Thanks for taking care of the loot Thyra!
I am in favor of passing things out as needed, but trying to keep a tally of how much worth one has got, so it can be balanced out with gold in case of large discrepancies.
Hedran could obviously make use of the Amulet since it seems me and Thyra will be playing frontline - but there is no point in a long drawn loot discussion so please take it Thyra, and lets get on with the show ;)

I also like to keep loot as even as possible, while putting what we find to good use and subtracting out loot that benefits the whole party.

Thyra Osouf |

I'm fine with all that.
I haven't played with the sheet enough yet, but I'm assuming that it helps to figure this stuff out.

Cameron Hawkwinter |

GM I take it Cameron hasn't noticed their arrival yet? Looks like the dice bot was being unkind...

Cameron Hawkwinter |

GM what kind of actions would Cameron and Kwave need to make to get across over to where the action is? It looks like there's water in the way, is that deep?

Thyra Osouf |

Sorry. Just realized that I didn't get a response from everyone regarding that amulet. Nessa/Sarai/Cameron, thoughts? I know Cameron is still new and wasn't there when we acquired it, but he deserves a say, as well, as far as I'm concerned.
Also, loot sheet is updated.

Thyra Osouf |

Agreed.

Thyra Osouf |

Before I forget (yet again), since I didn't get any further response about it, I've added the amulet to my sheet, and listed as such in the loot sheet.
Another thought: How are we going to go in, order-wise, after Sarai? Most stealthy to least? Or keep the front-liners ahead?

Hedran |

Guys, I wanted to let you in on my upcoming schedule and some changes which will most likely impact my availability in game.
From the 3rd June I am starting a new job, and one with more responsibility than my latest ones - next week I will be starting the handover (Mon-Wed) in the mornings. This shouldn't impact my gaming much, but when work starts it most definitely will (I am hoping to get myself organized to post once in the am, and once in the evening, as even though I will most likely still have a PC in front of me most of the day, I am not sure how available I will be to post. And I want to focus strongly on this job opportunity).
Then, from the 15th June I have three (or four) weeks of vacations - WOHOOOOO!!!! So there's that also :D
Bottom line, from the next week until the... 15th of July or something along those lines, this will be a bumpy ride. I will keep you up to date on whether I will be able to keep up, etc. I'm not leaving though ;)

Thyra Osouf |

Sounds good, Hedran.
Good luck with the new job. :)

Hedran |

Thanks Thyra!
Using his domain power Bit of Luck on Hedran. So for the next round he rolls twice on d20 rolls and takes the better roll. I.e. advantage from D&D 5th edition.
First of all thanks for the buff Cameron :D
Second, I began taking a better look at D&D 5ed just recently (honestly much because of THIS, but also because I played D&D for many, many years before moving to Pathfinder) - are you familiar with those rules? Do you have an opinion on how this most recent edition plays out? Do you like it?

Cameron Hawkwinter |

5e seems to be very popular, the rules are very streamlined. I didn't like the bounded accuracy and the way spells worked (fewer spells per level than say 3.5/pathfinder and you tend to spam damage cantrips) but the adventure I was playing seemed pretty good (The Castle Ravenloft campaign).

Nessa Meretrix |

So, we watched a tornado form on Monday which promptly side swiped our house and tore through the area dropping trees all over the place. We've been without power since Monday evening and hope to have it back sometime today, fortunately our house came through unscathed. This has caused significant issues with posting and if it doesn't come back on tonight it will be fri/sat before I can get caught up on posting.
If those of you I play in other games with me can pass it along I would appreciate it in case I miss a few.

Thyra Osouf |

Yikes! Glad to hear that you guys are relatively unscathed. Stay safe, Nessa.

Nessa Meretrix |

Alright so question. If I wanted to start pre-casting a sleep spell to drop on whoever comes in through the south door is it possible to draw the casting out so that it doesn't automatically trigger at the beginning of my next round but rather at that time or after the door opens?

GM Dak |

I think that would make sense you are essentially readying an action. Also, glad to hear everything is ok with you Nessa. I will wait until this afternoon for you to get in your action otherwise I will just assume you are going with the above and move us forward.

Thyra Osouf |

Hmmm, we really should think about piling on advantages from using reach tactics. That plus some Teamwork feats, and we can lay down some serious pain ;)
Thought that this would be worth discussing here.
As an Inquisitor, I get Teamwork feats for free, so if there is something in particular that people want to take, let me know. I'm willing to work with the group to help build us into a better unit. :)

Hedran |

Here is some food for thought ;)
Gang Up:
Prerequisites: Int 13, Combat Expertise.
Benefit: You are considered to be flanking an opponent if at least two of your allies are threatening that opponent, regardless of your actual positioning.
Outflank:
Prerequisite: Base attack bonus +4.
Benefit: Whenever you and an ally who also has this feat are flanking the same creature, your flanking bonus on attack rolls increases to +4. In addition, whenever you score a critical hit against the flanked creature, it provokes an attack of opportunity from your ally.
Paired Opportunists:
You know how to make an enemy pay for lax defenses.
Benefit: Whenever you are adjacent to an ally who also has this feat, you receive a +4 circumstance bonus on attacks of opportunity against creatures that you both threaten. Enemies that provoke attacks of opportunity from your ally also provoke attacks of opportunity from you so long as you threaten them (even if the situation or an ability would normally deny you the attack of opportunity). This does not allow you to take more than one attack of opportunity against a creature for a given action.
---------------------
We don't have to grab all of it, but you can see where I'm going with this (I think there is more even more stuff we can combine) :D
Now add some trips to this, and it becomes even nastier...

Thyra Osouf |

Ooooh... Paired Opportunist would work really well between Cameron and Thyra. I'll be taking Divine Fighting Technique, which will provide Thyra with this:
Whenever you wield a warhammer, add your Wisdom bonus to the total number of attacks of opportunity that you can make per round. These additional attacks of opportunity don’t stack with those granted by Combat Reflexes, but this benefit counts as Combat Reflexes for the purpose of satisfying feat prerequisites and prestige class requirements. In addition, you can make attacks of opportunity while you’re flat-footed.
... Which will eventually provide the following:
Advanced Benefit: Once per round, before you make an attack of opportunity with a warhammer, you can declare an opportunistic strike. If the attack hits, you can apply the effects of your Vital Strike feat. You can apply the Improved Vital Strike or Greater Vital Strike feat instead if you have either of those feats. If you confirm a critical hit with an opportunistic strike, you can attempt a disarm or trip combat maneuver check against the target as a free action—this combat maneuver does not provoke an attack of opportunity.
Edit: Honestly, they all look like they would work well together.

Hedran |

The only thing is, a lot of these feats revolve around threatening the opponent, and being adjacent to your ally who has the same feat - including Paired Opportunists.
And standing adjacent to an ally, both threatening the same opponent, when one has a reach weapon and the other does not, can be tricky...

Thyra Osouf |

It can, but there are ways around that.

GM Dak |

Just wanted to post this in all my games. Please bare with me over the next month. Some life stuff has complicated my schedule so my posting is a bit slower than usual if you haven't noticed :D.
Long story short, I'm not in my usual office at work, my work hours have changed for the summer and I have one of my graduate classes that meets 2 nights a week for 5 hours each night. Suffice to say its a little hectic. I will do my best to get in at least one post a day but it may be ever other day at least for the next few weeks.

![]() |

Thanks for the update. I hope things ease up for you soon.
It's probably not the worst timing for me--my family is doing a road trip to Yosemite and southern CA June 15-25, and I will be posting minimally during that time.

Thyra Osouf |

I'm sure summer will be chaotic, time-wise, for everyone as some point. Do what you've gotta do, and make sure you make it through in one piece. :)

Nessa Meretrix |

I'll be going to Origins this coming week so after I leave for work on Tuesday posting will be sparse/non-existent until I get back on Sunday. Please bot me as needed.

![]() |

Hey all,
I just wanted to let you know I'll be on a road trip with limited internet access from today through June 26 (we're hitting Yosemite, Sequoia, Newport Beach, and the new Star Wars Land at Disney before it opens).
Please bot me, as necessary!

Thyra Osouf |

Welcome back! :)

Thyra Osouf |

Huzzah!

Cameron Hawkwinter |

Doubt it makes any difference but I misread combat reflexes, it grants number of additional attacks of opportunity per round equal to your Dexterity bonus. This means Cameron gets up to 3 AOOs per round.
One other small thing I forgot to mark Cameron's channel energies back to zero after resting. He currently has 3 available, something tells me they'll be needed!

Thyra Osouf |

No worries. It's that time of year. ;)

Thyra Osouf |

Sounds good to me.

![]() |

Hey all,
Big apologies, but the last few days have been way too busy for me to get on to post. I probably won't be able to catch up until Monday.
