Whilst Chi would be a little reserved with Sasha, but I had hoped to let her have a multiclass with the rogue class. Can I use Sasha to help in teaching the rogue class talents etc, as they are can be pre-reqs to assassins? In which case she would take the training with Sasha.

I kind of wonder if you guys are getting as sick of Dimorphodons as I am by now. JJ put way too many dimorphodon nests in this first section of the island in my opinion.

The drawing looks great...just one too many braids....I seem to remember a tiefling taking one of those ;)

As far as the dimorphodons go, you could alway substitute some other critter if you are tired of the dimorphodons.

I've been tempted to, but you've exterminated most of them for now and theres few you can't avoid now. While I never run an AP fully as written and I tend to change a lot, I wasn't too keen on messing with the predator nests.

Guys i'd like some input from you all.

Karma Police aka Flute hasn't posted for about 10 or 11 days now- I have one of the backup players lined up and ready to play- so do you want to hangon for Flute a bit longer or get someone else in to replace him?

Its no trouble for me playing him in combat in the short term, but i'm not comfortable DMing for 7 players, so if Flute does return and we've enlisted a 6th, he may not be able to return to play easily.

Hmmm. Yeah, he hasn't posted on the boards at all as either Flute or Karma Police since August 31. Hope everything is okay...

Maybe give him until Sept. 14? That would be two solid weeks.

I agree on that count, Flute was cool, and he did say he might be a bit, two weeks is reasonable.

Oh I think his RP is great, no issues there. Ok, so we'll discuss this again on the 15th if Flute isn't back.

Well I consider my Kingmaker PbP to be fairly good and I still lost a player there, so i'm getting accustomed to not taking it personally. Tanner has a backup slot, is a regular poster and I chat to him most days on MSN so he will replace Karma if it comes to that.

As for the game, theres very little prompting from me so don't feel like your waiting for me to update, unless its in combat. This chapters very reactive and player driven, and the sooner you declare your plans the sooner I can move the game forward. I need definitive plans, not just a mention of something or an implication and expecting me to act on it.

Just wanted to add my compliments on an interesting pbp on the Serpent's Skull adventure. You guys have certainly made it an entertaining read.

I'm going to run a CoT game and I wanted to give everyone here a chance to play if they'd like. Please let me know ASAP. I plan to only run with a party of 4 or maybe 5 at the most, and I have a Rogue slot already filled (most likely).

Take a look at Quei Drathan and if she meets your approval then I'd be happy to give her a go. Her mechanics have got a screwed, when I altered her for another class for a CoT game, which she didn't get in. I can revert her back to the sorcerer, once I know more about the mechanics you are using.

Alternatively, I would be happy to spec the character up as an Oracle, which works equally well.

Karma Police hasn't posted for two weeks now. I'd like to know what you would like to do next (please read my post several posts above about this before replying). I have another 6th player lined up and we could tie him in as early as today or tomorrow.

I loved Karma (and, by proxy, Flute), but at this point I think we've waited long enough. I'm sure he won't have any hard feelings if/when he does drop by - two weeks is a long time. No way would I be willing to wait that long in a game of my own.

You've waited as long (perhaps even longer) as can be expected. Flute was a neat character, but has been MIA too long.

Who's the new player, and what are they bringing to the island?

Agreed, we've give him a long enough grace period. Maybe write him out and drop down to a five man party for another two weeks, and if he still doesn't return, replace him.

Well it'd be nice to get some replacement Dwarf love, and monks are cool.

My humble opinion only, Storm, but we shouldn't ask a guy who's been waiting in the wings for a week or more to wait another two weeks, or even a day. Karma's been gone too long, we're making the decision jointly to say "yeah, that's too long"...decision made, let's just get Tanner in.

Alex...thanks for the Viper Vine today, it inspired my Viper bush, rather tackilly put together for the RL group I am DMimg at the moment. Used the same sort of idea incorporated into a mountain setting, for the a Legacy of Fire game. I didn't really know the details for the plant, but I ended up having 2 players impaled and dying on the viper bush...In the fight earlier in the day, the oracle, who is the only one with real healing was poisoned down to 4 con, so needed a restorative spell or something...queue 'Viper Bush'....

The 2 impaled dying characters will probably remember to get healing before attempting a new encounter next time....

Anyway...thanks...we had a lot of fun with that and the freshwater squid in the river on the way to the bush...

Deevor, I have a confession to make - I didn't get much sleep last night thanks to my two-month old being awake with a cold most of the time, and I completely forgot that we talked about you playing in my CoT game when I selected and published the party for that game. I didn't really leave room for a sorceror, either, since I selected one arcanist and gave a backup slot to another. Again, I super-apologize - would it be alright with you if I just moved ahead with the group I have? If I have to kick out someone I selected that's going to be a real drag for me.

....no I don't....I do understand, we all have busy lives and yours must be really busy with a young one demanding your attention all through the night. It's just the way of the world. I agree with you, if you kicked one of the guys you chose for me, then I'd feel pretty pissed off at the DM guy. So no worries, have a good one...just quietly add me on the wait list. Hope the game goes well, it takes a lot of commitment to DM, I think, so good luck and have fun.
