For reference hereis the archetype I plan to use. Honestly, as far as the archetype goes, I would be just as content to keep the abilities I lose and have only the altered spell casting. That being said it would be a little...odd.

I'll be primarily a caster, my phantom will be able to tank some as she'll be incorporeal and have a lot of con. My Spiritualist class is going to focus largely on support/healing spells while the sorcerer spells are going to be a mix of illusion, divination (very few), and evocation. I won't be great at combat for a few levels but I can do face work due to high charisma.

The phantom will soak & dish out only in ectoplasm form. Aside from delivering touch spells, they're 'harmless' in incorporeal.

I am aiming for a skill/knowledge pc, in relation to lift crystal engineering. But am atm at a loss whether it would be better to combine 1 3/4 bab with another 3/4 utility, or a full bab martial.

Ah but mine has an efect that forces an enemy to target it instead of me. Not a true tank but it can be helpful.

Alluring Presence (Su) A phantom with this focus can coerce enemies to attack it. As an immediate action, the phantom attempts a Diplomacy check against a creature targeting the spiritualist with an attack or harmful spell, provided the phantom is within the target creature’s reach (or range, if the creature is attacking with a ranged weapon or spell). The DC for this check equals 10 + 1/2 the attacking creature’s HD + the attacking creature’s Wisdom modifier. If successful, the phantom becomes the target of all the creature’s attacks for 1 round. This is a mind-affecting compulsion emotion effect.

I will also be taking Antagonize on the phantom which can force an enemy to attack her.

Historically ironwood has been used for construction although destroyers are often clad with iron or increasingly mithril. Some particularly fast scout ships are constructed entirely out of mithril.

Re the phantom can you give me an example of what is lost and gained? I'm not really up to speed on spiritualists. I also reserve the right to edit antagonise if it gets too much.

@Lizzie most folks go for full bab one one side but let's see what the number say. At say level 10 a full bab is plus +10 to hit and 3/4 is +7 so +3 lower. Bards have inspire which bumps this up to +9 and other buffs. Biggest down side is for feat requisites. Which classes where you thinking of trying?

Ok so I'm hoping to wind this game down gracefully, not quite sure how long thats going to take. I have several ideas for how that could be done but I'd like to avoid forcing a particular solution. It would be helpful if somebody could make the int check although I have a contingency in mind if not.

Let it be known there are ways out of the situation that don't involve character death. One you might be able to guess, others involve plot elements that would normally be revealed in later books.

I've played Cult of the Ebon Destroyer before and it was a fun plot.

Even thought it had it's rocky points and we called it early this has been one of my better games and one of the very few that didn't end because the GM/Players just vanished one day. I like the way this ended for us, a great way to wrap it up, and I had a good time. Thank you for running it for us.
