The “Misgivings” is the local name for Foxglove Manor, a region
shunned by locals for years as a place of shadowy menace, bad luck,
and haunts. No one travels the road to the Misgivings today.
Lord Foxglove made attempts to rebuild and reclaim the place, but found few willing to work in the region due to its ill history.

Korbin blinks. Seems there is more than Goblins after all. He shakes it off, putting down the mead, instead pouring himself something from the absinthe bottle. "Well," he starts, "lot to take in, ain't it? Ne'er heard of a 'devil dog' before, don't mean I ain't interested. What's the next step, big-man? Gonna' knock some sense to this Ryu kid? Squash a few stirges? Didn't walk sixty miles to protect a town already saved and drink away me abbey savings."


The drinks arrive for Brin, Alkaid and Idril at their respective tables soon followed by the delicious luncheon meal that you ordered.


Father Abstalar Zantus, carrying a full platter, paused when next to Midori's table.
"Midori my dear! I want to congratulate you on your betrothal and I'm looking forward to the wedding next month!" he said jovially.


Ameiko's song stops as she shrieked with glee. She dove off the stage and tackled Midori.
"EEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeee! You're getting married! Who is it? When? Why didn't you TELL me?!"


Belor Hemlock burst through the door.
"There's a pirate attack down at the docks! Everybody able to bear arms turn out!" He shouted in a bellowing voice before rushing out again.
Faintly off in the distance you can hear screaming.

Turning to the diminutive creature on her head, she says "Hiro, go see what's happening and report back to me with anything you can find out about these pirates!"


Hiro comes rocketing back just when Midori emerges from the doorway.:

"Mistress! It looks like the pirates took over a merchantman and overwhelmed the docks when they tied up. Now half of them have secured the harbor while the others are rampaging through the town!
"But mistress, I think they're a distraction! I flew up high, and I saw two more ships flying the flag of Clegg Zincher, one of the Crimelords of Riddleport coming into the harbor! They'll be here in minutes with five times more men!"

Korbin's beard-fists smash together, one fist over the other. "Seem's the rest of the drinks'll wait." Korbin follows Rafael, though his stubby legs make him trail behind. "You from behind, me from front, aye?" The beard-arms pump forward in back in a running motion, Korbin's arms crossed underneath. He watches Brin stride across the town. Think he might be an honest one if I knew one. Wonder how much bigger a spell'll make em.


HIRO'S STRATEGIC OVERVIEW OF SOUTH SANDPOINT INITIAL

Outside the Rusty Dragon, the Sheriff takes a dozen good men and true and heads West along Market street towards the market square. You see them clashing with a gaggle of pirates there.
Ameiko shouts for aid and heads straight East along Market street towards a bridge along with a dozen of her fans and drunken patrons. You see her mixing it up with another pirate crewe that way.

But before you can follow one or the other, a yelling mob of pirates swarms out of the south from Salmon street.

You can chase after Sheriff Hemlock, go help Ameiko, retreat into the Rusty Dragon, or stand and fight.
What do you do?

TACTICAL OVERVIEW.


Sim exits behind the others, taking time to draw his weapon and entering running hunters stance for extra speed and scent before leaving the tavern. He sees the pirates are already this far into town, and decides to take a stand here so as not to allow them any further.

Stand fast. Let us dispatch these villains before they harm any innocents. he evaluates the enemy quickly.

On his turn, he uses a move action (due to effortless aid) to aid Alkaid and improve her AC by 3 (helpful trait) until his next turn. But failed.
Then, he turns his attention towards 17 and 15, cutting with an efficient scything strike to attack them both with one stroke But his run of bad luck continues, and he missed both.

You can see that the Sheriff is heavily engaged to your West, and Ameikos crowd is stalled out in a nasty fight to the East.

"Shall we split up and help both groups? "Seems like it. Good thing we arrived when he did." Korbin listens for the screams. While he look around, he notices the damage on Brin. Korbin casts a spell. Still need to keep an eye on the brute. Makin' em bigger proved effective, should give the pirates hell.

rafael went east to help ameiko, Brin followed, so if you're following Brin, you are going east too... so it looks like all the heavy hitters went east.. Midori went west to help the sheriff... she's the only one to do so, so far. I'm hoping most of the rest go west as well so we don't leave the sheriff in a bind.
