Saphina Greenfoot
Nanbu, be careful. I’ve got a bad feeling about this. I think friendly contact might be a mistake.
Although Saph is not an inherently violent person, she recognizes these creatures to be a possible threat. Drawing her bow and ducking behind some cover, she intends to be ready when things go badly.
Dex Strealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

I assume Sashah stands back.
Adrian, Skyreaver and Nanbu approach the Grungs. They catch sight of what the creatures are so excited about. They eagerly point toward the stone altar.
The party takes a look at what the altar may contain.
They see an amulet shaped like a half moon. It is mostly metallic with a black leathery substance decorating the center.
Nanbu save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Skyreaver save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Adrian save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Adrian advantage: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
GM Star Drake
Nanbu and Adrian feel themselves drawn to the amulet. They feel the need to protect it. The grungs draw their weapons and attack.
Nanbu and Adrian are charmed. They feel the urge to protect the amulet from intruders who would want to take it!
Initiative:
Nanbu: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Adrian: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Saphina: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Skyreaver: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Rakdon: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Sashah: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Grungs: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Saphina
Grungs
Rakdon
Nanbu
Skyreaver
Sashah
Adrian
Saphina is alerted to this treachery and may attack first. Her companions are acting a bit odd...
Lets do this theatre of the mind as it's straightforward. The amulet is on a stone block. Nanbu, Adrian and Skyreaver are 10' away from it. The rest of the party is about 40' away.
Sashah
"How curious.." Sashah mutters as he grabs his holy symbol and says a familiar prayer.
Casts Santuary and begins walking to the amulet.
Nanbu Tchitlu
Nanbu makes a beeline for the amulet, drawing his club and casting shillelagh to protect it from the Grung! Will try to provoke an Attack of Opportunity from all of them, if there is enough space, otherwise, Nanbu places himself between the trinket and the grung, taking a swing as he passes through! Do we recognize this as part of the same amulet that was influencing the halfling at the ziggurat?
shillelagh: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Rakdon Tripus
|
When it comes to Rakdons turn he will firebolt the nearest enemy as he only has 1 other 1st level spell slot left and doesn't feel like using it. hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (5) = 10 dmg: 1d10 ⇒ 7 but when he fires he forgets to take into account which way the enemy is moving so that the enemy can move into tiny fireball, as the bolt hit where the enemy was about a half a second ago. I know this is turn based, but in all reality this is all happening at the same time as a round is 6 seconds.
Saphina Greenfoot
As she sees Nanbu move into an aggressive posture heading for the center of the small clearing, Saph assumes that diplomacy has gone out the window and lets loose an arrow from her hidden location.
Attacking the creature furthest from the party.
Short Bow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Advantage(hidden): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 3 + (4) = 10
Nanbu Tchitlu
Oh, we wouldn't view the grung as a threat to take the amulet? I was thinking the whole One Ring kind of all of us fighting each other for the amulet. That changes my whole plan for my turn, though I will still make a beeline for the amulet.

Ok but best to wait until I've posted an update for the Grungs.
GM Star Drake
Posting again. I rolled for what targets the Grungs are going for earlier and won't reroll them.
Saphina's arrow strikes one of the Grung and it gasps in pain. It pierces right through its lung and the Grung seems ready to pass. It leaps towards the halfing and then dashes right next to her.
Unable to attack
One of the Green Grungs sees that Skyreaver is unaffected by the amulet and stabs at the Goliath, but the dagger utterly fails to strike the Goliath.
Grung 2 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Another Grung leaps towards Sashah and tosses a spike shaped dagger at him. Note that this takes place before your move
Grung 3 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
The dagger pierces the mage's robes.
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Poison: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
Sashah Con save DC12: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Sashah takes 6 total damage.
The Red Grung studies the battlefield, chortles and leaps towards the middle of the battlefield, tossing a dagger at Rakdon. It, too, finds its target.
Red Grung attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Poison: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Rakdon Con save DC12: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Rakdon's constitution prevents him from taking damage from the vile poison. But the dagger hits him for 4 points.
Rakdon fires at the Red Grung but it misses its target. The frog lets out a croaking chortle. "CROAKHA-CROAKHA!"
Nanbu's turn. You see the party as a threat to the amulet.
Grung 1 (engaged with Saphina): -10 HP Grung 2 (engaged with Skyreaver): next to amulet Grung 3, Red Grung: amidst the group
Nanbu Tchitlu
Nanbu rushes toward the amulet and at the end of his move, turns toward the group and Sorry guys! casts sleep!
sleep: 7d8 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 1, 2, 1, 3) = 22
Affects lowest hp first, elves and half-elves are unaffected.
GM Star Drake
Rakdon falls asleep from the effects of Nanbu's spell, along with the green frog facing Saphina. The Red Frog looks about, wondering what happened, then smiles at Nanbu approvingly.
The amulet seems to shimmer, and Nanbu breaks out from the charm.
Skyreaver/Sashah/Adrian (charmed) may act. Sashah, in light of what has occurred are you changing your move? If you want to head towards the amulet one of the grungs is blocking the way and so is Adrian.
Grung 1 (next to Saphina, asleep): -10 HP Grung 2 (engaged with Skyreaver): next to amulet
Grung 3, Red Grung: amidst the group but not engaged.
Sashah
"Oh would you stop it!" Sashah mutters as he grabs his holy symbol and says a familiar prayer.
Casts Santuary and begins walking to the amulet.
GM Star Drake
Sashah starts walking towards the amulet. He passes by one of the Green Grungs on his way.
Wisdom save: 1d20 ⇒ 19 Unfortunately it shakes off the spell and strikes out at Sashah.
Dagger attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 The dagger cuts through air as the wizard strides towards the amulet. The Grung is confused at the wizard's impunity.
Sashah is just next to Skyreaver. He is about 10' away from the amulet.
Skyreaver/Adrian (charmed) may act.
Grung 1 (next to Saphina, asleep): -10 HP Grung 2 (engaged with Skyreaver): next to amulet
Grung 3, Red Grung: amidst the group but not engaged.
GM Star Drake
Going to bot Skyreaver to move things along
Skyreaver casts Shillelagh and tries to bash the Grung facing her. Unfortunately, the blow strikes air as he misses the wily Grung.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Sir Adrian wants to reach out for the amulet, but it tells him. "Defend me from the infidelsss!"
Sir Adrian obeys and swings his mighty sword at Skyreaver.
Going to use your attack/damage roll that you rolled.
The blade cuts into the goliath!
After delivering the blow, Adrian realises that he has been charmed. His training helps him shake the effects of the amulet's charm off.
-10 hp to Skyreaver. She's taken 17 hp damage total I believe.
Back to Saphina, then the Grungs.
Grung 1 (next to Saphina, asleep): -10 HP Grung 2 (engaged with Skyreaver): next to amulet
Grung 3, Red Grung: amidst the group but not engaged.
Sashah, make a DC 12 saving throw or be charmed during your turn.
Nanbu Tchitlu
Nanbu stands confused and frustrated at being so weak-minded! He looks at his party, somewhat apologetically, and flings an eldritch blast at the red grung!
eldritch blast: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Would I be able to surprise the grung? I mean, is it obvious to it that I am no longer charmed? Can I get advantage? ;)
Sashah
Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Sashah looks slightly disgruntled as he passes Skyreaver and Adrian, "Pull selves togezer. I vill take trouble amulet."
Sasha walks up to the amulet and grabs it.
Depending on the actions required to grab the amulet, I would also like to heal Skyreaver on the way. Priority being the amulet.
If possible Heals 2: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 8) + 3 = 16

Round 3, GWF
Sir Adrian atracks the enemy next to Skyreaver and him.
Sorry, friens, I am not sure what came over me.
GS Att: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Saphina launches another arrow at the closest non sleepy Grung with one of her allies next to it.
Short Bow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Piercing Sneak Damage: 1d6 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + (4) + 3 = 8
She casts a side long glance at the sleeping grung in front of her to make sure he continues to slumber.
GM Star Drake
Saphina's arrow flies over the head of the grung she targeted. The sleeping grung remains asleep.
The Grungs continue their attacks. The Grung next to Skyreaver tries to poke the Goliath with its dagger. The dagger pierces through the Goliath's armor, and the vile poison within seeps into her blood.
Grung 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Con save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Skyreaver has taken 23 points of damage
Another Grung takes out a dagger and tosses it at Saphina, striking the halfling! The poison on the blade seeps into her blood, confusing her vision.
Grung 3: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Con save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Poison damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
The Red Grung studies the battlefield, choosing its enemy carefully. It leaps next to Saphina and attacks with another dagger, but fails to strike.
Target: 1d5 ⇒ 1
Grung 3: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
GM Star Drake
Sashah picks up the amulet and there's the sound of angry croaks from the Grungs.
The cure wounds did not go off as picking up the amulet required an action
Nanbu's eldritch bolt strikes the Red Grung. It turns and stares angrily at the Warlock.
Adrian swings at the Grung next to him and Skyreaver, but his blow cuts air as the Grung dodges.
Rakdon sleeps and dreams... a (normal sized) centipede decides to crawl up his arm.
Grung 1 (next to Saphina, asleep): -10 HP
Grung 2 (engaged with Skyreaver) and Adrian
Grung 3: Not Engaged
Red Grung (-11 hp): Engaged with Saphina
Sashah, Skyreaver to act again.

Saphina Greenfoot
I believe both attacks missed Saph. I see a 14 as the first roll. Also if it did hit, she would have Advantage against poison saves due to her Racial.

Okay I put the Con save after the first Grung's attack which changed the rolls, but I'll let the numbers stand as they are now. Saphina takes no damage.
Skyreaver and Saphina to act| Nanbu Tchitlu |
When it comes around to my action. Nanbu rushes forward to stand between the 3 grung around Saphina and draws his club, casts shillelagh as a bonus action and swings at the red grung!
shillelagh: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
