As far as languages, good choices it seems. Maybe some more regional stuff if you have the points, different dialects and the like. And points in Linguistics doesn't hurt for the ones you don't have.
Hmm, the introduction. I'm 30, work in health insurance (trust me, easiest way I can describe it), live outside Boston, MA, married with no kids. Fan of the Red Sox (go figure), the Pats and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers although not really a sports guy in that sense. More a movie and video game buff.

Thanks DMJ. I took Necril and Varisian. Changed the traits to power up a spell (burning hands), left skills at +8 for now (thanks for all the aid anothers chaps) and have finished her equipment and recent background.
Let me know if anything smacks you in the face, otherwise she is good to go.
Cheers

French, congrats on getting selected for the Shattered Star AP! btw, I'm watching the thread and once I see an update the for the next day I'll post again.
And to comment on your post, I think we are all adults here and seirous themes are fine.

The town listings should have some of that info already but here's the summation, since we're fully into the game at this point.
You can research the following topics at the following locations (if available). You've already got the pertinent info on the WW and Harrowstone. The Five Prisoners is complete at the lower DC's, now you're trying to hit DC 25. Each result of 25 (per day) gives you another of the prisoners.
Temple of Pharasma: can research all three topics and receive a +4 to any of those checks; need either Diplomacy DC 25 check or Trust score 30 to use (Dip check must be made each time)
Town Hall: can research Harrowstone or the Prisoners with a +2 bonus; need either Diplomacy DC 25 check or Trust score 31 to use (Dip check must be made each time)
Unfulring Scroll: can research Harrowstone or the Prisoners (with a +2 bonus to Harrowstone only); need either 10gp per day or Trust score 27 to use (money must be paid each time)
Lorrimor House: can research Whispering Way only; free to use whenever

On the Campaign Tab, Vharg is listed as 15HP, he actually has 14. Speaking of Trust, I wish we knew other ways to earn it. Anyhow I think the temple might be our best shot at trying to use it for further research since we allready gained access there once before and its at a +4 for the check.

Regarding the trust score, there are specific ways to increase it that will come up based on encounters etc, but it's also just a matter of roleplay. Except for Randu and Ilya, you guys haven't really interacted much with the townsfolk at all, heads buried in books and such. This isn't to say that you'll suddenly sky-rocket your score by talking randomly to people but so far you're still a bit isolated from the town.

I'll leave the meet and greets to Randu and Ilya, Vharg couldent charm a rock! Besides I am sure there must be some extra negatives involved with a half-orc talking to Ustalavian's. Seeing as how we invaded them who knows how many times.

Hey guys. Got kind of sick yesterday while in the pool with Gavin and also got a pretty severe sunburn that is leeching the energy out of me. I will be back on tomorrow. I just wanted to give you all a heads up.

It appears to be a dusty rose ioun stone, clearly worth more than the 500gp the pawnbroker is mistakenly asking for it.
A very nice item for 500gp! If you happen to have a Wayfinder handy, this thing becomes amazing! Slotless insight bonus to AC, CMB, and CMD? Yes, please!

So... you're all a bunch of re-gifters! Just like my in-laws.
"Say, that looks just like the juicer we gave you guys last year."
"Oh, well, you know... We loved ours so much..."

FYI everyone I am going to be out of town until sunday and internet will be spotty at best, therefore so will be my posting. I'll be fully back sunday night though. Please NPC me in the meantime should you need to.
| Randu |
The next two days I'll be driving /riding for hours tomorrow to see my folks (Family is having hard times) then going back the next day so my posting maybe slow or even miss a day. I should have internet connection but thought I should let you know.

Vharg: Noticed something during the combat that I wanted to bring to your attention. You were using a guisarme as your melee weapon and I wanted to make sure you understood that as a reach weapon you're not allowed to use it against creatures adjacent to you. In the combat, for the surprise round I gave you the benefit of the doubt ruling that you got a readied attack off as C1 moved through your threatened range and then Round 1, you could actually hit C2 without moving so that attack would have worked as well. But this did make me want to raise this as a point to you as your intended action of moving and then attacking C2 would not have worked. Just something to keep in mind in the future.
Also a quick second note, even had you been using your axe you wouldn't have been able to charge C2 as you need to move at least 10 feet (2 squares) in order to perform a charge. Once again, didn't matter given the circumstance but a heads up for future combats.

I could be convinced to retconn an adjustment of certain loot items, given the party makeup. ;-)
Actually, given the party we have and no one jumping out at me as a bow heavy build, I'd be fine saying the arrows were crossbow bolts instead. I need confirmation from the rest of the group on this though. Unless everyone agrees, it'll be the standard arrows per the module. Chime in people.
| Mortimer Valdebridge |
I've no quarrel with it
;)
Hahaha! I approve.
I think only Vharg, Randu and Mortimer can use bows, and Mortimer is a Crossbow Ranger. If you can make them bolts, I will be grateful.
Also, remember we can use them as improvised melee weapons. :D

Thanks DMJ, I'll make sure to correct that in the future. Sorry about the mistake. I should have attacked C2 first then taken a 5' step and attacked C1. Or I could have just bitten C1.
