“The Lucky Bones was, to the public, a gambling hall and opium den.
In truth, the building was a front for a guild of thieves and abductors known as the Gray Spiders.
The full might of the Order of the Torrent came down on them, and when they were done, the Gray Spiders were no more.
But then Lictor Yehl, made the curious choice to seal the Lucky Bones. It was discovered that Yehl planned to return to the complex to loot it.
Yehl and the others were expelled, but no one ever followed up with the Lucky Bones.
Lictor Arcamo was ashamed of the entire episode and forbade any of the rest from investigating it, and in time, it all mercifully slipped from memory.
But those chambers still exist below the ruined gambling hall—chambers that were never mapped or officially reported. For all intents and purposes, they do not exist.
Sounds to me to be the perfect place for a rebellion to set up shop... provided someone first scouts the place out to ensure nothing unwanted has moved in!”

We're not doing anything that requires showing our faces right? We just need to get one dude out of the complex, and I think we can communicate with him pretty easily like we did last time.
We know the layout of the place I think and we know there's dog guards. Maybe on one side we stage a very bad breakin attempt. On the other side we help the guy climb out of his window and escape over the wall and then on some signal the distraction people escape and we all meet back up in the sewers and get the dude to the captain?

OK. Communicate with the target to let him know what to expect, then a small sneaky team goes to help the guy and larger less sneaky team makes a distraction?
Nio will definitely be on team distraction. They're probably going to have to fight. Who else is on which teams?

I'd prefer making no noise at all, as I'm worried this might draw too much attention too fast.
We're in the more affluent parts of town now, no? Might go south fast if we make too much noise.
That said, I might be overthinking things, and am more than willing to go with this plan if we can't think of a better one.

Nio is good either way, too. He's got Stealth but he's not great at it. His pet lizard has a +11, though. They could sneak if we all want to be on Team Sneaky. If there is a Team Distraction, though, it makes more sense for him to be making noise.

Erodel will go with Team Sneaky (+11 Stealth) and as an added bonus, he can hit fairly hard (assuming the dicebot doesn't do untoward things to him again) if things go sideways for the stealth crew.

BUT how about this. We try to go full stealth with the actually sneaky people. If they start to draw attention then Team distraction will start to cause trouble on another side to give team sneaky time to get out.
Stricia will be willing to go with the more dangerous backup distraction team.

I think Team Distraction will be near the front gate? Does the wall and/or gate look like it's easy to climb? I'm thinking if needed Stricia will climb onto the wall and maybe throw stones at the windows.

That makes sense. I think Nio has a thunderstone, which should be a good attention-getter. He's also got Sleeves of Many Garments and scrolls of Disguise Self and Expeditious Retreat for when they need to run away. :)
How will Team Distraction (which might just be Stricia and Nio?) know if Team Stealth gets in trouble?

Yeah, it's definitely a hellhound. I can't think of anything that would draw a hellhound but not guards. Could we roll for an idea, DM? Like certain incense or meat a hellhound would like?

Some sort of recall knowledge? Maybe Team Distraction can instead fight the hellhound under some sort of silence spell while the rest just get the prisoner out?
I'd say either a high knowledge planes roll (to have an idea of particular diet) or maybe survival (for a lure)

Anyways, I'm thinking I can hit it with an adhesive spittle to stick it in place, use expeditious retreat and take the letter and leg it to the window, and use jump to Mario my way up there.

Stricia is really good at tanking so if she gets the word from Idril she'll come back to crane style the dog.

Stricia has started to put that plan into motion. Martials might end up just beating on it while the rest get the prisoner out.
Unless you can climb the fence elsewhere or pick the front gate, you will be coming in the west gate.. I'll say it's about 180' to go around and get to the west gate.

How difficult does it look to climb the gate or wall? Can Stricia tell how easy it would be for her to do (she has +9 climb).
She's still running this round (160' run speed per round), this is for future reference.

Hi, all! DM Bloodgargler has given me permission to ask if anyone is interested in a new campaign I'm going to be running. I like to reach out to players I already know before I open up to general recruitment.
The campaign will be set in an existing Kingmaker kingdom but the PC party won't be the rulers of the land. Instead, the PCs will be adventurers and problem solvers hired by the NPC rulers to do missions as they come up. The game will deal with content from outside the Kingmaker AP but the setting will be based on a Kingmaker kingdom and near the land of Brevoy.
