The Bookplate of Recall! If we didn't sell it yet, we could offer him that! He would probably drool for it! It's worth 1000 gp! He should at least take that much off his price too! We can sell the challenger's gloves too for the rest of the gold we need and buy the materials needed. The gloves are worth 2200 and we can split the rest of the overage among ourselves and the rebellion.
Rocco is our treasure-keeper. Let's hear from him on this?
GM? Would the proffessor accept the Magical bookplate plus 500 gps?

Rocco Hardweather |

That sounds like a good trade. An academic like the professor would definitely find value in being able to summon up a book of his choice at any time. Seems like we should be able to give him the extra 500gp out of the rebellion's treasury too. Let's give it a shot!

Oren Mitabu |

I have 672 gold on me now, so I can kick in a good portion of the gold. Anyone else flush with gold now?

Oren Mitabu |

I just went ahead and paid the 300 extra gold, if that’s cool. Let’s get the papers and get moving with the plan!

Lirotha Karsani |

Basic plan summary:
1. Ready our disguises and positions and get the wagon. However long that takes.
2. Disguises: (Suggested)
Morricone - Asmodean Inquisitor (or similar)
Rocco - Hired Wagon Driver
Oren, Lirotha, and Val - Asmodean Redactor/Monks
Talon - Armed and Armored Temple guard
Kurglunn - Invisible/Inside Rocco
Everyone, feel free to rummage in the loot list for appropriate stuff to aid your disguises that we have kept.
3. Once we are ready-prepped, we head to the jail and get the men out.
4. If all goes well, we load them into the wagon, get them out of the sight of the jail, and away. Either back to the hide-out or out of town to their leader. We should probably bring some blankets and some easy disguises (poor-man rags?) for the prisoners once we are out of sight of the jail.

All clear. Well done Lirotha!
As for myself let me add some words of sage advice
Are you ready to go?

Lirotha Karsani |

Ok...
Well with that said...Rocco, you want to pretend to be our 'Halfling' footman-Slave?

Oren Mitabu |

I’m ready. Site if acting up, so I’m not sure if my post will go through or not.

Rocco Hardweather |

Okay. That seems believable, I suppose. Maybe I can borrow my family's cart and just leave it in a nearby alley. I can come in as someone's servant.
Kurglunn will remain in Rocco's consciousness.

Lirotha Karsani |

Got it. It would only be believable if you were Morricone's servant I think.

Lirotha Karsani |

If the Charm catches the warden with any luck...we might just manage this quickly. Otherwise we may need to find a Dottari captain quickly.

Oren Mitabu |

I think we are going to have to go find a captain. The forgeries were pretty good...I don’t know how they get better. We are going to have to try them on some captain, I think.

![]() |

@Oren: The forgeries don't get better but the signature will be examined and a new linguistic check will be made.

Lirotha Karsani |

Val,
Your character info doesn't show spells memorized. Since you are out for a few days, can you list what you have ready so the GM can be able to bot you as needed?

Lirotha Karsani |

Awesome!
I hate to bot party members when they are important to the story currently.
Please read up on our current situation and let me know what you think is best for dealing with this blasted dog. I was hoping you could use Wild Empathy him or something like that.

![]() |

Welcome back Val. Sorry for slowing down. Sometimes I need you to make things more clear and interact a bit more though. I've said this before and I'll tell you again: don't worry overmuch about taking the initiative and suggesting actions. Barring stupid choices (like assaulting a patrol of hellknights in broad daylight or such) or terrible luck I'm not going to outright kill you for doing so.

Lirotha Karsani |

Understood. However, the circumstances of the current situation are delicate. Every choice and action we make closes off otherwise possible actions later in some cases: Example(Sneaking inside precludes knocking on the door later and trying to just convince the man to help us if we are discovered or evidence is left behind.) I don't mind suggesting actions, but I don't like to assume too much for others players or what you may want to say or allow about a unique situation as it occurs.

Don't worry, you are doing great Lirotha!

Rocco Hardweather |

Hey folks! I'm gonna be out of town starting this evening and running until Sunday evening, so posting will be sporadic at best. Please bot as needed!

Lirotha Karsani |

Hey guys!
I don't know if any of you are interested in this kind of stuff...
But my brother just started his new Kickstarter today for his Knife and Sword forge:

_Valrani |

I don't think it will be the silver raven statues. Didn't the proctor give us something, or the man we rescued from dog housing?
Sorry, taking kids off swimming now so no time to search through the pages.

The Hound Of Kintargo |

Sorry guys. Bit of a deadline crunch this week, along with a stray dog biting my left hand so typing is slow and difficult so won't be posting any long posts this week.

Lirotha Karsani |

Oh loardy...
Ummm....where are my notes again...?
Sorry, I was in the ER last night with my wife until 2:30AM. She's fine now, but I am up to my armpits in work to catch up before the weekend.
Either give me a day or so to put things together or someone else in the group is welcome to run this particular group of management checks...
@GM: Any new bonuses or penalties earned for this last adventure? (NOTE: I have not had time to read this last couple of game threads...)

Rocco Hardweather |

I'll go ahead and get us started, Lirotha! Glad your wife is doing alright. Just take your time to get yourself in a good place. I'm sure Elan will let me know if I've screwed anything up too badly. :P
UPKEEP PHASE
Loyalty vs Attrition: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Followers Lost: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Nice! Only lost 1 follow this week! That brings our total before Rebellion actions to 41.
ACTION PHASE
So, what three actions should we take? We're hovering pretty close to the minimum for our current rebellion rank, so I'd like to recruit some supporters for sure.
Any other recommendations?

Lirotha Karsani |

Sorry all for the sudden disappearance! This weekend suddenly became 'Family Time' all weekend and left me with little time or energy for games...although I WAS able to post a rumor roll. I hope it was a juicy one!
@Morricone: You can only gather ONCE for supporters per turn.
ALL: It would help if everybody actually read through the rebellion rules at least once. They are free to download.
We need to lower our Notoriety (it just keeps going up! That's bad news for us.)
And since we spent money from the group fund (a lot of it) we need to gather resources again in my opinion to maintain our funding.

Lirotha Karsani |

NOTE: We still need to actually do our actions for the week.
Currently: We should split up from here. Morri and Talon, with...Val maybe?...and should go inside and talk to the mother and maybe the smith too. They can make a pretense of 'inspecting' the building or some similar thing...and pay the woman for the privilege of course if needed.
The rest of us should start scouring the neighborhood for rumors and possible evidence. Try to pinpoint the location in the daytime where the kids went missing.
Agreed? Options? Something I didn't think of?

_Valrani |

I'm happy for Val to be either on the streets or inside. If there is trouble on the streets she is probably better suited to dealing with it. Then again if there is trouble in the house..
Happy to keep the groups even, so inside is good, she has already been seen after all.

Rocco Hardweather |

REBELLION ACTIONS: Yeah, I think reducing our Notoriety and Earning Gold will be good actions for this round. Let's just hope we gain some followers after this event or we'll be at serious risk of losing a rank.
CURRENT: Rocco will go inside where he can apply his stealth and Kurglunn's ability to phase through walls to do some scouting and such.

Rocco Hardweather |

By the way, the loot tracker is updated after our last little venture. I was initially thinking we didn't get a whole lot out of it in terms of wealth, but after researching how much that klar and Sabinus's short sword cost...well, let's just say I had a change of heart.

_Valrani |

By the way I'm going to be on an extensive holiday later in the year.
When we get to the end of the current book, I think it would be best for Valrani to step back from the AP for at least a chapter or two.

Lirotha Karsani |

@Val: Understandable...but its up to the GM really. He may want to simply bot you while you are gone.
@Rocco: The Mithral shortsword is really a good choice to keep IMHO. Its easily enchant-able and the Mithral works as Silver against Devils and similar creatures! The Klar...it's basically an exotic small spiked shield. The fact its enchanted for both protection and offense is really nice however. I'm not sure who would take it except Oren (for defensive reasons) or Talon (great look for a Vigilante! A Klar BTW, resembles a giant lizard skull with a sharp spearpoint basically sticking out of its forehead. Most are made of bone, but in this case, its all metal.

Oren Mitabu |

If I wielded the klar, I could still make all my unarmed attacks with my other hand, feet, head, etc., correct?

Rocco Hardweather |

Yes you could, Oren. That's one of the great things about brawlers - you get all the "always armed" benefits of the monk without the restriction on armor!
