Yeah, and I need something to do some direct damage, though my arrows should be far more effective now that I have precise shot.

Of course, it'd help if I remember I can use Intimidate and/or daze when I have no ability to attack.

So we could spend a whole day on the surface -- giving everyone time to heal, cash in the gems, scribe a second scroll etc. but letting Saul get farther away -- or I think we have some CLW potions if we want to use those so we can go back down first thing in the morning.

Re: Strategy, Bru and Lefrik might be able to set up a flank at the entrance to the tunnel, giving them the chance to exceed the dretch's DR and keeping them coming one at a time. Between that and the spellcasters, hopefully we can finish them off with magic, then go after Kara Killgrave there in the back (points for anyone who gets *that* esoteric reference).

FYI, I'll be on vacation starting Friday. I expect I'll have some Internet access, but I don't know for sure, so please feel free to DMPC me if you're ever just waiting on me.

My thoughts strategy wise at the moment are concentrate on the dretches, since the other woman so far isn't being a threat. I've got two more ear-piercing screams I can use, which hopefully will be enough to take care of them along with Anklebiter's EPS and maybe a back stab and big swing combo from Blondie and Beardless. ; )

If she gets hurt, she'll use a swift action to switch her judgment to a healing one; if not, she'll switch to something to help her hit/damage. If we finish the dretches off without using all her spells, I figured she'd cast true strike/wrath before advancing and then try to snipe the woman.


Thanks for the heads up. We'll look out for your character. Sorry the most interesting (potentially) battle has to come when you're out of town.

IIRC, I think they've got some series fire resistance. Not sure if our characters know that, though.

The good part about this spell is that it isn't just fire. If they fail the save, they also get knocked prone.

Giving Bruendor the combo of the slippers and ring would make for some interesting scouting and sneak attack opportunities.

Kel will pass on all items, they'll benefit the party more on other characters. At some point she would benefit from a masterwork light crossbow, but that's a low priority on the big picture.

I like the idea of ring and slippers going to Brue if he wants them. I think he's the only one who uses a rapier, so that works for him too. Looks like he makes out like a bandit.

Give Calla the crossbow (I guess it can work as a backup weapon?) and chainmail?

Looks like we might want to sell the leather armor and mwk items?

Makes sense I think to give the barkskin potion to Anklebiter, who I think would benefit the most from it.

Any checks to figure out what the boots are?

Sorry, that was vague and I clearly was suffering from the fatigued condition at the time. The part labeled "Odds & Ends," starting with the platinum box. I think I accurately identified the onyx, the diamond dust, and the earring, got close on the perfume and the ring, and wildly inaccurate (sadly) on the platinum box.

I'd like to perform a proper alchemical analysis of that perfume, just in case.

The diamond dust is a great big temptation... We could use it as a component for some useful spells, right? The black onyx would probably only be useful for necromancy spells - yuck.

Hmm. If it were just perfume, it shouldn't be this difficult. I vote we keep it around for now, and see if we can't find a more competent alchemist.

Agreed. As for the boots, is there anything we can see to indicate they're not just regular boots? Otherwise, I think Calla would just toss them.
