I have, though, some news that might (just might...) make you a little mad at me. I have to postpone game time's first day... for something important came up...

As someone who isn't involved in the game at this time, I also don't see how he managed it. Daylight is considered a 3rd level arcane spell-like ability by the rules that would let you cheese the level. (Ew.), and thus doesn't qualify him for 2nd Arcane -or- Divine spells (by the same rules).
None of his bonus void spells are divine only, either. And his domain's spell likes don't emulate a specific spell. So I dunno. On that front, if you just mean how do you cheese for low level spellcaster stuff, Spell-like abilities(from races or classes) now count for the purposes of getting early access. They -must- be second level spells, and the spells go in a particular order regarding which class they count as.

:P I don't think you started anything at all. You asked a legitimate question, and I helped you out with the answer. I don't have the proper link to what says it's okay to do that... and I find it super silly, but it is what it is. :)
I certainly know that I'd most probably never play a mystic theurge if I had to have dead levels from like 5-10 before I became decently good at what I was doing, so I can see why you'd want to do it... but I'd much rather paizo fix the requirements to something like 2nd level arcane and 1st level divine OR 1st level arcane and 2nd level divine than give an odd workaround that only works for very specific picks (I think Divination wizard 1 + anythingx2 + divine SLA aasimar can pull it off as well. As an example, if you wanted to just be odd, you could do it with paladin 2.)
It's just... really strange, overall.
