall to the ground dead. "We are going to discuss this ability of yours to speak with demons when we have finished with this place, yours and Thoms." Her voice showing her suspicious of Lucius for the first time in quite awhile, while giving a glance towards Thom that shares suspicion with surprise; before she nods towards the next area. "Lets get moving, we cannot explore this site forever."
Gonna head for the door to D7.
DM Pendin Fust
Lucius nods swiftly and shrugs his shoulders at Saoirse and as she heads towards the room to the north, he throws a hand out in caution. He tells you that there is a permanent magic spell of silence that he detects over the room. He doesn't prefer to enter the room and suggests those who are not burdened with magical aptitude to look in.
Anyone looking in sees stained-glass windows lining the ceiling of this quiet chamber have all been shattered, leaving colorful broken glass
scattered across the stone floor.
Nebbin Elsbet
"... ... ... ...," Nebbin says as he enters the chamber, explaining what he sees.
Oh wait, no one can hear me.
He looks around, trying to be careful not to step on any of the shattered glass.

The only thing you see here are the shriveled corpses of three or four creatures. Tattered remnants of robes remain on a couple of them, chains around all of them. A couple of books lie on the ground with a thick covering of dust.
Saoirse Palelight
Saoirse nods after giving one last look over the room before moving back to her companions. "Besides the silence over the room, there doesn't seem to be anything immediately threatening. Lets move on."

D8 This mostly barren room has two sets of shackles anchored within a nook along the eastern wall.
You hear a loud whoompf, almost like great wings, and a faint thud coming from the courtyard.

Is the map correct with each of your icons' locations?
The demon reaches down with and arm and touches a stone in the courtyard, suddenly a supernaturally dark orb expands and blankets the area into darkness.
Lucius warns that the demon has cast a spell to create this infernal darkness.
Nebbin Elsbet
I moved my icon as I think I was next to the door. I assume we're all up now?
Nebbin pauses a moment as he can't see.
Waiting to see if anyone can do anything about the darkness before I go this round. Maybe Lucius?
Thom.
What kind of info does that roll give us? I guess defensive abilities first, if the roll qualifies.
Also, can Thom see with DArkvision? Or are we dealign with the greater spell?
"Saoirse!" Thom grunts out, "Can you blade do anything about this dark?"
And yah, are we up?
Saoirse Palelight
Saoirse blinks several times in rapid succession as her sight is plunged into total darkness. Stepping a bit behind her, Saoirse raises up Radiance above her head, letting a bit of the power flowing though her body constantly to spark outwards. A small nimbus of light forming over the crown of her head.
Spending a swift action (and Lay on Hands) to activate Power of Light. All allies within 30' of me get +1 to attack, damage, AC, and saving throws against fear. I dunno if you'd consider this a Light spell or not, but I will be activating Radiance's light feature as well.

I'm assuming the protection from evil back in the previous fight is over now, but not sure about how long Terendelev's scale's effects last or if that's still active.

Speaking of Protection from Evil…
Thom calls once more upon his benefactor to protect his allies, pushing the divine support through the darkness to where he knows they stand.
Use Mythic Power (only 1 remaining for the day) to cast Communal Protection from Evil. Everyone gets one minute except Turook and Nebbin, who get 2 minutes.
DM Pendin Fust
In another round or so Lucius would be able to tell you exactly what spell it is. But no, you cannot see in this darkness with your darkvision :)
Radiance glows angrily, but the darkness surrounds it, pushing the glow to just around the blade. Everyone steels themselves in the darkness, Lucius concentrating hard on the source of this infernal cloak of night.
Only the glow of Radiance can be seen as a pinprick of light, which doesn't even illuminate the hand holding it.
You hear a voice call out of the darkness, like stones on shingles, "Crusaders...your death awaits. But fear not, Maugla will give you new life as one of the ghouls coming now to consume you."
You hear the sound of grotesque wings thumping in flight.
DM Pendin Fust
Lucius rolled rather low on the Knowledge Planes check, you can attempt as well. I run knowledge checks thusly: the base DC is 15 to identify creatures. Every 5 the DC is exceeded you can learn something from 1 of 3 categories; Offense, Defense, and Ecology.
Lucius will be able to figure out that the deeper darkness is spread out in a 60 foot radius.
DM Pendin Fust
If you are all retreating, then you have 3 rounds to do stuff. Then something is going to happen.
DM Pendin Fust
Based on your roll and knowledge of nabasu, it is doubtful that the darkness was a one time thing.
Nebbin Elsbet
How long do the effects from Terendelev's scale last? I need to know if I need to reactivate that...
I'm assuming Saoirse falls back; if she doesn't Nebbin wouldn't
Nebbin retreats at Thom's command, holding his hammer high as he waits tensely for the demon -- or ghouls -- to attack.
No other action unless I need to reactivate the scale's magic.
DM Pendin Fust
Everyone go ahead and give me your 3 rounds worth of actions (Nebbin, if you want to change any feel free). I'll have a scene tomorrow.
RE Terendelev's scales. They are CL 19th so whatever spell effect they grant, assume any timing questions (really anything) can be answered as if the spell were cast at that level when you activate the scale.
Saoirse Palelight
If the darkness gets dispelled Saoirse will move to attack the Nabasu or any ghouls close by. If she does get to attack the Nabasu, she will smite him, so please add +2 to any attack and +5 to any damage rolls that go to the Nabasu. I'll roll for that here...
Turn 1
Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Power Damage: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Turn 2
Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Power Damage: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Turn 3
Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Power Damage: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Otherwise, Saoirse will be retreating with the group, no need to stay inside this darkness spell.
DM Pendin Fust
Lucius, you would know that it is indeed deeper darkness by about the time you draw the wand out...if you want to change your action feel free. I'm assuming you still dispel it.
The darkness clears up and you suddenly see the nabasu flying thirty feet up near the center of the ruined courtyard. A grisly sound attracts your attention to two groups of ugly creatures with wicked teeth making their way towards the same courtyard.
Saoirse I'm going to assume you continue that action but you'll miss all three of those attacks. But...with the new additions of the creatures you can see now, I totally understand regrouping.

Excellent move, Lucius!
Thom pauses and blinks in the sudden light.
"Together! Focus them down if you can!" Thom roars as he moves to group up with the team. As he moves, he calls on the power within himself once more.
Thom is going to spend the first round casting Divine Favor (duration 1 min), and moving to group up with the team. The following rounds, he'll work to coordinate his longspear attacks with Nebbin, targeting whomever the big man targets with his attacks. If Nebbin's target drops before Thom's attack, he'll instead target Turook's target. If at any point someone in the group takes enough damage to be dropped to half or below HP or be subjected to some negative condition or affliction that Thom has a spell to remove (even by spending a mythic power to cast a 1st or 2nd level Oracle spell he doesn't know), Thom will take an action to cast that.
Remember we should still have Protection from Evil up, people!

Heh... I did expect them to be a bit closer, though both groups are over 60 ft. away and the nabasu is out of reach so I guess all of those rolls are wasted anyway. Would you mind if I just moved with the group and prepared an attack on whoever charges first? Can even use one of those terrible rolls :D
Turook
Turook eyes the small room that shelters them, then sheathes his blade in favor of the bow.
Double move to switch weapons.
DM Pendin Fust
One of the rushing ghouls manages to reach the doorway with the others congregating around. It raises a claw to swipe but holds its arm in place. While it waits for something, Saoirse, Nebbin, and Thom strike it down.
The nabasu glares through the doorway and says in Taldane, "Mortals, fear me and still your actions." He points towards you and you feel a weight settle on your bodies...
