I'm going to take a break from posting for a few days guys. The mosque attack in NZ has me feeling pretty distraught. So many want me and my family dead just for being us. It gets to me.
Stricia |
Thanks for the kind words all. A little bit of time has helped but your words of support have done even more.
It does seem like it's becoming more clear to people how deeply embedded and accepted bigotry has become in our society and that provides some hope that things might actually start to turn around.
I hate to get political for a bit here but if you guys could push back against people in your lives that make blanket statements about "Muslims" or "Islam" then that would be wonderful. Criticising specific Muslims or specific understandings of Islam on the other hand is not only perfectly okay but necessary. Blanket otherizations and demonization of us though is what makes tragedies like this far more likely to take place.
And that applies to any vulnerable group, not just the one that me and mine happen to be a part of.
Playing with you all is a bright spot in my life and brings me a heck of a lot of joy. I hope that I'll have the ability to keep doing so for a long time to come.
I'll level up soon.

Aye.. you got it. My family’s church has a sort of partnership with the Uqbah Masjid Foundation in Cleveland... several joint community functions for men and women’s groups.
“Not to think alike but to walk together” is the church credo.
I really think there is more love and acceptance than hate out there.. it’s just that the hate makes more noise.

Exactly, the world is nowhere near as dark as the extremists wants us to think.
But good news just don't have the same impact on the media, so we just don't SEE it as much as the bad.
Most people are pretty decent people, and even the ones that might not be interested in doing good are even less interested in doing harm.
Stricia |
Thanks a lot all. It really does bring a lot of comfort to know there is more good than evil in the world and that the good is starting to really push back as it has become necessary.
In other news. I've levelled Stricia up and it's a pretty important level! Wis goes to 18 which bumps up a lot of things including AC AND there's the monk AC bonus to booth. Also she's picked up the Barkskin qinngoing power which will really help her survivability as well. She's becoming as tanky as I wanted. Plus she gets 1d8 unarmed.

I will do my best to push against bigotry and hate. As DMB and Indio mentioned already, there is also a lot of good in the wold, and I saw a huge outpouring of love and support towards the Muslim community in my circles.

OK... we need to decide what actions to take. Three may be taken from the above list.
Also, you have a week to work on other matters if you wish. If you have a way to earn gold on your own, you may use normal profession skill rules, or downtime rules if you are/become familiar with them. You also have loot to sell if you need some gold.
Lastly, feel free to PM me regarding the current recruitment.
Jacques "Indio Black" Jhaltero |
Hmm, well, we should spread Disinformation for one, it seems thematically appropriate after getting our hands on information the enemy probably didn't want us to have.
I'm thinking that it might also be an idea to upgrade our Tengu team, but that's just suggestion.
Stricia |
I'm not too sure where the rebellions is at but it seems like it's just starting out? If so Earn Gold would seem to be valuable. What teams do we have?
So
Spread Disinformation to reduce Notoriety
Upgrade Tengu Team.?
Earn Gold?
DM Bloodgargler |
OK... so Spread Disinformation sounds like a go with 3 votes (which would be a Vendalfek-led whisper campaign)
Two votes for upgrade team: Fushi Sisters (which will yield the Covert Action action)
work with any other team to hide any evidence that the
rebellion was involved in an operation. This grants all
d20 rolls made to resolve the rebellion act immediately
following a Covert Action a bonus to the roll equal to
the spies’ manager’s Charisma bonus. Furthermore,
any Notoriety gained from this action is automatically
reduced to the minimum amount possible. Alternatively,
a Covert Action can be used to place a contact or stash
of gear in a specific adventure site. Your GM will have
information on these acts when they become relevant
during the course of the campaign, but once you place a
contact or stash in a site, it only remains for 1 week.
One vote for Earn Gold

Hey guys I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow for about five days so any posting will be real sporadic until the 16th or so!
Also I'm starting a new job on the 22nd. I have NO idea what that'll do to my posting rate but at least for a while it'll be slow for sure as I figure out how much free time I will have. Might even be more as the commute is shorter but we will see.

Some of us will require disguises if such a tactic is to be used, the others can support via stealth. I myself, am like a shadow. Stricia contributes.
The funniest part about Stricia's statement (yes, I read the spoiler too) is that everyone else in the party has a +9 or +10 to stealth :)

Hey guys, so I'm thinking a few things we could try.
1. Stake out the place, see who goes in and out.
2. Ask around the area about the recent changes to the jail
3. Find out who installed the door.
Based on what we find out we could possibly find a few different ways of getting info on what is inside as well as ways of getting in and out.
DM Bloodgargler |
Upkeep Phase
Step 1 Supporter Attrition
loyalty check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
standard attrition: 1d6 ⇒ 6 = Down to 16 supporters
Step 2 Notoriety Maximum (100)
Rexus trait.. Notoriety reduced by 1.. = down to 2
Step 3 Treasury Shortage (Treasury is at 121gp... minimum is 40)
Step 4 Increase Rank (not enough supporters to increase rank)
>? Step 5 Deposits and Withdrawals: Any rebellion
officer can deposit or withdraw any amount of gold from
or to the rebellion’s treasury.
