Male Human Ranger (Infiltrator) 1

Hey guys, super psyched to have gotten in. Thanks for the chance to play.

DRB, you mentioned that some people had some issues, any for Kart? Didn't seem like that to me, but if I missed something I'd love to make it right.

Male Human Cavalier L1-- AC 18-(T10-F18) | hp 13/13| F4, R0, W2 | Init+0 | Percep +0 | Status: OK

Sir Manfred salutes you!

... and yes, I also thought I had caught everything mentioned in the first Recruitment post.

This was more than I could hope for, thanks for the selection! I'll go over my character sheet, I know I updated her ability scores to a 20 PB last minute, so it's possible there's still a few errors in her statblock.

One question though, since we get max hitpoints at each level, would you be okay with me switching out the Toughness feat for something else? Probably Selective Channeling.

Male Elf Rogue (Scout) 11/Trickster 5; HP 135; AC 27/18/19; F+9/R+23/W+9(+2 vs trap, +2 vs. enchantment); Init +14; Per +22 (+6 vs. traps)

Cocked, locked, and ready to rock!

Narrator [Maps, handouts, pictures: Links in top of page spoiler]

I sent a couple of questions via PM to a couple of you regarding your characters. If you have not received a PM, then everything looks ok.

I've entered the characters in the character generator that I use, and have created html output for each character and loaded it to my DropBox folder. Please verify what I have for you and let me know if there is anything amiss.

Oh, almost forgot, a couple of you did not buy ammunition (bullets, bolts, arrows) for your ranged weapon. Check the sheets and if you didn't, let me know how much ammunition you are buying.

I would like to get all this pre-play stuff finished by Monday afternoon so I can put an initial post out Tuesday morning.

Looks fine to me. As to my question, are you okay with me swapping out the Toughness feat for Selective Channeling?

Ok with me. In my home game, and thus extended to my PbP games, I generally let folks swap a thing or two while still first level so the character fits their idea of what they really want.

I'll make the change in my program, and you please update your alias.

Prohibited schools changed from Divination to Necromancy.
Bonus Languages: Sylvan, Celestial, Draconic, Goblin, Orc
Gear: Addition of Scrolls of Obscuring Mist, Silent Image, Grease and Blend if allowed to craft prior to game start.

Also, looks like I forgot to add the Alertness bonuses, but you didn't. Going to add a more complete spoiler to Venser (familiar) now.

Are we tracking rations as well? Some DM's handwave those things so I hadn't added them (or ammunition) to Fie's sheet. Will update with one, or both, depending on what you're looking for.

Narrator [Maps, handouts, pictures: Links in top of page spoiler]

Yea, I hand wave it also, but y'all need to buy at least a quiver of arrows / bolts or bag of stones at the beginning.

Purchased bolts, probably more than Fie will ever need..but we will see.

Just finished re-reading the downtime rules and looking forward to building a fashionable clothing store + mage tower in one.

Male Human Ranger (Infiltrator) 1

Not sure what Kart will do in his downtime. Can't picture him running a shop. Maybe help train a new group of God-Callers?

Also, Fie, we will just have to do our best to keep these petulant young humans in line!

Yea, I don't have that craft in my program (yet), and I forgot to add it. I'll go back and fix it now. Thanks for the reminder...

Took 2 days to get 2 of 6 responses, and 7 days to get 4 out of 6 responses, in a combat situation that should only take 1 day to finish.

Came cancelled due to Player and DM lack of interest

I will mark the campaign as inactive so it should not show up in any of our lists anymore.

DM Papa.DRB, if the cancellation is because of my lack of reply, I apologize sincerely. I check my campaigns several times a day and, in this case, since Aladir was going last in the initiative order, I was just wanting to see what the huecuva's action was going to be before posting my own. Probably not a great way to be doing it, but I promise you, I've been here and again, I'm very sorry for not just posting an action in-game.

If you'd be willing to give the game another shot, you have my word that I will be more diligent about responding and not wait to see what someone else does in a combat situation. I'll check back frequently today and, if you do give the go-ahead, will post a response in the gameplay as soon as I see your reply. Thank you.

Narrator [Maps, handouts, pictures: Links in top of page spoiler]

No. It is done. I will probably start up another PbP after the New Year. Most likely Kingmaker, but this one is done.

For several weeks, excitement has been building in Kenabres — Armasse is coming! Traditionally an opportunity for scholars and priests to come together to study the lessons of history from wars past, since Aroden’s death, this holy day has become more about training commoners in weaponry, choosing squires, and ordaining new priests. Over time, Armasse has grown to encompass jousting competitions, mock duels, battle reenactments, and other festival events. In Kenabres, the festival (which takes place on 16 Arodus) is eagerly anticipated, for it provides distractions from the horrors of being on the front line of the war. Smiles on faces normally marred by downcast eyes and furrowed brows do wonders for city morale in the weeks leading up to the event. Armasse is a citywide celebration, but the majority of the event, including its jousting matches and other entertainments, takes place just west of the cathedral in Clydwell Plaza, where you are now gathered. It is about an hour before the blessing and the official start to Armasse. You see several folks near you, and introduce yourself to them.

Please provide the following information in your response:
A relatively complete character sheet (you can leave off equipment), including a description, brief history and the introduction to the folks standing near you including your reason for being in Kenabres.

Recruitment ends on Wednesday, November 6th. Five characters will be selected and announced on Friday, November 8st. Play will begin on Tuesday, November 12th.

Character Creation

  • Download and read the Players Guide.
  • Anything from the Paizo PRD is OK, except gunslingers.
  • 20 point character buy. One score 8 or greater, all others 10 or greater after racial bonus.
  • Max gold for 1st level, max hit points all levels.
  • Two traits, one must be a Campaign trait from the Players Guide. However, decouple the Mythic Path from the trait.
  • Knowledge skills, social skills as well as the normal range of skills are important in this AP.
  • This is an heroic campaign, and the theme of good versus evil is very strong. Characters must be of good alignment. Characters with a strong religious background with a good deity that lends itself toward crusading against demons will be greatly preferred.
  • Some familiarity with Mass Combat and Downtime Activities from Ultimate Campaign will be helpful once we get into chapters 2 and 3. Also, Mythic rules come into play at the end of chapter 1 and beyond.
  • Daily posts during weekdays are expected. If you can post on weekends that would be a plus.

PbP rules

  • To speed up play, I will roll perception, survival, initiative, and other rolls for the group as appropriate.
  • Because this is a PbP, encounters will be changed or removed and there will be more story and RP rewards. I will also tell the group as a whole when to level instead of handing out XP.
  • Please provide your timezone in GMT. I am in upstate New York, USA, GMT -5.

For those that applied to my last recruitment for this AP in August:
HERE The extra hours fell thru so I am only on four hours a week at my part time job. This is a good thing as I am retired and was working only because it gives me something good to do, as well as it is karmic payback for all the years I worked in the “Big Corporation”. Also, now I have more time for playing Pathfinder.

*Waves hand wildly* OOH, Oooh! Me! Me!

Character sheet pending... Or in a further post if the window on this closes.

Just so happens I built this character for Wrath of the Righteous - gruff, middle-aged Ulfen cavalier heading for the Guardian mythic path. Main focus will be on drawing enemy aggression and taking as much damage as he can to protect his party. All his info will be in the alias, but I've included his introduction. (I'm usually better at role-playing when I know who I'm talking to, sorry...)

Intro:

Jens is fast growing bored with the waiting. He'd signed up for the jousting, but it was hours away - Alfsigr was currently waiting for him in the stables, as she'd never coped too well with crowds. He sighs, thinking of the skittish mare, and shakes his large head. Cobalt would have walked into a crowded square without a second thought. He banishes that thought before it has time to develop further - now isn't the time. His old horse was gone, and with him, his last reason for living. Gods willing, he'd be on his way to fight the demon horde soon enough.

Middle age brought with it a degree of patience, but he had no patience for doing nothing. The Ulfen were people thirsty for action, after all, and three decades of travelling hadn't managed to quench that thirst. He decides to introduce himself to the closest person.

"Ho there, stranger. What brings you to Kenabres on this joyful day?" He extends a hand, gauntleted in heavy chainmail, to the stranger. "My name's Jens. Jens Varmodsson, hopeful crusader."

I can post daily on weekdays, and I can usually post on weekends as well. I live in South Australia - GMT +10:30.

This character currently follows Pharasma, as he's seeking the fate she has for him - right now, he's lost everything and is looking to die for a good cause. I think he has great role-playing potential, particularly if the party includes people young enough to be his children - he'd act as a father figure, take them under his wing, etc. His willingness to die will be reflected in playstyle - I've already picked out some of the feats and mythic abilities that would fit his concept.

What do you think, GM? Any questions or comments?

Liberty's Edge

Is this going to require any specific downloads later on, then? I have a small PDF of the mythic playtest rules, but I've bought nothing else since then. I'm interested, but I don't want to spring a surprise "whoops! no books!" when everyone's ready to go mythic.

The Mythic Rules are on the PFSRD now.

Dotting for strong interest. I'll stop back after I've had a chance to read the player's guide again and work something up.

I can get something cooked up pretty quickly.

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 32

Dotting as well. I have a concept in mind perfect for WotR. I will post background and build tomorrow.

Oh s%$& yeah! Dot!

I will be submitting a character soon. I would love to play in a WotR campaign. I'm thinking maybe Crusader Archetype or Paladin, perhaps even a ranger. I'll be back.

Have an idea in mind and a means to tie it to another one of my characters in another PbP game. (not a WotR game).

question though what are your feelings about a cleric that follows an ethos instead of a particular diety.

Interested! :)

This is my concept for S'skaar, Lizardfolk Paladin.

S'Skaar:

Appearance: Tall with bluish-green scales and gold-flecked eyes, S'skaar (pronounced S-scar-ar) appears to be a typical member of the Lizardfolk race, but should anyone approach close enough, they will see some humor and joy reflected in his eyes which is atypical for his kind.

Personality: Quiet and reserved, S'skaar has a tendency to observe rather than speak. Because of his upbringing, he's managed to be understanding about people taking him for one of his more savage kinsfolk, and tries to calm their fears when they take a breath from berating or cursing at him. When he enters combat though, his tendency is to be quick and precise, striking where he feels it will do the most good to protect his companions.

Background: S'skaar's beginnings were relatively humble. Born among a tribe of his own kind, his early years were typical for a lizardfolk. However, when he was just 5 years old a band of marauding ogres and giants tore through the encampment, killing everyone in their way. The marauders were pursued by a group of adventurers led by a cleric of Sarenrae. Feeling guilty that his actions had forced the marauders through the lizardfolk's camp, he took S'skaar back to his temple in Kenabres to raise.

Growing up, S'skaar endured everything from bullying and assault by the other youths of the temple, just because he was not a typical humanoid. He found himself studying more and more the martial arts rather than the divine ones. He also found himself being called by the goddess herself to serve. As he approached what would be an adult age for humans, his father, now patron of the temple sent him out to do good in the name of Sarenrae and to find his destiny.

What do people know about you:Follower of Sarenrae, good sense of humor when with friends.

What does your character want in life? To prove himself worthy of Sarenrae's faith, to aid in defense against the Worldwound, and to lead the temple.

Hey DM Papa:

Thanks for hosting the game.

I am very interested and will propose an inquisitor from Sarenrae (Ali Ibrahim) for this game.

Basically Ali is a young man who wanted to be dervish but lacked subtlety. He prayed to Sarenrae and 'heard' that she had a mission for him and that his strength would be appreciated in the battlefront against demons. He was told to report to the Sarenrae chapel in Kenabres for special duty.

Some ideas about his personality are that he is stern and serious most of the time until he bursts out laughing for no apparent reason. His 'healing' will leave scars (branded by Sarenare). Ali fancies himself a dancer and can be seen practicing often although his movements are choppy and would make a real dervish laugh.

Just some stuff off the top of my head and I will develop this further with a proper submission.

My time zone is same as yours (South Carolina). I can post daily and can do better posts during the weekend.

Let me know if you have any concern with what I am proposing. Otherwise I will work on a final submission.

Happy gaming,

Fabian

I think I'll do a Halfling Ranger (Falcon/Skirmisher(prepared spells make me nervous)). Is a Roc okay as an animal Companion (They start Medium and only grow to Large)? I kinda need to know to fill out her history.

Time Zone: Central

Silver Crusade

I wish you luck with this path Papa. Im currently running it for my brothers table. If you have any questions.. lots of good info and suggestions in the path area, and frankly it is an amazing story. I almost started to run it here instead of the more kingdom building one i am running. It is by far the most enjoyable play ive read or told so far and my player have been enjoying it alot.

IF you need any assistance behind the curtin, feel free to ask me. or make threads (spoiler taged) in the WOTR area, everyones generally quick to respond with assistance and there are some nice fan made goodies too.

Here's a character I've been shopping around for this one - I don't think she quite meets the guidelines set out at the moment, but Hero Lab makes that an adjustment that takes three minutes if selected and this should still give you a pretty good idea of what she'll look like mechanically - a few points here and there won't have a huge effect on the important stuff.

Also, while I'm living in GMT-5, I should mention that my schedule is a graveyard shift. This means that my posting times may be a touch unpredictable, but I will post at least once every 24-hours and possibly more, depending on sleeping habits.

ok took a bit but I think I have come up with a story for my submission still need to work on the crunch but any feedback is appreciated...
this story also contains further information regardoing another one of my characters currently in a Curse of the Crimson Throne AP and ties the two alias' together.

also, sorry for the long read...

the story of a divinely touched girl:

Abigail’s full story begins long before she was born. Her parents came from Celestial origins and would travel Mendev helping those in need and battling the demons of the Worldwound; concentrating their efforts in and around Kenares. But their lives became complicated when her mother was with child.

Trey was born many years before Abigail, but the presence of a child touched by celestial origins was dangerous for the Merosa family.
The family was forced to flee Kenabres and they headed south. They were marked beings, an attraction to the demons of the Worldwound.

They were unable to escape the pursuit of the demons. It was as if someone or something was tracking them.

They eventually reached Thornstep in Razmiran. Once there Trey was given to an Orphanage to be cared for. It would seem that this act abated the demon pursuit for a bit. What became of Trey can be found here , as she ended up in an Orphanage in Korvosa.

--- Fast forward a few years ---

Abigail was born just outside the small town of Willip in fertile farmlands of Numeria, to the name of Abigail Merosa, Daughter of Jonathon and Krista Merosa. Abigail and her family never truly called anyplace home since they traveled quite frequently. Jonathon was a well-known salesman among the locals, frequently providing healing salves and ointments to many people at a price that anyone could afford. “People are always more important than Profit” He would always say. Except for not having a steady home Abigail was as happy as any girl could be. She loved her parents as much as girl could.

When Abigail was only 12, raiders attacked her family and took all three prisoners. They were sold to slavers and split up among different buyers. Abigail was a servant for an abusive noble family that wanted to keep their slave trade a secret living on a plantation about 10 miles north of Kenabres. Jonathon ended up in the heart of the Worldwound, as was Krista. What happened during their time away is unknown to Abigail.

Abigail worked hard for her master, Lord Falis, but despite her horrid living conditions and continuous beatings at the cruel hand of the work master, Abigail always had hope and faith. Each night she would pray an angel would come and take her away. Little did she know that angels were listening to her.

Abigail had a good heart; she never believed that she had a pure heart. Perhaps her innocence kept it pure or perhaps it was by the design of the gods, no mortal will ever know for sure. After 2 years the angels answered her prayers but not directly.

An unnatural wind drove a ship toward Thornstep arriving there at just the right time to intercept a slave trader leaving port. Now this misguided ship had among her crew a band of adventurers, one of which recognized the slaver’s ship and a battle soon followed. Taking the slave master prisoner the group learned of other being held captive and their mission became clear. These adventurers saved Jonathon and Krista from the torments they were enduring, which lead these adventurers back to Kenabres to free Abigail. Could it be coincidence? Or did the gods have some influence in the course of events? That is uncertain but the fact remains that this group of heroes freed Abigail and her family. But freedom did not come without a price. Krista died on the ship during childbirth, and the child? He is the bastard brother of Abigail; Krista was raped and beaten numerous times in her captivity this child was the result of those devices.

As pure as Abigail’s heart was; her brother’s was black and vile. With the blood of murderers, slavers, and demon warlords coursing thorough his veins it could be said that the balance was maintained.
One among the adventurers sensed the evil in the child and tossed it overboard. But dark angels brought deliverance to the child.
What happened to the child is unknown to Abigail but when the time is right she will know.

The adventurers arrived after many months of travel to the plantation where Abigail was enslaved. But what they thought to be an easy victory over some stuffy noble turned into an Epic battle For Lord Falis was a Conjurer of great power and he was able to bring many demons to bear upon the heroes. Jonathon sought out Abigail while the battle raged on covering the entire plantation. Many minions of the hells that escaped the fury of the adventurers were moving among the slaves slaughtering them in a seemingly systematic genocide. Jonathon’s failing health from age got the better of him and he was unable to escape the swath of Lemures that raged unchecked among the slaves.

Abigail screamed to her father but he lay unmoving in a pool of blood. Abigail ran to her father’s side. There she was seeing the life ebb from him. Abigail prayed to the angels and soon she felt the power of them course through her and her father. She now believed that the angels of her dreams were real.

The angels did not grant life back to her father but instead took his life force and gave it to Abigail infusing her with power she never realized. Grabbing the spear her father was carrying she turned to face the creatures approaching. Then with an angelic fury she began to turn the battle to her favor, fighting with the strength of the heavens.
Abigail collapsed after the battle was over. When she awoke there was a new wisdom in her eyes. She asked for her father, for surely the angels would have given him back to her. But it was not to be. His soul was now a part of her forever. The adventurers told Abigail all that occurred on the journey. Now her father gone and her mother dead she had to move on. She carries with her the soul of her father and the heart of her mother. The pain brought on by the events of that battle Abigail vowed to try and to never take the life of an innocent.

Abigail took on the craft her father had before but now with a new meaning. She will not give aid to those needing it for profit. The angels will provide her with the means to live. Her help will be free to help end the suffering of innocents and keep a balance of good, evil, and truth in the world. Seek to find a sign of hope in the eyes of evil and be aware of the evil in the hearts of even the best of paladins.

Abigail follows no organized church for they, despite their teachings of goodness, are biased helping some over others in the name of furthering their religion. Her angels favor no one. All live, grow and die in a circle we call life.

Abigail’s journeys, whether by chance or by fate have brought her to Kenabres; the place where it all started many years before she was even born.

Abigail had unknowingly cast Death Knell on her father killing him and giving her more strength. She also was blessed with the following spells for the combat: Bless, Bull strength, Protection from evil, Magic weapon, magic circle against chaos, magic vestment, Divine favor, resistance, protection from elements (fire), and weapon of her belief (+1 holy short spear). She has felt the angel’s power in this sequence of events and has been forever enriched by them. This was a one time event that was a result of being touched divinely.

The Angels is her belief system instead of a specific god. Her holy symbol is a plain cross.
The effect of what happened grants her the touched by divinity campaign trait.

Character creation notes::

Abigail will be either a cleric or an oracle (life) haven’t decided which (if an oracle then seems most likely the haunted curse might apply).

Also Abigail is Aasimar and will most likely be utilizing channel feats as well as the angelic blood line of feats.

As mentioned the Touched by divinity trait and probably the sacred Conduit trait.

I'd like to apply with Pallas Caerscion, an Invulnerable Rager Barbarian. Complete stats are in the profile.

Jens, I took your suggestion and made a young and somewhat adrift character to key off your story.

Backstory:
Pallas Caerscion is a lad with something deeply wrong deep inside him.

Pallas was born and raised in Kenabres. The Caerscion family owns an inn located in the newly built city expansion, and caters to refugees and travelers. The early part of Pallas' life was spent waiting tables, washing dishes, and mucking stables.

It was this last duty that left the boy open for the ills that befell him. A cultist posing as a refugee struck the boy in the head as he was cleaning the stables late one night, and abducted him. The cultist whisked Pallas away to a secret worship site hidden beneath a warehouse in a secluded part of the city. There, he bound the lad to a sacrificial altar and summoned his flock for a ritual sacrifice.

Pallas regained his senses bound spread-eagle and naked on an obsidian altar just in time for the conclusion of the ceremony. The cultist unsheathed an obsidian knife and brought it down into the struggling lad's chest. The ceremony was supposed to steal Pallas' life-force, but the cultist had bungled his spellcraft and Pallas was instead infused with a strange demonic energy. Screaming, Pallas broke his bonds with supernatural strength and fled the lair. The guard was summoned, but by the time they arrived the cultists had disappeared without a trace. Pallas returned to his family, but told no one about what had happened to him.

As the years past and Pallas' body grew, so did the strange energy held within him. The boy displayed a greater and greater temper at slight provocations, and was eventually exiled from his family's inn so as not to drive away business.

Needing a trade, Pallas apprenticed himself to a local smith, where he spent his fury hammering white-hot metal into useful shapes. The smith was impressed with the boy's passion, and Pallas became a smith of excellent skill for his age.

Upon his 18th birthday, Pallas asked his master for release from apprenticeship so he could enlist with the Crusade. The smith agreed, and now young Pallas Caerscion finds himself awaiting the oath, clad in armor and wielding a sword forged with his own hand.

It's time to take the fight to those bastards and make them pay for what they've done!

intro:
Jens' proffered hand is clasped strongly by a muscular youth standing nearby. The boy is clad in a shirt of painfully new chainmail and wears an equally unblemished greatsword across his back. The lad's brown hair is pulled back in a tight ponytail, and his face is clad in the first beard of manhood. Youth notwithstanding, his hand is armored in thick calluses and his grip unabashedly strong.

"Well met," ventures the lad. "Pallas Caerscion. I'm here to sign up for the Crusade too. Not from around here, are you? I don't think I've seen you here before. My family owns the Swooning Loon, on Irori's Way in the New City - "

Not that it matters to me, anymore...

" - so I know the sellswords around here pretty well. You look like you've seen some action!"

Jens, I think you've got 15 point buy stats going on, we're doing 20 point buy. Sobel, I can see your posts!

Is this going to require any specific downloads later on, then? I have a small PDF of the mythic playtest rules, but I've bought nothing else since then. I'm interested, but I don't want to spring a surprise "whoops! no books!" when everyone's ready to go mythic.

Mythic rules and Ultimate Campaign rules are in the Paizo PRD on this website, so other than the free Players Guide, no downloads are needed.

Per the PRD, Roc is an allowable companion for druids or rangers, so OK.

Is that Central as Central US (GMT -6), or as Central Europe (GMT +1)?

I almost started to run it here instead of the more kingdom building one i am running. It is by far the most enjoyable play ive read or told so far and my player have been enjoying it alot.

IF you need any assistance behind the curtin, feel free to ask me. or make threads (spoiler taged) in the WOTR area, everyones generally quick to respond with assistance and there are some nice fan made goodies too.

Appreciate that Klokk. I have been reading the threads in the campaign section as I will be running this for my home group also. Of course that is after I kill them all in their current adventure and they will have to start over. Muhahahahahah !!!

US. I just wanted to make sure.

Applying as a Human Tattoed Sorcerer with the Imperious bloodline.

Taking Riftwarden Orphan trait which gives the Riftwarden birthmark. This causes a sort of interest with magic and tattoos leading to becoming a tattooed sorcerer not of varisian origin. Likely a varisian taught him alot about it though. Will post a backstory soon.

Dark Archive

I've had some interest in playing a Cleric with the Crusader archetype for a while, and this could be a fit. I'm thinking that he would be going for the Hierophant mythic path.

Time zone is mountain here, and I post quite often (too much arguably).

I'm thinking of a lore warden fighter. He grew up in Medev and had a rather unpleasant childhood as he was captured by cultists, but rescued when they were wiped out. He's rather more about thinking out problems than brute force. He also doesn't encumber himself with heavy armor or equipment. It's just not his nature.

Looks like your correct its from UC.

Actually there are number of different types of dervish dancers.

The PRD changes names to avoid using any copyrighted material (the book fluff is copyrighted, the crunch is not).

Thus the Dawnflower Dervish (which is a reference to Sarenrae) becomes the The Dervish of Dawn in the PRD. This is the much more powerful bard archetype. It comes from Inner Sea Magic.

Just to note, your link is to the d20pfsrd, not the prd.

The PRD can be found here

Nothing from the Golarion specific books (Dwarves of Golarion, Orcs of...,,Inner Sea World Guide, etc., etc.) is in the PRD.

DMPapa limited crunch to the PRD unless he is willing to make an exception.

Ahh, my bad, I always use the one I liked so I never think of the distinction. I supposed that means I have to make a different build since I doubt the lore warden is in the PRD.

I have a couple of questions...

1. races
The OP states anything from the PRD except gunslingers. Does that mean races are open to creation?
Note: I was basically thinking of making a variant of a half-orc but I am not set on anything.

2. guns
The Gunsmithing feat would allow creation of guns (mention of downtime activities makes this not seem inappropriate for later in the campaign) and Amateur Gunslinger would allow use of a deed. So, when mentioning not allowing gunslingers does this include guns?
Just looking for clarifications as I have many ideas I am looking at.

1. The ARG is ok, but my preference would be for core of featured races. I am not that enamored with the 'race builder' stuff, but if you come up with something really dang cool, I will at least give it an honest consideration.

2. I should have just said no guns, rather than the class.

Thanks for the quick responses.

Regarding the race, I will make the character with both race possibilites (1/2 orc, half-orc variant) and let you choose one, the other, or to bypass on both.

Thanks again.

Sczarni

Very interested.

I think a fighter or barbarian going champion later would be fun.

I'll see about getting him designed tonight, if work allows.

Several folks have submitted characters that use archetypes not from the Paizo PRD, but from the D20 PFSRD which is an unofficial site, which also contains all (or almost all) of the Paizo material, aka. Inner Sea stuff, <xxx> Race of Golarion, etc.

I will allow material from the D20 PFSRD on a case-by-case basis. Most archetypes, feats and traits will be allowed, but everything will be given a fair look over.

As I said in the reply above about the 'race builder', I am not enamored of the 'alternate' race stuff.

Also, no third party stuff please. That line I don't want to cross.

I'm considering an inquisitor of Ragathiel, probably with a level of urban barbarian (either 1st or 2nd) for controlled rage. I have two questions:

1) Inquisitor gains proficiency with deity's favored weapon. For Ragathiel and the bastard sword, would this count as martial weapon proficiency (ie., I could only use it two-handed) or exotic (so I could use it one-handed)?

2) Say I get the controlled rage variant from urban barbarian. If I later pick up the Anger Inquisition or Rage Subdomain (both of which grant rage that stacks with barbarian levels) is there a problem with having those stack with controlled rage for effect and rounds per day just as they would for regular rage?

Do you need the link to lore warden? It's a fairly straightforward one which gives extra skill points and skill access for giving up most of the armor stuff fighters get.

Might as well link it anyway.

Child of the Crusade: Your parents were members of the crusade, as were their parents before them. (If you are an elf, gnome, or other long-lived race, these could be brothers or cousins instead, since it’s possible that the Worldwound simply didn’t exist at a time before
you were born.) The righteousness of the crusades sometimes feels as if it runs in your very blood, and it bolsters you against demonic inf luence. Your parents may be alive still, or they may have perished
on a mission — that choice is up to you. You grew up knowing them, though, and their zeal and devotion to the crusade is the primary reason you feel the same way.

They’ve told you of other family members who have also been involved in the crusade, and it’s not uncommon for you to meet a distant cousin or long-lost aunt, uncle, or other family member while traveling among the
border towns of Mendev. This strong family tie bolsters your mind and sense of belonging to the crusade. Once per day when you fail a saving throw against an effect created by a demon that would possess or incapacitate you mentally, you may immediately reroll that saving
throw as a free action.

You must take the second result, even if it is worse.

Associated Mythic Path: Marshal.

Doubt -4 for an hour on any skill or ability check after you fail that type of check

Fearless +2 racial bonus vs Fear saves.

Killer Add weapon's critical modifier to its critical bonus damage.

Sacred Touch You were exposed to a potent source of positive energy as a child, perhaps by being born under the right cosmic sign, or maybe because one of your parents was a gifted healer. As a standard action, you may automatically stabilize a dying creature mer

Smite Evil (1/day) (Su) +3 to hit, +1 to damage, +3 deflection bonus to AC when used.

Story:
Part of a travelling caravan that was a part of the logistics train that went along with the main army, Cole was apt at getting himself into trouble as well as those around him. A thoughtless word, or an unintended consequence. Whilst he was out one day, he saw a young child being set upon by a demon of some kind, winged, it was hovering over the child, delighting in the childs terror. In a moment, the stories of his grandfather came back to him, the elder's stories of great battles, and the champions in them. He could be like those champions. Looking around, he took a heavy stick that was lying against a wagon wheel, and shouted at the demon. Unused to being challenged, the demon turned from the younger child, and came at Cole with a great deal of speed, claws extended. A wild swing with the stick somehow connected with something vital, and it was over, the demon was slain, and the child saved. He took her back to the worried parents, and then melted back into the caravan. With the travelling caravans being such small communities however, he was soon spotted out, and parents informed of the events that had happened.

Proud, but furious at the risk that he had taken, Cole's parents enrolled him into the temple of Iomedae that he might learn to fight better, and perhaps even learn when perhaps it might be better to use patience and get help. It was a tough couple of years, but he made it through the trials, and came out the other side the better for it.

He walks as proud, as well he should, the armour glistening in the sunlight. When not armoured up, then he wears simple monks robes. He has learnt that words can avoid fights often, and it is a good idea to try to talk before blood is shed. One path of action can be withdrawn from easily, the other not so much.

Working on a druid ...maybe a Feral Child ...wants to rid the world of the destructive blight of demons.

Dotting with interest.

Dawnflower Dervish is a different archetype from Inner Sea Magic - on d20pfsrd it's listed as "Dervish of Dawn" for copyright reasons.

OK, I've statted up my Feral Child.

He's a Tian male who was rescued by a pack of wolves after being tortured by cultists, who raised him from that point. He knows little of the ways of the world but knows demons and their followers are evil and unnatural. He and Little Brother have witnessed the crusaders and now, as he no longer truly fits in with the pack, they want to join the fight.

Wild Empathy (Ex)
A druid can improve the attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check made to improve the attitude of a person. The druid rolls 1d20 and adds her druid level and her Charisma modifier to determine the wild empathy check result.
The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly.
To use wild empathy, the druid and the animal must be able to study each other, which means that they must be within 30 feet of one another under normal conditions. Generally, influencing an animal in this way takes 1 minute but, as with influencing people, it might take more or less time.
A druid can also use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2, but she takes a –4 penalty on the check.

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies
A feral child loses proficiency with the scimitar, scythe, and sickle and with shields.
Illiteracy
At 1st level, a feral child is unable to read and write, though she may learn by taking 1 rank of Linguistics. She does not gain Druidic as a free language and cannot select Sylvan as a bonus language.
Improved Unarmed Strike
At 1st level, a feral child gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat.
Beast Family (Ex)
At 1st level, a feral child may choose one specific type of animal as the type that raised her. She gains a +2 circumstance bonus on Handle Animal and wild empathy checks withanimals of that type, and she can communicate with them as if using a continual speak with animals spell-like ability, but this ability is non-magical.
