SECTION TWO: Strolling through the Howlings
The winter portal has closed, but the heroes now find themselves trapped in the frozen land of Irrisen with an urgent quest—to find Baba Yaga! In order to track down the missing Queen of Witches, the heroes must brave the monster-infested capital city of Whitethrone, where Baba Yaga’s Dancing Hut has been captured and put on display. Will possession of the miraculous artifact lead them to the Witch Queen, or will they die a cold death at the hands of Irrisen’s White Witches?

i held off at selling the endure elements potions unless you really want to sell them off. the cure potions and scrolls seemed handy too. it amounts to 210gp each. from 3,262gp each down to 3,052gp each.

for anyone keeping track :
liquid assets: 1,684gp (coins & art) + 3,052gp (share from sellable magic items)
winter witch gear: 658gp (so far unsellable)
unesllable magic items: 2,660gp.

still totals ~8,270gp per person

[ooc]will give it a "day" in game to reconsider any of the sold items then i'll consider it finalized.


I was updating my character sheet with the loot list (minus what's apparently been sold in the last post, which were three scrolls I don't intend to use anyway), and I was looking at that Cauldron that hasn't been identified yet. If it's this one, it might be cool for me to use. I can pack a Summon once a day by now. but it might be a bit of a bother to track for the GM. Should I use it?
Also, I noted the +2255 gold, is that still right, post-selling?

it is that cauldron, indeed. if you wanna use it, go ahead and get it for the discount. i was counting it sold in waldsby, but logistically its no difference if you take it as part of your share and just swap it out some of your gold in hand.

+2255, i think that was before selling what you could at Waldsby, so it'd be +2255 + 3052 from what was actually sold in town. if in doubt, you should be able to total your share and be around 8,270gp value.

the sled is very full of the mundane gear, the winter witch guard armor, weapons, etc.
so if you ever have to ditch and run, its all in one place. but its a very incriminating piece of evidence if the witches or guards catch you with it all.

I think it's correct. The snowshoes I got were 4300, and the Cloak for 1000, and then some potions, scrolls, and the like.

can totally bury it. in fact if you wanted to bury it in the pocket of spring, the ground is a lot easier to dig, it doesn't work out to too much of value for you guys anyway. if you want to do that, i'm ok with it. once the pocket of spring expires, it'll freeze up and get covered with snow again , with nearly no sign of your passage / hidden treasure.

Nope. Was in a 737-900 that had just entered service. Really weird to see the wings flex into a shallow "U" in flight. Must be the carbon fiber.

I have! I rarely change my cantrips, my standard loadout is Light, Stabilize, Guidance, Read Magic. Perhaps I should switch the latter out for Create Water. >_>

Someone can probably identify it, but this is a nice guaranteed way of knowing what scrolls we find.

the big picture

a nice hat for a ranger or tracker. the +5 comp on survival is cool. but to just give a bonus on saves vs. cold... kinda lame for not at least conferring endure elements at that price.
