The only response is the patter of rain falling softly on the stone battlements, diluting the pools of blood from the fallen.

While I appreciate your martial spirit Mistress Lizzie, we might want to consider the possibilities here. Momijii is badly wounded. We should get Winter to see to her.

I'm going to hold off on resolving Luxina's actions. Once you've decided if you're retreating or not, please let me know by posting some actions.
Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa
Agrippa will move to the forward battlements, to see what happened at the gate.
Luxina Tenebris
Luxina holds her tools at the ready but waits with opening the door as the others of the group suddenly seem to be debating.
"Well I'm still ready to go on for a bit more time. I agree with Lizzie though, certainly anyone who is now still hiding will probably escape. Wasn't it our intention to rid this fort of its current inhabitants?"
Filbert Springbit
"There's a difference in killing the rat in your trap and turning it loose to return again later. Nothing I've seen here bodes well if we allow it's escape."
Momijii
Momijii accepted the draft from Heinrich and quaffed it. The substance stiched a few of her injuries closed but not many. When Filbert offered his form of healing as well she accepted it. She gritted her teeth as she felt flesh knitting together in a not so pleasant way and though she felt better she was still battered. The thought of pushing forward again wasn't a particularly good one to her but she'd been through worse and said, "We need to finish this now. Waiting only makes this harder."
Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa
Agrippa shrugs. As you wish... he gazes out over the front gate anxious to see if the Sleepless Detectives were still there.
DM Fang Dragon
The companions head up the stairs to the Donjon finding it locked. Luxina initially struggles to spring it open before forcing herself to relax and concentrate. Then the lock opens easily. The party burst in to find a room furnished with a double bed, two chests of drawers, a small table, and a couple of stools. The room also contains a bulky steel safe, its door standing open. A cold fireplace occupies the northeast corner, the shutters of the three windows here have been torn from their hinges and lie broken on the floor. The smell of briny water is strong in the still air!
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 <--- NO!
The source is soon rapidly apparent, for skulking behind the bed is a tall alien looking deep one, her slimy skin dripping with mucus. Next to her sands an equally slimy guard! The woman snarls, "Drylanders! You shall drown in your own blood."

Momijii follows up on the opening forged by Luxina and hits with a powerful 1-2 combo which rocks the female deep one back several steps.
Filbert summons up a powerful blast but it proves unwieldy, blowing a small bedside cabinet to fragments.
Recovering from the shock, the female deep one snarls before biting a large chunk out of Momijii's shoulder, "Delicious! I shall enjoy devouring you." Her claws rake Lizzie, sneaking past her shield and armor.

Momijii gave a cry of pain as the deep one woman took a bite out of her. She looked on in disgust as the flesh was swallowed and gave a roar of anger as she lashed out at the male trying to dodge past her.

Deciding that it was time to try and do something to show these fools who they were dealing with Momijii gave a masterful flurry of attacks, each one pulled just before striking to show how in control of this situation she was. It was rather intimidating that she could come so close so quickly and actually choose not to strike. Or at least she hoped it was.

I've been waiting for Luxina :(
Lizzie's mace impacts the woman with a sickening THWACK causing contusions and abrasions. She calls on the gods and her touch heals some of her wounds.
Heinrich stands ready to deflect any attacks from the woman aimed at Momijii.
With the male deepone too close for comfort, Luxina drops her crossbow and lashes out with her club but he dodges easily.

Meanwhile Momijii heedless of the carnivorous deep one trying to eat her, does a seriously impressive segment of shadow cata. Both the deep ones seem taken aback. However the female licks her lips and darts forwards, taking another larger bite out of Momijii! She moans with the pleasure of devouring such sweet tasting flesh as her claws seek Lizzie's neck. Lizzie smashes the deepone woman again with her mace, who screams in pain as her ribs are smashed and her lungs fill with blood. Woozily she manages to stand as the plucky little gnome calls on the gods for aid one more. Several smaller wounds close as her hand briefly glows blue with radiance.
Heinrich steps past Filbert and tries to stab the male, but his blade is batted aside. Luxina also cautiously tries to attack the guard, but he simply side steps her club. Once more Filbert sends a bone shatteringly powerful blast careening into the male, who has blood running freely down it's side now.
Just Momijii now.
Momijii
Momijii was in a bad spot with a deep one on either side of her and she knew it. She couldn't take another bite like that last one and be sure of survival so she drew on her ki and moved with increased speed sending an astounding flurry of blows out. She moved from a dragon snap into right and left claws as she struck at the deep one woman with determination to take her down.

Momijii's side kick caught the female deepone in the sternum, smashing ribs and sending her flying. Blood dribbled down her face as she gurgled, "You tasted. Delicious..." Her body fought to draw in one last painful last breath before she became still, forever staring vacantly into the middle distance.
Pivoting on one foot Momijii flipped around and lightly stepped towards the male. She lashes out with a powerful 1-2 combo, knocking him silly. It was with considerable surprise to you all when he simply dissolved into a puddle of grey goo rather than simply fall down dead. Apparently there was more to him than meets the eye.
COMBAT OVER
You are close to leveling up now, perhaps 1-2 more encounters but I'd strongly recommend healing up first!
Filbert Springbit
"Nice work Momijii, sorry about the two bites that witch got in." looking at the puddle in the floor with a tilted head Filbert touches the toe of his boot to it. "Wonder what this thing was"

NICE ARMOR FOR LIZZIE!!!!!!!
Agrippa nods at the hardworking gnome Excellent work Master Springbit. and then These should prove useful. as he takes the keyring.
Agrippa checks the nearby door to see if any new foes have presented themselves on the battlements. If not he moves down the nearby stairs and checks that door.
GM from the map I'm guessing that the room we were in was 1 floor up from the battlements and the western door in the little tower is on the battlement level...that's the door I'm checking
Lizzie "beads" Tamar
That is some shiny armor of awesome. O_O
Lizzie is very relieved, with the immediate threat over, and wounds healing.
"Thank you, Filbert.
....
Geez...no shortage of ill itent bearing inhabitants in this place."
The revelation of the beautiful armor, makes Lizzie's eyes shine.
"That piece of mail...it's, beautiful."
She inspects its size.
"OH! It's even my size."
DM Fang Dragon
Don't forgot we are using ABP so while Lizzie can get the bonus on smite AC at level 1, she can't get the AC bonus Vs everything till her granted bonus reaches +2. I'm actually beginning to think ABP is a mistake for this AP given what happens in book 3 (no peaking it will spoil it for you). I may shift to an alternative that works well in other PBPs: virtual loot. Basically when you level up we just assume you found your WBL in loot, with no item costing more than 1/3 WBL. You can exchange stuff out as you please when you level up. I will hand out some rare occasional loot too which will temporarily push you over WBL. This means we can forget the tedium of tracking loot but still have neat stuff now and then.
DM Fang Dragon
I've move you outside to the door Agrippa wanted to inspect.
Agrippa findd the door unlocked. Inside the room is furnished with a large table, a few comfortable chairs, and a standing mirror. The room appears reasonably clean compared to the rest of the fort. A fireplace sits cold in the corner, and a pile of books and folios is spread across the table. There are steps leading down and another door leading out to the battlements.

Luxina looks over the ring of keys found among the loot and looks at it to discern if its magical.

Yes you can too.
Luxina Tenebris
As Luxina rifles through the pages a flicker of something in the corners of her eyes draws her attention.
"Hmm?" Luxina looks up from the papers and looks at Heinrich.
"Did you see that? Something seemed to move either in the mirror or behind it."
Luxina draws her torch and moves closer to the mirror to see if she can illuminate anything behind it.
