i don't mind running caladan. but it takes away from a 4th impartial player that you could have, who actually thinks about their character, and buys stuff and so on. We're very close to done with the PFS credit portion. i think after that there may be a chance to introduce someone.
once a day would be fine i think. someone you know may be better / keep interest in the campaign going

this may make it... difficult, to introduce new players who don't want to assume control over one of the two npcs. but there are ways to transfer this. so its not inescapable.

:O That's a sweet boon right there. Will that boon transfer to new characters if the old ones die/are replaced, or are they just out of luck?
Also, to my party members: I'm not sure what to do with Giacomo. I like him as he is right now, but I didn't really have plan for him. That +2 to a stat boost can go in multiple directions: DEX for better archery (if that's necessary), CON because I'm rocking a 12 right now and I feel kinda frail, WIS because I'm at 14 and I'll need to upgrade eventually (though that's more of a long-term plan), or CHA for more channels. Or hell, even upgrade my STR to 12 for slightly better melee skills.
Related to that, should I invest in Point-Blank Shot (and eventually Precise Shot at 5)? My arrows aren't fantastic, me being small and all, and if that stupid wind is everywhere I'm not sure if archery's a viable tactic (meaning I'll take a -4 on all ranged attack rolls). On the other hand, I don't have a real plan for him, so I don't really know where to take him otherwise. Maybe take some Channel feats or something.

I'd say either WIS or DEX, archery is very viable but needs a lot of feats as well. Since you lack strength Deadly Aim almost seems obligatory in that case. WIS is a safe bet since bonus spells is always good.

Oh, that reminds me I still haven't updated my gold total from last level up (post-Rohkar). I'm still at my starting gold. >_>
With that gold and the +2 stat levelup I can maybe buy a composite longbow +1, for a 1d6+1 damage. >_>
Also, to my teammates: maybe it's good to buy a Wand of CLW if that's possible, so I don't spend all my spells on keeping you upright and we can adventure for longer than two fights per day. Just a suggestion, but I'm getting tired of having to convert my spells to cures instead of being actually useful.

you manage to buy it from a shockingly blue haired gnome woodworker. Hes heldrens carpenter, and from the look of the fantastical gingerbread design, hes also the bowyer that forged dryden kepps mwk shortbow. The small longbow and the shortbow even look like near twins. Same size and similar designs, just the grips balanced and woven to rest comfortably in hand.

no wand available unless you go to a larger town. heldren is a small town of 170 people with a purchase limit of 500gp except for the noted items. they're currently freaking out about the encroaching weather and haven't anyone capable of crafting wands, their blacksmith has been busy making weapons and arms for you guys. the small bow is the town's best woodworker's private bow =/ he's also +0 str so its easier to manage.
a mwk +2 str comp longbow would be 600gp. and a wand is 750gp base, not stuff a town this size can get a hold of quickly, and waiting around isn't an option, going a week astray may kill you.

technically the purchase limit in town is 2,500gp. the town can't buy any single items worth more than that. The yeti cloak was purchased by Lady Argentea, skirting that restriction. In the four days or so since she was rescued, she's had four platinum ingots transported in to pay for it (500gp value each). That also means they can't purchase the spear of manhunting in town though either, so someone gets to keep using the size changing boar spear, whether you want to or not. caladan can possibly hold it in lieu of his morningstar, its a simple weapon. giacomo could also use it?
if we look at the total of what can be sold, and what has been paid for
your share of what you just brought back is 1,107gp, 7gp, 8cp instead of the roughly 1,500gp the T-rex quoted you before.
If you haven't spent anything since the start, your share should be 2,701.58gp, roughly half of which is coins & goods listed below.
i realized ten-penny doesn't have cold weather gear on her sheet, and she's open to using them so she'll take as part of her share the backpack, snowshoes and cold weather outfit.
as far as raw found wealth? campaign to date everyone but ten-penny is entitled to:
( some at 1/4 share before hiring ten-penny, some at 1/5 share after )

I do. Mainly because of this ability:
Legacy Weapon (Su): As a standard action, you can expend 1 point of mental focus and touch a weapon to grant it an enhancement bonus. The bonus is equal to 1 + 1 for every 6 occultist levels you possess (to a maximum of +4 at 18th level). Enhancement bonuses gained by this ability stack with those of the weapon, to a maximum of +5. You can also imbue the weapon with any one weapon special ability with an equivalent enhancement bonus less than or equal to your maximum bonus by reducing the granted enhancement bonus by the appropriate amount. The item must have an enhancement bonus of at least +1 (from the item itself or from legacy weapon) to gain a weapon special ability. In either case, these bonuses last for 1 minute.
