"Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown."
Henry IV, Part II, Act III, Scene 1
The king is dead! In the Varisian port city of Korvosa, the death of a monarch leads to chaos, and only the PCs can hope to save the city from its own darkest tendencies. As the rule of the young queen grows more and more draconian, it's up to a band of bold adventurers to stop the spread of tyranny before all of Korvosa is crushed beneath her iron fist.
Welcome everyone to the discussion thread for our new Curse of the Crimson Throne PbP game. Once everyone checks in I'll get the Gameplay thread up and running.
Sorry for the lack of posting recently. Been trying to get things squared away at work before I go on vacation next week. Given that, my posting is going to be limited next week but I will try to keep in contact as much as possible.
I'll get a post up later tonight to get things moving again.
Well, looks like they are chewing their way through all of 'em. That'll be nice in about six years when they get to Kingmaker after I've finished running it.
After tonight I'll be at my Father in Law's house for the Easter weekend. Hopefully I can find some time to veg on the sofa and bang out a couple of updates.
Nicolai sticks to the shadows idly shuffling his harrow deck. Stopping, he turns over the top card to reveal The Queen Mother. Frowning slightly at the portents, he places the card back in the deck and shuffles once more before putting the deck away.
Nicolai will use his Harrowed feat to give himself a +2 bonus on any one d20 roll involving Wisdom for the day.
You don't need to wait until your action to post. Go ahead and post and I will adjudicate your actions should something change.
Also, please use the map to show the position of your characters in relation to the enemies. I've been moving them in accordance with your actions but if I make a mistake on your position it could have an unintended detrimental effect.
I'm sorry everyone but the past week and a half have been insane. Last week I was informed that I along with the rest of our union's local executive board are being sued by a former employee who feels we did not do enough to prevent his termination for theft.
I've been spending most of this week talking with our union's lawyers and trying to find one for myself.
I'm feeling that I need to get these games moving along if only to take my mind off everything else that's going on, but if I lapse into long silences I wanted you to know why.
