I can help out Amelia's AC, but that was a long day with lots of combats and I was running low on spells.

Liam has Shield of Faith (+4 deflection) and Barkskin (+5 natural), and a 2nd-level Pearl of Power (can't actually prep more than one Barkskin since it is a domain-only spell). He can't cast Shield (+4 shield) on Amelia, unfortunately. He does have Magic Vestment, and is planning to get some Anointing Oil to make that a +4.

He now has Inspire Heroics, which grants a +4 dodge bonus to AC. Can use either that or Inspire Courage, although there are times when I would pick defense over offense.

He will also start wearing the Band of Triumph; since he already wears the Band of the Crusader’s Alliance, his other magic ring (Ring of Protection +2) has to go, at least until he can craft or buy a Hand of Glory. He will rely on Shield of Faith for a Deflection bonus, or else the two aura abilities from his domain. The Band of Triumph seems like it should let him have two different bardic abilities going at once, since the Band itself is providing the Inspire Courage but at Liam’s bonus. Then he could be free to use Inspire Greatness or Inspire Heroics – at least for the 3 rounds that the ring’s effect is working.

Who is going to want the daily Mind Blank? Liam is currently at a +20 Will, or +22 when seeing the Standard, with immunity to sleep, fear, and charm effects and an extra +6 vs compulsions (+2 racial, +4 sacred). He is unlikely to fail saves vs mind-affecting things, and doesn't really go Invisible much (the immunity to See Invisibility being a nice part of Mind Blank).

Realistically, I don't know if I actually need the Mind Blank. I have the worst Will Save among us all I'm sure But a +4 versus Mind Affecting, but I get rerolls and I have Koriana's Blade to immediately pass one once per day and two Primal Screams.

@Amelia - if you don't want Mind Blank, then I don't think I need to prepare it. The protection against scrying does no good if only 1 PC has it. It was a much better spell when it granted immunity to mind-affecting things (like the various Power Word spells - what good is a +8 save against a no-save effect?). Since it is a domain slot, I can prepare a lower-level domain spell in that space, maybe a Quickened Protection from Energy.

There are some nasty non-mind-affecting Will saves where Iron Will would beat Steadfast Personality - like Glitterdust, Bestow Curse, Plane Shift, and most of all Harm - but your Inexplicable Luck will help there.

@Thanara - I think your HP are too low. I was considering preparing Shield Other to use on you, but your character sheet shows 16 Con. 15d6+45 should be 107 HP.

@All - I haven't actually played a PF cleric at this level, so am not thoroughly familiar with the high-level spells. Liam doesn't have maxed-out Wis, so he doesn't get any bonus spells for 7th and 8th levels, but he still gets a few. Feel free to offer suggestions as to what you have found to be useful in practice and beneficial to the party. Liam has +1 CL on all Abjuration spells (which gets him an additional spell warded against for Spell Immunity or Greater Spell Immunity).

I find the 7th and 8th level spells are kind of lacking. Its where you hit the "flavour" zone, where every spell is based on alignment They're not bad, but they can be problematic with our alignment makeup.

Greater Spell Immunity is always good, becoming immune to effects like Dispel Magic and others is narrow but when you need it, it is very useful. You could also use it as a way to basically make a budget "Selective Spell".

Unfortunately you cannot use Greater Spell Immunity against Dispel Magic, since Dispel Magic is "SR: No."

Most likely I would ward against no-save spells like Maze, Power Word Stun, Enervation, and Euphoric Tranquility. Greater Spell Immunity does seem like one of the best options at Clr8... but then again, casting Heart of the Mammoth on Amelia would be pretty awesome too.

Lillends are a pretty awesome and versatile summon, and SM8 can get 1d4+1 of them. Could be good. Or, a Quickened Summon IV could get 1d3 Lantern Archons or 1 CG Hound Archon (special Milani rule). The "default" build for Evangelist Cleric is to use summoning a lot and buff the summons with bardic performance. I haven't felt the need to, but it's an option.

You must be at least 7th level to select this focus power.

How does Greater Magic Weapon work with Defending?

We'll say I get +4 Enhancement from GMW, can I go "over" the normal +5 as long as I transfer some of that Enhancement to AC?

GMW doesn't stack with a weapon's existing enhancement bonus, unlike a Magus's Arcane Pool or a Paladin's Divine Bond.

Because it has the same type as the weapon's existing bonus (enhancement) and doesn't explicitly say that it stacks.

Some players like to get a +1 Flaming Holy Frost (or whatever) weapon and then use GMW just to turn the +1 into a +4 while keeping all the special abilities. That's not usually my way, but it can be done.

The idea would be to use the Lesser Extend Rod on Find Traps, Good Hope, and Shield, if this is a dungeon crawl. That would give us 30 minutes on each of those, plus have backups if needed. Find Traps lets us move at full speed which is roughly six times as fast as actively searching for traps (move 10', move action to search 10' square).

Get a good number of protective buffs up and move quickly, getting as much done as possible in our 30-45 mins.

Wind Walk can be a good escape spell if teleportation spells don't work in Duskfathom.

If we come across something that just eats time (e.g. the kind of stuff in PFS scenarios where 'clearing these rocks away takes 1d4 hours and makes all the PCs fatigued') then so be it.

Any suggestions?

If you can spare a slot for Magic Vestments I would appreciate it, bringing me up 2-3 points would make a fairly noticeable difference.

Wait I just remembered its Transmutation and not Abjuration which is your thing. Maybe not so much.

In terms of what I can provide I do have access to Freedom of Movement, Haste, Echolocation Which I'll probably use in place of a True Seeing here, Grand Destiny Strong but not enough slots to justify it, Reinvigorating Wind Removes most simple debuffs in an area and Heightened Reflexes huge bonus to a single Reflex save

Most likely I'll have to use Freedom on myself as well as Echolocation and be selfish with my 2 4th level slots.

Can prepare one in a spell slot as well, maybe skipping Magic Circle Against Evil.

If we can afford Anointing Oil, that will make the one from the spell slot CL16 for a +4.

That is a Lesser Strand of Prayer Beads, which does not have the +4 CL bead.

I need to go through the Book 4 loot and add to my sheet the stuff that I claimed.

But yes, I can prepare two Magic Vestment spells for Amelia, one for the armor and one for the shield if you would like. Liam will spend 50 gp for two vials of Anointing Oil, to give a +4 to each.

Liam did make himself a Sipping Jacket that he rarely uses. Would anybody like to wear it? We have a Potion of CSW from Book 4 that would allow for a 3d8+5 swift-action heal. Or, it would also work well with a Potion of Displacement (or other round/level buff). Liam has numerous competing actions for his swift actions now so the Jacket isn't all that great for him.

If nobody else wants it, he will wear it and pour in the Potion of CSW.

Also, I realized that Blessing of Fervor can Extend all the 1st and 2nd-level spells, saving the Rod for 3rd-level ones.

So at the beginning of the day do the hour/level spells like Magic Vestment. Once we reach Duskfathom, cast Blessing of Fervor and cast Shield, Shield of Faith, Barkskin, and Find Traps, using the Rod for Good Hope and Invisibility Purge (leaving 1 use of the Rod for later).

Fervor only allows you to Extend 1 spell per person, per casting. Might not be worth burning it to extend there.

Are you sure about that?
I thought it was one spell per round, not just one spell for the entire duration of the Blessing.

Each round you can choose a benefit, and one of the potential benefits is "Cast a single spell of 2nd level or lower as if it were an enlarged, extended, silent, or still spell."

(It isn't a free cast in addition to your actions, which is how some people misinterpret it, but it is a free metamagic from those listed.)

Liam, I could take the sipping jacket, I suppose, if no one else wants it. I don't usually get too hurt, though. Honestly, I think it makes more sense for you to keep it. With your spells, I think giving you access to a quickened healing effect is more beneficial.

BoF would let you extend, but that means we presumably wouldn't have those spells until we get into our first fight (or expending a BoF earlier just for the extend benefits). I think that might make sense to wait, since the first fight will probably signal we're in any "dungeon" proper.

I do have a communal stoneskin spell that I could apply -- we'll need to get components for that.

I was constraining my spell selection because I had almost no money for material components.

But...

If we sell off the things from Book 4 that we had kept for a while, that is 35,950 GP. I think this would be split 3 ways since Thanara came in during Book 5 with full WBL, and this loot is part of the WBL for the rest of us.

Lesser Strand of Prayer Beads (4,800) - not needed
Unfettered Shirt (5,000) - nobody has been using this, and we can just cast Freedom of Movement
Minor Ring of Acid Resistance (6,000) - not that much resistance
Orb of Golden Heaven (11,000) - while getting the whole set would have been cool, Liam's hands are generally full with the Standard and Scion's Dagger, leaving no room for the Orb (and potential Scepter).

Hey guys.

So some of you may know, I recently got a promotion and am taking on leadership of two surgical ICU units at my hospital. We are a high acuity facility, and there is a lot of pressure and responsibility falling on the shoulders of both myself and my entire staff (as is always the case for healthcare employees in general, but I digress).

But, the past few days have shown me I need to trim things down significantly in my life to give the new job the focus it deserves. As such, I regretfully am going to have to withdraw from this game. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I have to do what I have to do to for my new situation.

Okay I'm kind of back. Had a bit of a crisis with some family and the hospital but we're recovering.

I just get Improved Evasion, +1 Strength this level, 1 extra 2nd level spell per day and extra Deadly Aim / Power Attack Damage... And I guess a 4th attack at -15.

It's amazing what a 2 Handed build can do with just Power Attack and +7 Strength honestly. Considering I "threw" away all my feats for the Lucky Tree, I think that's not too bad!

@Liam: I'm fairly certain casters do get their slots but they'll need to spend the time to prepare them (if prepared).

@Liam: I couldn't have Bestowed Luck anyway. Using it on OTHER people is an Immediate Action, and I already cast Deivon's Parry. Using it on MYSELF on the other hand... is a Free Action before any roll.

Which makes me realize that I could straight up have Nova'd this guy with 5 attacks dumping every +8 into it... That is kind of wild but super duper risky as I'll have no contingency afterwards. The post-roll +4 might be better in the long run, but having that Nova ability might be handy moving forward.
