I believe that Devlin and I have low light vision and Indeo can see in the dark. I am not sure about whether S'skaar can see in the dark, but I know that Colyne will not be able to see, so I think that casting light would be a good idea. I say that you cast it on your morningstar. It may attract some attention to you, but you can self-heal and are much better armored than Devlin or I.

Indeo Hospice |

"Maybe it would be better if I cast it on Colyne. He will need to see better being on point and I can always watch our tail better with my darkvision."
Assuming Colyne agrees I will cast Light upon whichever Axe he proffers to me.

Deslin Swifthand |

It's Deslin my lady, not Devlin... I guess you don't speak halfling but devlin means bald-footed and is quite offensive. I've been called worse things and don't mind but I hardly can help a childish laughter each time you say that word he looks at Nngara as he blushes It's sometimes used as a... dirty word if you get my meaning he looks ahead, the blush rising up to the point of his ears and says But lets get back to the adventuring. As they say:
An idle word
will quiet a sword
and get you stabbed
into your back

Zerrosk |

S'skaar quietly journeys along with the group, keeping an eye out for anything unusual. He spoke quietly to respond to Nngara's comment about vision. No, I cannot see in the dark, so light would definitely be appreciated. I should not wish to mistake a friend for an enemy in the dark...

The northern wing of the tower seems to have escaped the worst effects of the collapse, but rubble still litters the floor and everything is covered in a thick layer of stone dust. Thick cobwebs cloak the ceiling and hang down the walls like gossamer tapestries. A single archway stands open in the southwest wall.
The party moves thru the archway in a line as soon as Colyne and Scar cross the threshold into the room webs fly at them. Both are entangled by the webs.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Scaleback Spider 11d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Scaleback Spider 21d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Colyne 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Scar 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3
Nngara 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Deslin 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Indeo 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Colyne
Indeo
Scaleback Spider 2
Nngara
Deslin
Scaleback Spider 1
Scar
Done, the whole room is DT with the spiders climbing their webs above. The web DC is 12 for Colyne and Scar. You can use a escape artist or strength check.

Nngara Erebrian |

Barring some disaster like getting hit a bunch again:
Nngara sees the deadly spiders and recalling the pain caused by the hounds but a few minutes earlier, decides to take the initiative and uses her Telekinetic Fist.
Fist of power, cause this spiders last hour
Telekinetic Fist - 30' Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

DM Irthos |

Indeo the spiders are on their webs above your head. Melee can't reach them even with a reach weapon. So a dwarf with a morningstar is not going to cut it. Repost your action. ;)
Edit- Guys try to post in order. At least in the same block, for example Colyne and Indeo can post in any order but no one else can post until Scaleback Spider 2 does.

Indeo Hospice |

Ok, then. I will eye the creepy crawlies askance and move over to colyne and attempt to aide him in his escape of the sticky web:
If this is ok I'll aide another in his strength check to escape, I think an additional +2 should be enough if I succeed
1d20 ⇒ 12
If this is not ok I'll cast guidance on Scar to give him an additional +1 to escape.

DM Irthos |

Those in a web take a -4 to burst it. So even with Indeo, Colyne wont make it. Scar can gain the +1 if you want Indeo.
The Scaleback Spider moves thru its webs to bite the struggling fighter. Even covered in webs Colyne's armor saves him from the vermin.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
1d6 ⇒ 2
Scaleback Spider 2 misses, now with in reach of melee attacks.

Retcon -
.
I will instead use my crossbow (I am +3 because of dexterity) and had it ready - see post 96.
With a flourish, I carefully aim my crossbow at the hideous eight legged monstrosity. I pull the release and the bolt flies true piercing the vile creature through one of it's bulbous eyes.
I will shoot at spider 1.
Crossbow Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Crit Chance: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Crit Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Ha - take that ya eight legged spell component.

Nngara Erebrian |

DM Irthos - you are free to ignore this, but to expedite things and not have an idle player.
Skaar attempts to break the webs.
Sssssstupid websss.
Strength Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 --> not sure if he has a bonus from being assisted

DM Irthos |

The spider lunges in again trying to find flesh in which to feed upon. It's fangs bite deep but bounce off bone avoiding vitals.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
1d6 ⇒ 2
Crit Confirm 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
1d6 ⇒ 2
Scaleback Spider 2 deals 2 dmg to Colyne and poisons him. Poison Fort save DC 14, 1d2 Str dmg on a fail or cured on a save.

Nngara Erebrian |

Escape Artist: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Seeing the spider coming at her, I quickly extract myself from the web.
Yuk, I hate spiders.
I would like to take a 5-foot step so that Spider 1 is flanked - assuming that someone else is hitting it. I cannot really say where I move with more detail without a battlemap.

Nngara Erebrian |

Since Skaar has not posted in 2 days, I will continue for him.
Skaar attacks the closest spider with his scimitar. (not sure which is closest to him.
Goodbye ssssspiderssss.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 --> extra +1 for bardic performance
Damage: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7--> extra +1 for bardic performance
Unfortunately, his scimitar is deflected off by some webs.

Colyne |

Finally free of the webs, Colyne raises his axes to attack the spider that dared to bite him.
Axe One: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 2 + 1 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 = 6
Axe Two: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage: 3d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 4) + 1 + 1 = 11
extra +1 for bardic performance

DM Irthos |

Scaleback Spider 1 will be getting a extra turn this round sense his last one was missed and a new order is being posted.
Colyne
Indeo
Scaleback Spider 1
Nngara
Deslin
Scar
The spider in the web shoots more webs while remaining out of reach. While its brother below falls to Colyne's blades. The web lands on Colyne and he is trapped once more in their sticky strands.
Web 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Web 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Colyne is entangled. Scaleback Spider 2 is dead. Nngara, Deslin, or Scar is up.

Deslin Swifthand |

Deslin keeps singing while he slowly makes his way towards Colyne. And keeps a watchful eye on the spider.
Keep bardic performance active - 2nd round (so Nngara has a +1 to the damage she just made) move 2 squares towards Colyne and ready an action; if the spider comes within my reach I attack it with my longsword.

DM Irthos |

Nngara's bolt strikes the weakened spider and it falls from its web dead before hitting the ground where it splatters the surrounding area in gore, the party get some of it. After a little effort Colyne is freed from the web and the room is silent and empty once more.
Check OOC thread if you have not already. Scaleback Spider 1 is dead. End of Combat.

Nngara Erebrian |

I retrieve my bolts from the spider's body. And then look around the room. Is there anything worth searching.
If necessary I will use my Acid Splash cantrip to dissolve webs. It is a cantrip, so I assume I can cast it all day long.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Hmmm - guess all I find is cobwebs - REALLY BIG COBWEBS

DM Irthos |

Colyne comes upon a small cocoon hanging in the webs, holding the remains of an unfortunate dog that fell into the spider’s clutches. The desiccated carcass is still wearing its leather collar, which is studded with lapis lazuli stones and has a silver tag reading “Kita.”
The collar is worth 100 gp.

Nngara Erebrian |

I follow behind the lead fighters with my crossbow loaded and ready.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 --> Wow, look, more cobwebs.
Ok, I know we all want to run through this place and grab the amulet and get our 1000 gold, but we should take things a little slower or the only looting we will be involved in will be when the next adventurers strip our dead corpses of their goods.
.
Before entering any more new rooms, lets try to carefully survey the room and establish a combat form which gives us the greatest strengths - Skaar and Colyne's swords, my crossbow and spells, Deslin's bow and songs, and Indeo's healing. If I and Deslin keep getting hit, it is going to be a long scramble out for the rest of you.
