I think I've got to just follow along under the balcony. No idea what's going on and if I attack anything I'm just too likely to hit a party member. In the future, with people who can't see anything, might be good to say what's happening when things are changing, especially bringing a crazed monkey into melee range :)

Only thing I can think is if I'd be able to tell better from the sounds of combat (especially with Dalamus getting attacked, or if anyone said anything to indicate where an enemy is)? Or Tike, does a perception check let me know that I can "sense" someone, or just give me an idea?

Just in case, here's the round, but I'll only do this if there's no risk of shooting an ally. If I could hit someone in the party I'll just draw my shield, use a standard action for total defense (this would put my ac to 33 with dex, 23 without and move with Sam:

Round 1 || Initiative 10 || 73/82 hp || AC 25

Nemoris grunts in pain as he's hit.
Can anyone do something to light things up?

Can I tell what this darkness is, and why the torches aren't working? What about checking to see what direction I'm being attacked from?

Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

If I can't do anything with that to help I'll lob off some shots into the square I think has the best chance of being a foe:
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 Damage: 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24 Miss:1d100 ⇒ 10 Crit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 Damage: 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17 Miss:1d100 ⇒ 87 Crit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 Damage: 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24 Miss:1d100 ⇒ 29 Crit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Possible crit damage rolls: 24 + 2d8 + 32 ⇒ 24 + (6, 5) + 32 = 67 and 17 + 2d8 + 32 ⇒ 17 + (3, 8) + 32 = 60

Misc: point blank, rapid fire, and deadly aim being used. Take off +1 to hit and damage if outside of 30 feet

Yeah, so fighting blind is always tricky. A perception check is required to determine what you're shooting at whether you're blind or it's invisible. If we were using a real-time map where I could hide it from you, I'd tell you which square you think it's in and generally you'd know where your buddies are. Based on that, if your perception check is successful, I'll allow you to shoot in the right square with the 50% miss. If it's not, it'll just be 100% miss with no chance for friendly fire

Male Human R:1/F:8/DSniper:2 - || 115 hp || AC: 28 (T:18 FF:23) F13 / R11 / W6

Perfect, thanks Tike! That was my main worry. Not sure if 16 on my perception check is high enough (probably not), but just didn't want to risk blowing a friend up.

I will use my tail grab my wand of Pro evil, use it on myself and take a 5' step up and try and shove Dalamus behind me. I would also like to use total defense for this round

"We could use some magical light of some sort, it's a darkness spell, we can counter it with a bright enough magical light source"

Balcony Round 1

Sam, Magma, Epik, Jenya, Nowzai, Nemoris, Dalamus, Angha

Darkvision:
Sam activates protection from evil and moves up encouraging Dalamus to move behind him. (Dalamus will still have a 5' step available, so he can move back if he wishes, however Sam cannot activate a wand and use total defense in the same round since they are both standard actions)

Magma leaves the humans in the darkness of the corridor and heads back to the fight, but the giant gorilla casually knocks aside the warrior's clumsy blow.

Nowzai, still on the balcony overlooking the slowly developing melee, begins to cast a summoning spell.

Dalamus draws his blade and disappears from view drawing a grin from the gorilla. The creature speaks aloud before lashing out with intense rage again at both Dalamus and Sam, and then stepping away after he does so.

For those without Darkvision (some things repeated from above):

Magma moves away from Epik and Jenya dropping Epik's hand as the stonechilde returns to the melee, leaving them in the darkness. The humans take up a defensive posture.

Nemoris fires into the darkness but hears three clatters as his arrows strike stone without any reward. (Base Perception DC to locate is 20 plus 1 for every 10 feet separating you ... so a 21-22 roughly about now)

Dalamus draws his blade and activates a spell. A rumbling voice speaks in the local tribal language followed by growling and the rending of flesh. The half-elf feels the agonizing tear again, this time with additional viciousness.

Polygot:
"Man things always think they're too smart for us. I still see you elfling. I can still taste your blood on my teeth"

The hoots from deeper in the complex get louder, primarily from the northern passage.

The Dice:

Angha bite vs Dal: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17; HIT! (no Dex and -2 AC from blinded) Damage: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

Epik and Jenya, turn around and follow the sound of battle, you are in a narrow hallway, follow the wall and move! We have more company coming and we need a plan!. Nowzai, do you have a rope, if so give us a way to get up there man or get us back through that door!"

Male Fetchling Slayer 7/ Red Mantis 5

Tike, given the fact that i went before the Angha, he should have had to deal with me being invisible....the 50% chance to hit that we have to roll, but I noticed he attacked me as if I had done nothing?

Dalamus, I actually did try and shove you behind me but I didn't notice that Tike put that under the Darkvision spoiler and you needed to take a 5' away from the creature behind me to get away, the thing does have reach though so it could potentially just reach over me and smack you.

I moved my token up the 5' from last round, so I should be in range now to attack with another 5's

Also I had rolled my check to know what this thing was before you finally posted what it was, I would have not done flaming blade if I had known he had fiendish resistances, I would have done frost if you will allow it

I will cast Frigid Touch and take a swing.

To Hit - 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31

Let me know if it has SR, and then let me know what I need to roll to over come SR :)

OK will do, do you want me to just start rolling SR every time I cast or will you just tell me when something has SR after I cast? I am assuming we are going to be running into more and more with SR.

Caster Check - 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Map now updated

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

You didn't say anything about him moving in the last round, so he should still be within a 5' of me so I should be able to get my full attack action and spell off on him in this round

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 10 / Loremaster 4

Thinking on the fly, Nowzai adjusts a few syllables to his summoning and as he completes the spell, 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 lantern archons appear in the air around the chamber. They immediately begin to pelt the angazhani with beams of light.

DM, up to you whether the light rays create enough of a strobe / disco ball for the others to see by, even if in limited fashion.

Lantern Archon One 1 (ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 {miss}
Lantern Archon One 2 (ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25; Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Lantern Archon Two 2 (ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 {miss}

Lantern Archon Three 1 (ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13; Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Lantern Archon Three 2 (ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24; Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Lantern Archon Four 1 (ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19; Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Lantern Archon Four 2 (ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23; Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

One 2 Confirm Critical: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9; Damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Nowzai permits himself a momentary grin as the archons barrage the demon ape. He quickly refocuses and hurls a bolt of sonic energy at the foe.

Lesser Orb of Sound (ranged touch): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Confirm Critical: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Spell resistance N/A

I don't understand your rationale, but if you would've used frost instead of fire based on that info, feel free to swap it

I actually forgot until you asked ... missed it on Nowzai's swap-o spell

In general, I'll tell you all on your first spell and then ask you to roll from there on out. You wouldn't know before that, necessarily... may, depending on knowledge results

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

I was just thinking that most fiends are immune/heavily resistant to fire, not all are to cold, at least I think not all are, I could be completely wrong

Female Human Priestess of Iomedae 10

Nope, she's blind

Balcony Round 2

Sam, Magma, Epik, Jenya, Nowzai, Nemoris, Dalamus, Angha

Sam rushes forward, frost imbued blade leading the way, ducking under the beast's opportune swing and jams his blade into it's chest. A web of frost expands from the strike and the creature, while intially ignoring the cold, grunts in pain as it expands and he slows to a sluggish speed, staggering about.

Magma rails from afar hitting the beast, who shrugs off most of the blows, but Magma can see some effect from where he hits. Epik, now able to see, moves in next to him and up to the creature. The giant gorilla is still able to swat him with a bloody claw as he rushes by, gouging him deeply.

Jenya takes tentative steps as she follows the wall back around, ending up near Dalamus.

Nowzai summons a cadre of archons who swirl around the ape, firing rays of light causing him to bellow in anger, allowing Nemoris and Jenya to see their surroundings for a few fleeting seconds.

The archer takes aim ...
