As Sobestian moves through the door, the woman swings at him, but misses badly. She then crashes to the floor, as his whip pulls one of her feet out from under her. Lying on the stone, she clasps her hands together and whispers a fierce prayer.

The half-elf hiding behind the pillar shoots another burst of energy at Tog! Does she hate him? Fear him? Perhaps she secretly likes him, but has a peculiar way of showing it?
magic missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 at Tog
Meanwhile, the halfling who fell to the ground earlier stirs with the cleric’s healing energies. Still on the floor, he snatches up his sword and stabs at Rokdor!
Rokdor gets an AoO on the halfling from him picking up his sword. If she does more than 2 hp, he’ll be unconscious and won’t get to make the following attack:

Rokdor spins around and slams her hammer into the halfling's head as he reaches for his weapon. "YOU stay down!" she grunts. Turning her attention to the downed human, she glares and raises her hammer to strike. "Stop this, now, or I'll have to kill you."
Ready an attack to boop her if she does anything offensive. That is, anything which offends me.

As the determined halfling reaches for his sword, Rokdor cracks him on the head with her hammer. The little fellow's head hits the floor so hard that it actually bounces up and hits Rokdor's hammer again. After this show of equal and opposite reactions, the halfling's head, and the rest of him, come to rest, where they will tend to stay.
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Joining her companions on the ground, the half-elf falls to the floor, gripping her sides and convulsing with laughter.
Tog & Wicket vs. the prone bad guys!

The halfling continues to lie still, as objects at rest tend to do. Wicket rushes through the door to get at the half-elf, and as he passes the human woman on the floor she takes a wild, ineffective swing at him with her morningstar.
AoO, bless, prone: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 4 = 10
AoO damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Rokdor’s readied hammer comes down on the prone woman’s head, causing it to pinball up and down much like her halfling companion’s, but she manages to stay just barely conscious.
The half-elf continues to laugh wildly even as Wicket kicks her, but her mirth ceases abruptly when Tog’s axe bites into her side.
The last conscious assailant, lying on the floor and surrounded by foes of her own making, refuses to give in. ”Must come true…” she says to herself, gripping her hands before her and sending healing energies rippling out.

The woman's determination to succeed is not enough to overcome the impact of Rokdor's mighty hammer. Her head, covered in great, painful bumps courtesy of the dwarf maiden, falls to the floor.
At the same time, the half-elf woman begins to stir...

After teaming up to pound the last of their ambushers into submission, the Pathfinders are able to leave the Shrine of the Failed and deliver Eylysia’s cache to the Grand Lodge. The crowd gathered around the Starstone Cathedral has disbanded, and many of the locals are still horrified following Sir Reinhart’s attempt to vault the chasm on horseback, which ended with a fall into oblivion.
At the Grand Lodge, Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng personally gives his praise and thanks for such an unexpected and successful investigation. ”You’re all off to a very promising start, very promising indeed, in your careers as Pathfinders. I understand none of you have yet completed your Confirmation? That will never do. I will speak with Master of Scrolls Kreighton Shaine to have the process expedited. And I think I have just the right assignment…”
A figure clad in golden robes ducks his shaven head into the Venture-Captain’s office, communicating with nothing more than a nod, and Dreng gets quickly to his feet. ”I must be going, but I’ll be sure to send word soon, once our scholars have…” His last words fade away as he heads out the door and down the hall.
Several days later, each of you receives a letter, explaining what the treasure trove of documents you recovered has already revealed.
