Appario's laughing as he swings causes him to only make a weak hit compared to his usual strikes, and the Tiefling, despite being covered in blood, still stands.

The spellcaster continues to step gingerly around the edges of the room, again sending a magic missile Appario's way.
The missile deals 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 damage.

Current Initiative order:

21 - Tieflings
19 - Appario
17 - Vethamer
15 - Semenya
14 - Rogues and Palaveen
13 - Eklektos and Theron
9 - Derek

>>>Current Map<<<

Up next: Semenya (who can also take a move action for the previous turn).

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

"So, what does that make me," she pulls her crossbow off her back, "in your little play?" She steps into the stirrup and pulls the string back. " A kinder portrayal than poor Desdemona got, I hope?" She sets the bolt in and aims at the spellcaster.

(I'll be holding my standard action to shoot the spellcaster if he starts an incant or use a wand.)

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

"It's a little hard to tell, I thought we were playing an epic action drama, but it's quickly turning into a goofy buddy comedy, as such we would need a counter balance, likely you would get the role of "Only sane person" as it were."

The two Rogues attack Derek and Theron again, then step away.

Short sword attack #1 (vs Derek): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Short sword attack #2 (vs Theron): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Short sword damage #1: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Short sword damage #2: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Ouch; two potential criticals.

Potential critical vs Derek: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Potential critical vs Theron: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Critical damage vs Derek: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Critical damage vs Theron: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Derek takes 6 damage from his Rogue's attack, while Theron takes 11 damage from the Tiefling's expertly applied strike.

Eklektos hopes the potion he was unable to identify is beneficial, and feeds it to Derek before stepping closer to Theron.

Cure moderate wounds: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (8, 6) + 3 = 17

Not wanting to leave the strike unanswered, the big cat rips into the Rogue in front of him again.

Bite attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Claw attack #1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Claw attack #2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Bite damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Claw damage #1: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Claw damage #2: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Unfortunately, all of Theron's attacks miss.

Up next: Derek.

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

"How rude, we were having an interesting philosophical discussion here, if you don't mind?"

Derek moves a little back, drops his mace and retrieves his rapier once more, feeling more confident he grins at the tiefling with shattered teeth.

"Now you will see some swashbuckling indeed."

Inspire courage 6/9, now in M12

The three crossbow-wielding Tieflings load and fire, all standing still. Two fire at Theron, while one fires at Eklektos.

Crossbow attack #1 (vs Theron): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17 (-4 penalty for shooting into melee applied)
Crossbow attack #2 (vs Theron): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7 (-4 penalty for shooting into melee applied)
Crossbow attack #3 (vs Eklektos): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Crossbow damage #1: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Crossbow damage #2: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Crossbow damage #3: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Theron takes 4 damage from one bolt and is now bleeding profusely. The other two bolts miss.

Map as in previous post except Derek is now in M12.

Up next: Appario, and Semenya's readied action (since the spellcaster will try to cast a spell on his action).

Male Human (Taldan) Abadaran Militant 12

Appario admits that the mage is really killing the mood in here.
Stepping to 010, Appario will begin hacking his way to end the threat, counting on his companions to keep his back free from attack.

Swinging at Rogue #3:
1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 1 = 19 to hit;
1d10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 1 = 14 damage.

Appario delights in Derek's ability to sing while also insulting his opponents at the same time. Truly, he is a talented multi-voice.

Appario's sword moves lightning-fast, and once it stops the Tiefling falls apart, looking like he didn't even see what hit him.

The spellcaster moves away from the approaching knight, then begins casting another magic missile, planning to hit Appario yet again.

>>>Current Map<<<

Up next: Semenya's readied action.

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

Semenya steps to M11, and lets fly with the crossbow.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
1d8 ⇒ 6

Male Human (Taldan) Abadaran Militant 12

Appario Lind wrote:

Whoops. Add +1 to that to-hit roll, and to the damage if AC 13 hits a difference.

The unarmored spellcaster finds a crossbow bolt stuck in his throat just as he's about to utter the final incantation of his spell, making it pretty hard for him to get the words right.

Concentration check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 (DC 18)

The mage gargles out the final word, but nothing happens.

The Rogue closest to the spellcaster throws caution to the wind and charges at Semenya.

Charge attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Charge damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

He stumbles as he makes his approach, and his swing is thrown off center as a result, causing it to miss.

Eklektos tries to smash the Rogue with his mace, then steps sideways to make room for Derek.

Mace attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Mace damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

The unfamiliar weapon still feels odd to Eklektos, and his attacks with it are inconsistent. This time, the mace just flails through the air.

Theron steps up and flurries at one of the crossbowmen.

Bite attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Claw attack #1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Claw attack #2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Bite damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Claw damage #1: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Claw damage #2: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Making mince-meat out of the Tiefling as he rips it apart, Theron stands over the fallen crossbowman, looking intimidating.

Current Initiative order:

21 - Tieflings
19 - Appario
17 - Semenya
17 - Vethamer
14 - Rogues and Palaveen
13 - Eklektos and Theron
9 - Derek

Map coming in the next post.

Up next: Derek.

>>>Current Map<<<

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

Derek neatly dances around the tiefling with the broken teeth, trusting once more in his agility to avoid any blows.

"Excuse me, coming through. So this is how it feels to stand in line for tickets to one of my plays?"

He then lines up his target, crouches defensively and strikes out.

"All for one and more for you, pain that is. What, not witty enough for you? How about this then "knock knock. Who's there? Stab. Stab who? Stab you!"

Attack with combat expertise and flanking: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Ac:18, Inspire courage 7/9

The dancing and singing bard's mace deals the finishing blow to the Tiefling, who crumbles in a heap at his feet.

The two remaining crossbowmen both fire shots at Theron.

Crossbow attack #1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Crossbow attack #2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Crossbow damage #1: 1d8 ⇒ 6
Crossbow damage #2: 1d8 ⇒ 7

One bolt hits, causing Theron's blood-covered body to fall to the ground.

>>>Current Map<<<

Up next: Appario, then Semenya.

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

"What is this, animal cruelly night? Goes far to point out just how weak you all are, is it that my rapier wit has you all so flabbergasted you can't aim for toffee?"

Male Human (Taldan) Abadaran Militant 12

"Excuse me, Derek, you seem to be in my way. I have a matter to attend to. I really don't want to miss my cue."

Appario will saddle by Derek in N9, then move to O8, then to P8 (provoking from the mage).

Addressing the magic-user, Appario will nod and say "This is your curtain call." before trying to split the creatures head in twain.

1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 = 25 to hit;
1d10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7 damage.

Edit: Critical finish!

1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 1 = 16 to hit;
1d10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5 damage.

Is it a free action to bow to Derek? I'll take another AOO from the tief in Q8 behind me....

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

"Oooooh, can anyone say "melon"?"

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

Semenya steps up to P9, leaving her crossbow behind, attacking the Tiefling in Q8 - her hands turn into claws!

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Claw 1
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Claw 1 Damage
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 Claw 2
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Claw 2 Damage

"Derek, Appario, we should finish the spelled ones off soon."

No AoOs against Appario, since neither the mage nor the Tiefling wield melee weapons at the time.

Appario splits the mage's head in two, causing an effect like a melon bursting, while one of Semenya's claws gouge the other Tiefling's flesh.

The fascination-effect ends, and the two previously ensorcelled Tieflings take a moment to figure out what's going on before they both gang up on their closest target; Eklektos.

Short sword attack #1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Short sword attack #2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 (+2 flanking bonus applied)
Short sword damage #1: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Short sword damage #2: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 2) + 1 = 8 (+1d6 sneak attack added)

The first Rogue hits, while the second misses, still feeling the effects of Semenya's sorcery.

Eklektos tries to smash the face of the Rogue to the north-east, but fails miserably yet again.

Mace attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Mace damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Stabilization roll for Theron: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (7) - 3 = 4

>>>Current Map<<<

Up next: Derek.

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

Derek swiftly steps to one side; he then brushes past Semenya, giving her a quick peck on the cheek as he passes by. He then lays a hand on Theron, chanting a healing spell.

Move to O8, then through Semenyas square, to end up in Q10, casting cure light wounds and stopping inspire courage for now.

"Such horrible, horrible people, why you are so evil it’s almost...theatrical!"

Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

The Rogue in O10 tries to stab Derek as he begins his movement, but the bard's advanced maneuverability allows him to easily sidestep the lunge.

Short sword AoO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Short sword damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Theron's eyes open as Derek's healing touch cause some of his most grievous wounds to close, and the big cat looks gratefully at Derek.
(Theron is still prone until his action)

The Tiefling by Appario and Semenya drops his crossbow and draws a light mace, provoking AoOs from both of them. If he survives the AoOs, he tries to knock Semenya over the head.

Potential Mace attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Potential Mace damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

Regardless of if he lives or dies, the mace misses.

The Tiefling furthest east continues to use his crossbow, this time lining up a shot at Derek.

Crossbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Crossbow damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5

The crossbow bolt also misses, nearly continuing on past Derek into the other Tiefling.

Up next: AoOs from Appario and Semenya, then regular turns from Appario and Semenya.

Neither dropping a weapon nor drawing a weapon provokes. If the tiefling is picking one up off the ground, that is a different matter. I'll give you the AoO, but recognize that I'm not sure it should exist.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 to hit;
1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 damage.

The dice never lie.

* * *

Appario will draw an AoO from Tiefling #1 as he moves to 08, then to N9.

Appario uses Theron's stirrings to as distraction as he slices into Rogue#2.

1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 2 = 22 to hit;
1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 damage.

"That cat is a friend of mine. You are not."

Appario Lind wrote:

It seems that you're right. I was sure drawing a weapon provoked (we played that way in my old 3.5 group, anyway), but I guess one can't stop learning new things about this game every day :)

AoO vs Appario's movement: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
AoO damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

Appario goes unhindered towards the Rogue, slicing him over the chest, but not dropping him.

Up next: Semenya. No AoO :)

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

"There he goes again, always showing of and stealing the lime light. You know Appario, when we get out of this, I'm going to insist you take a few lessons and invest a little in the theatrical arts."

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

Semenya twirls balletically, claws glistening with the blood of the Tiefling she smote earlier, and attacks again; spreading the hit to two foes, before swirling out of the way, her tusks and eyes glinting in the light, feral.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 Attack to Tiefling #2
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Damage
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 Attack to Rogue #2
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Damage

Move to O8 after full attack action.

Everybody's channeling their inner bard today :)

Both of Semenya's claws miss their intended targets despite her imposing presence.

The two Rogues continue their flanking attacks on Eklektos; one steps sideways away from Appario's reach after his attack.

Short sword attack #1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 (+2 flanking bonus applied)
Short sword attack #2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 (+2 flanking bonus applied)
Short sword damage #1: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 2) + 1 = 9 (+1d6 sneak attack added)
Short sword damage #2: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 4) + 1 = 10 (+1d6 sneak attack added)

Both Rogues nearly drop their swords as their intended cleverness backfires.

Eklektos steps closer to Theron, then pours a potion of shield of faith into his companion's mouth, opening himself to attack from the nearest Rogue.

Short sword AoO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Short sword damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Just barely having gotten control of his sword again, the Rogue's hasty attack misses.

Theron stands up from his prone position, and attempts to tear out the Rogue's throat.

Bite attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Bite damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

The still somewhat dazed cat fails to connect.

Current Initiative order:

21 - Tieflings
19 - Appario
17 - Semenya
14 - Rogues and Palaveen
13 - Eklektos and Theron
9 - Derek

>>>Current Map<<<

Up next: Derek.

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

Derek, perhaps a little overconfident now, steps up next to tiefling #2, smirks, passes by his comrades and stands next to rouge #5, goes into defensive position and strikes at him with his rapier.

Attack with combat expertise: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Confirm critical hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

"I believe your line is "ouch!" my friend."

The Rogue's line is indeed "Ouch!", embellished by "Aaarghh!", as Derek's rapier slides effortlessly into the Tiefling's body and nearly through. Despite this, however, the Tiefling remains standing as Derek is pulling his rapier back out of the hole it created.

Tiefling #2 steps up to Semenya and tries to clobber her over the head again.

Mace attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Mace damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

This time he hits, dealing 1 nonlethal damage.
(since that is the minimum)

The Tiefling furthest east continues to wind up and shoot his crossbow, this time going after the again-standing Theron.

Crossbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Crossbow damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

The bolt misses.

>>>Current Map<<<

Up next: Appario, then Semenya.

You people are busting me up. lol.

Appario will walk to Q8 (taking an AoO from P8) to engage in the flank with Semenya, but also set up his next charge to tiefling #3 next turn.

1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16 to hit;
1d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 damage.

"Semenya, who did the work on your prop claws? They almost look real."

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

"Ah yes, when you get the final blow, remember this if you want a chance to reappear later in the play. Clutch your wound with one hand, claw at the air with the other and exclaim: You haven't seen the last of <Insert name> you fool!" if you do then you might rise from brute to recurring foe."

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

I think I've lost track of who Derek and Appario attacked, but if they both attacked Tiefling #2, he should be down.

Semenya, seeing Appario attack the Tiefling that just tried to conk her on the head, turns to face east, and lets her claws transform back into her hands, cocking her crossbow.

"Beware the scathing words of theater reviewers. Their words can be quite...pointed."

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Crossbow at Tiefling #3
1d8 ⇒ 4 Damage

"And their wit barbed."

(Note: IF the tiefling in front of Semenya is NOT down, use this attack instead...)

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Claw at Tiefling #2
1d4 ⇒ 2 Damage
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Claw at Tiefling #2
1d4 ⇒ 3 Damage

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

"Hah! Deadpan snarking AND deadly puns, truly, my lady Semenya is as skilled and deadly as she is beautiful."

Appario takes the Tiefling down, amidst one final missed blow from its mace.

Mace AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Mace damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

Semenya's bolt lodges itself in the eastern Tiefling's chest, and he doesn't look particularly healthy anymore. He's still able to stand, though.

The two Rogues attack Derek and Eklektos, respectively, before stepping back.

Short sword attack #1 (vs Derek): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Short sword attack #2 (vs Eklektos): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Short sword damage #1: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Short sword damage #2: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Both strikes hit, dealing 3 damage to Derek and 7 damage to Eklektos.

Eklektos and Theron move after the Rogues, Eklektos trying to hit one, while Theron becomes a flurrying death-machine against the other.

Mace attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Mace damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Bite attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 (+2 flanking bonus applied)
Claw attack #1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 (+2 flanking bonus applied)
Claw attack #2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 (+2 flanking bonus applied)
Bite damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Claw damage #1: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Claw damage #2: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Potential critical: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Critical damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Eklektos misses his target, while Theron mows his down.

Up next: Derek.

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

"I was sure there was something I should do here, now what was that?"
Derek looks contemplative for a moment, tapping his nose, then he shines up and smiles.

"Ah yes, of course!"

Derek steps up besides Eklektos and stabs at the tiefling, remembering to play it nice and defensive.

Attack using combat expertise: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

"I'm sorry luv, I didn't really forget about you, it's just, you all looks so much alike."

Derek stumbles as he strikes, thrusting his rapier into the stone floor instead of into the Rogue.

The Tiefling inches forward, still with Semenya's crossbow bolt stuck in his chest, then reloads his own crossbow and retaliates with a shot aimed at the half-orc.

Crossbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Crossbow damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

The bolt hits, dealing 4 damage to Semenya.

"We can deal with the chaff over here Appario, go through the door, look for a leader, show them who is the protagonist!"

Appario's player is at PaizoCon, and Appario was going to charge the Tiefling that Semenya shot.

Male Human (Taldan) Abadaran Militant 12

I'm live blogging at PaizoCon HERE. Not very exciting, but some fun.

As promised, Appario charges Tiefling #3.

1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 2 = 15 to hit;
1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 damage.

"Let's end this and go together."

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

Semenya removes the bolt from from her shoulder, grimacing at it. She trots east to O11 and casts Acid Orb on the tiefling in M12.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 Acid Orb attack vs Touch
1d3 ⇒ 2 Damage if it hits

Appario muscles the life out of his chargee, while Semenya's acid orb also finishes off her target.

"It seems," a cold voice says, although no owner of that voice can be seen, "that if one wants something done, one has to do it oneself."

Another Tiefling materializes in the room, looking blurry as if you all had double-vision. He has large horns jutting from his brow and pointed ears, as well as a beard that gives him a goatish look. His orange blood glows and flickers in his veins as if it was on fire. A scar in the shape of the holy symbol of Asmodeus decorates his forehead.

The Tiefling brandishes a black symbol with a red pentagram (which you all recognize as the holy symbol of Asmodeus), gestures, and a wave of cold energy washes over you.

Will saves vs channel negative energy:
Appario: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Derek: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Eklektos: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Semenya: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Theron: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Negative energy damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2

The 2 points of damage dealt to Appario and 1 point of damage dealt to everyone else in the party doesn't match the Tiefling's demeanor, although Theron becomes visibly staggered.

Current Initiative order:

19 - Appario
17 - Semenya
14 - Palaveen
13 - Eklektos and Theron
9 - Derek

Actions for Eklektos and Theron coming up.

Eklektos glances at his companion with sad eyes, and says "I'm sorry, friend. I have no healing powers left." He then focuses on the new Tiefling and charges.

Mace attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Mace damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Eklektos's mace hits, denting one of the Tiefling's horns.

Theron drags himself slowly up into the corridor, licking his wounds as he goes.

Appario wearily turns to look at the newcomer. "You? You're the cause of all this? I don't suppose you want to reconsider your ill faith and find a new life of order and good?" Appario pauses, then reconsiders the foolishness of his question.

**SIGH**

Appario raises his sword and charges, unleashing the divine might of Abadar though his sword, using the same might to shield him from harm.

1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 28 to hit (assuming evil, -2 if not);
1d10 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6 damage.

Edit:

Critage:

1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 25 to hit (assuming evil, -2 if not);
1d10 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 2 = 13 damage.

Interesting; when looking at your post in the thread you're dealing 21+21 damage, but in the reply window it's only 6+13 :)

Anyway, there's a mirror image effect in play here, so unless Derek gets rid of it first I'll have to roll to see if you hit the image instead of him.

He's both evil and an Outsider, so if you do hit him it'll be a quite painful experience for him :)

Male Human (Azalanti) Hp: 96/110, AC: 30 Bard 8/Fighter 4

Seeing the being that must be the boss, and knowing that now is the time to use all power, derek then realizes that he HAS no power left at this point, except a little music.

Derek begins using inspire courage again, and then he nimbly moves behind the tiefling boss, blocking any retreat back through the door, trusting his ever present mobility.

Inspire courage 8/9

As Derek moves past the Tiefling, he opens himself to a blow from its morningstar.

Morningstar AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Morningstar damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Derek's nimble agility allows him to twist his body just as the weapon is about to hit, avoiding it entirely.

50/50 chance for Appario to hit the image: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (1 is the image, 2 is the Tiefling)

Appario's precision-strike slices through the Tiefling's armor, dealing 21 damage (when inspire courage is added). Despite the devastating blow, he's still standing. However, the look of confidence quickly fades from his face, replaced by one of muted desperation.

Wow. I can't believe I forgot to roll the miss chance for Eklektos's attack earlier.. Rolling it now instead.

Miss chance: 1d2 ⇒ 1 (1 is image, 2 is Tiefling)

The double-vision effect disappears, as Eklektos's mace goes straight through the extra copy.

Up next: Semenya.

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer, 7th (Brass Draconic Bloodline)

Semenya steps back to N12 and throws an Acid Orb at the Tiefling.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 To Hit, Ranged Touch
1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Acid

Semenya's acid orb misses the Tiefling and splashes against the wall.

The Tiefling channels another wave of negative energy, calling out "By the power of Asmodeus!" as he does so.

Will saves vs channel negative energy:
Appario: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Derek: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Eklektos: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Semenya: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Negative energy damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10

Everybody is able to partially resist the cold wave, but still take 5 damage each. Eklektos falls to the floor, blood oozing from his wounds. The Tiefling steps next to the druid's fallen body, his confidence growing again.

"Bastard! I know, I know, a bit redundant in your case seeing as you are probably a bastard in nature, name AND birth status."

Derek steps up next to the tiefling in N8, gets into a defensive position and stabs.

Attack with combat expertise: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Inspire courage 9/9
