Taking advantage of the distraction caused by the attacks of Deko and Zinnath (not to mention the fierce dragon's relentless taunts), Bataleigha scurries forward before the man can react, past Zinnath, Fezzik, and Deko, positioning herself between the lead guard and his reinforcement(s).

Fezzik wastes no time in neatly bisecting the first guard. The one further down the hall keeps up the odd hooting sound.

Kyrie unhurriedly walks to a place just inside the doorway and looses a force missile at the lone guard...

...but apparently her focus is distracted by some internal debate, and ephemeral bolt hits with but a glancing blow.

Back from being out of town. Botting Enoby.
Enoby launches an arrow at the more distant guard, the dim light no hindrance to her sensitive eyes.
Shortbow attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Shortbow damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
The guard with an arrow in his guts staggers back toward the end of the hall, while he compatriot advances toward you. You can easily hear the sounds of more people responding from the places further back.

Kyrie fires off another bolt, trying to fell the injured, retreating guard.

"It seems that we may have more company coming!
Come, let us retreat and make as good a Concave as we can. Fezzik, stay where you are. Deko, come back her and stand next to Fezzik. Enoby, move over a bit. Bats, you can stand behind Beko and heal them if they need it."
That said, Kyrie retreats to a place behind the line thus established and waits for the coming tide.

Fezzik pauses as Kyrie puts together a plan. A little confused as to where he is supposed to be with Deko and Zinnath in front of him, he starts to move towards the closest foe but stops when Zinnath's spell seems to kill it. "Where I go?" he asks impatiently, not wanting the reinforcements to arrive before getting into position.

Kyrie waves her hand at Fezzik starts to move. "No no no no. You're perfect, you're golden stay right there!
Bats, just like the gnoll fight, we're about to get swarmed with evil men-at arms. I'm trying to get us into a battle-line to absorb their charge, so our best fighters are in front, and our squishy people are safe in back, and our healer can heal with the heals to our fighters if they get hurt.
Now I think that's pretty basic. Sound good?
Hey, Enoby, move back a bit! Let Deko get where you are!
And Zinnath get back here too! Unless you plan on growing 500 pounds and two age-categories in the next two rounds!

Zinnath's ray leaves the advancing guardsman frozen solid.
The injured guard continues shouting, though it's an odd low droning noise that sets your teeth on edge.
You hear the sound of people assembling further on.
You have one more round before the wave of enemies comes pouring out!

Bat grits her teeth some more and fidgets a bit before quietly whispering back to Kyrie, "Hope you're right about that. If they've got a wizard or other spellflinger with them...well, we're bunched up together just the way they like it!"
Bat will delay until she sees exactly what we're up against.

Moving on then!
You reposition and wait for the enemy to show themselves, and they don't disappoint.
A somewhat organized front line of armored soldiers in the same black cloaks and tabards that you saw before arrives and takes up a set of battle lines at the end of the hall.
"Move, you dogs! Form up and crush the intruders! No survivors!" shouts an angry voice from somewhere in the room behind the battle lines.
Party's turn... then the mass of guards will be upon you! Note that some of them have crossbows!

"Aie yah! Zinnath, get back here, behind Zenoby! Bats and Deko, come back a bit so Fezzik can hit them too! Aie yah!"
...and friendly creatures provide cover, giving us +4AC vs. ranged attack. Ha ha ha ha. =D

Seeing the men with crossbows and the distance between them, Fezzik begins to question if he should be letting a wizard set up the tactical moves. "Maybe I should have grabbed a javelin to start with," he thinks to himself while he waits for something to happen.

The guards seem a bit incredulous at your unwillingness to advance into melee, then one of them shrugs and someone in back shouts "Shoot them!"
A fusillade of crossbow bolts come flying down the hallway.

One bolt manages to ricochet off Bat's pauldron, denting it and bruising her shoulder.

Seeing that Deko's looking rather froggy, Bataleigha snarls, "Change of plans--charge!!" Unfortunately, her heavy armor limits her mobility, and she can't quite reach the line of foes.

Fezzik snickers as 2 bolts hit him but without enough force to penetrate his armor. He is about to mention pulling back into the hallway when Bat rushes towards the mass of men. "Need to talk to group on who should be in charge of tactical combat. First the wizard and now the cleric?" he thinks to himself, shaking his head. He pauses for Deko to move and then moves as quickly as he can down the hall.
Delay until after Deko then double move.

With the signal given, Deko charged forward, crossbow bolts flying past him but none hitting. With a loud cry of glee, his fist flew out with a meaty thunk against the first armored foe he reached.

"No no no wait--! Kyrie cries as the melee line moves forward, but to no avail. She sighs resolutely and moves forward, firing a supporting bolt under Fezzik's legs into the enemy's lines.
If Deko doesn't kill his target, she'll hit him. Otherwise just the guy closest.

Fezzik's eyes get wide with fear as a bolt of energy flies between his legs. "Watch what doing! Don't hit what don't want to," he says with a tinge of panic in his voice.

Hnnggh, didn't realize I'd not updated here recently.
Deko rushes gleefully into combat and his fist smashes directly into the face of the first guardsman, denting the plate of his nose-helm, breaking the man's nose, and crushing his cheekbones as well. He falls over backward with blood spurting out of the ruin where his face once was.
Kyrie's magical missile slams into the guard next to that one, and he lets out an "oof" but manages to keep his feet - barely.
Zinnath hides.
Fezzik pauses, then follows up behind Deko.
Enoby strikes up a bardic performance, recognizing that this is where things are going to get difficult!
Two of the guards in the back fire their crossbows again.
Light Crossbow: Deko: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Light Crossbow: Bat: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
The one still standing in the front rank drops his crossbow and draws his sword, and hacks at Deko.
Longsword attack: Deko: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Longsword damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
CRACK! Deko is clobbered by a solid hit!
"Crush them! Push forward!" shouts a sergeant somewhere in the back. The guards let out a low, droning chant that causes your teeth to grate.

Zinnath will peer over Fezzik's shoulder and fire a ray of cold at the left side one in the second row.

And then stealth again, using the sniping rules.

The clangor of battle resounds through the hallway as weapons clash against shields and armor. Desperate fighting pushes back and forth. Bat's mace crushes the chest of the man she faces, an Zinnath blasts the one behind him in the face, leaving him stumbling around with ice blanketing his eyes and nose.
Enoby launches an arrow as well:

Kyrie frowns cutely. She draws arcing sigils in the air, and the lines writhe and crack as the laws of physics are bent asunder by naught but her WILL! An actual and true Magic Missile flies at the first man in line.
